You've outdone yourself! Presenter, contestants, judges, you play your part so well in all of these roles. I was surprised at the Color Wow Day 2 results😯 and also that the Frizz Ease performed well. I always appreciate that you include the smell test. Great video, as always.
Thank you! I was thankful to use mannequins this time to not have to do my hair 5x in one week 😂. The Color Wow was really surprising to me, in person it looked worse too! I couldn't believe it!
THIS!!! Finally an informative video that‘s not boring!!! This was so entertaining, so fun to watch! I would love to see more of those videos and also I would like a test on heat protectants which one’s let the hair burn off and which protect the hair! 🥰
@SummerBeautyc I did it! Went out and bought the Garnier Fructis Frizz control (it was the only one available at my Walmart in smalltown Canada) and applied to my DRY hair last night. This is the first time I've woken up in years where my menopausal hair that is wildly frizzy underneath was almost straight! I know it was your lowest ranked product in this comparison, but I never would have tried if I hadn't seen your video! You have no idea how much it means to me to get one thing that has been driving me nuts under control! PS. The formulation might be slightly different here in Canada. I didn't mind the scent, it smelled mildly fruity (watermelons)/floral to me. It was 8.47 CA. WORTH THE GAMBLE, thanks again!
I love the Color Wow line and have used this product. It works very well and doesn’t feel as heavy and greasy as the Garnier. I haven’t tried the John Frieda yet but now I just might give it a try. Great video! Comedy gold as well 😂
What an incredibly creative yet informative video! I have very coarse,chemically-treated hair and have been using frizz ease for at least 20 years and while once in a while I deviate and decide to try the latest and greatest, nothing compares and always go back to my ride or die product. I will have to say that previous versions of this bottle were much bigger and was quite disappointed when they went to this much skinnier bottle and I find that I go through it quite quickly. I will vouch for this product.
Nice video. Very informative. If only a small amount of John Frieda is used as compared to Color WOW, then a price per oz comparison doesn’t seem fair. A price per use comparison may be more a curate.
I love how goofy and fun you are! I was shocked when you said the CW is supposed to last through several shampoos. With fine, slightly frizzy hair I didn't experience that. Thanks for your hard work!
I'm happy you enjoy my sense of humor/style of content 😊. I have always questioned how well it "stays" in the hair. I've had many clients who feel it does and others who don't so it's a toss up I suppose.
Wow the “most expensive “ was not really. Shocking ….loved it…great video planning strategy entertaining, funny and informative, loved the cost per value ….please do more!
I would love a price per use (or 100 uses, that might be a more informative number) where you figure out how many uses you get out of a bottle. Color Wow might do even better in the price comparison if you get more uses per ounce! Great video, confirmed that my next product buy will be Color Wow (but the small bottle!)
WOW ... and a big thank you! this was amazing! I watched every second of it! ❤Can you please set one for leave-in conditioners/Heat protectors like L'Oreal, Tresemme, etc?❤
I am SO happy you enjoyed! I plan on doing a whole series of products in this style of content. My upload before this one, I compared some popular volume products.
Yay, thank you! These videos are different from the norm in the niche that I get worried a lot of people won't like it...but I LOVE doing content this way so always means a lot when people let me know they enjoy it ❤️
So true about Color wow it;s great but once i step out to Florida heat it frizzes. The only thing that has helped my hair is Brazilian /Keratin Straightner.
I love that you stylists always say take the wetness out of your hair before styling but when you have curly hair that's fine& on top of that fizzes the longer you leave to dry the worse the end look is!!!!!
Wow, just so creative, gripping, informative, genuinely fun and useful, really enjoyed the investigative reporting/contestant approach and thank you so much and glad to discover you and thank you so much for such a through review and help for informed decisions, appreciate it, subscribed, and looking forward to more amazing content like this - just know that all that effort is genuinely noticeable and refreshing!
I use a small amount of Living Proof No Frizz Styling Cream (that stuff is STRONG) with 2 sprays of Hair Proud Glass Hair (has same active ingredient as Dream Coat but better and only $10). Blow dry, flat iron with a small amount of Garnier Fructis Flat Iron Spray. My very frizzy, extremely wavy, heavily highlighted and damaged hair is 99% frizz & curl proof for days.
Well I'm glad that these anti frizz products worked well for most ppl. I hope tried them all and the most recent product is the Dream Coat As soon as I go outside in FL where we have the disgusting humidity and heat NO product works for my hair I give up! Alot of time and $ wasted with no positive results for my wavy hair
I threw wow out because it felt like my hair had a heavy coat and you had to iron it. My stylist uses Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum. It has a nice scent and it is top notch for smoothing.
That is such a classic product! SUCH a good smell too. I was almost going to use it as a product choice. Plan on doing more product tests so you will I'm see it in the future!
I'm glad you enjoyed! Sharing it with friends and family greatly helps ❤️ It would be so great if it went viral lol. Thanks for taking the time to comment!!
Hi Summer. I appreciate all the time you put in to these videos. They are so helpful. Is there a tutorial you've done for a DIY haircut like YOURS in THIS video?
I've been using the frizz ease for 10+ years. I have thick hair and it is bleached to the gods lol but it used to be black most of my life. I've used it on a few friends and we have all loved it ❤️ I recently got a bob haircut so I'm excited to try your blowout technique since I don't really know what to do with my new short hair. Thank you for the content, very helpful ❤
I’ve always had wavy/frizzy crazy hair, medium texture and I’m a stylist. Originally from CT and just moved to Florida, I have not found a product that could control my frizz that well and I do know how to blow it out! My thoughts on color wow: I tried it when I lived in CT and it absolutely did nothing for me. I sprayed so much of it into my sectioned hair and was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the results. Whenever I used anything by John Frieda, it seemed to have an okay result, so I may try that again. I never used the Garnier product although sometimes my hair needed a heavier product in order to get the desired smoothness, so I may give that a try and do my own comparison. Fun video though!
Frizz is so tough!! I've had some comments of people loving Paul Mitchell Super Skinny that I thought about using in place of Color Wow but Color Wow is more "popular". Thinking about it now, Garnier actually reminds me of Super Skinny in a way....but like they are missing probably the ingredients that make Super Skinny what it is lol. Happy to hear a fellow stylist enjoyed the video! Have you ever gotten a Brazilian Blowout?
@@SummerBeautyc oh yes! I love super skinny! I forgot all about that one! That always worked well for me! I have had Brazilian blowouts but made my hair very flat! The second time I had it, my hair got very brittle and broke off, so I had to cut it shorter a few times to fix it and let it grow back healthy. Another product that is not so bad is Frizz Dismiss by Redken. Worth the money IMHO.
@@SummerBeautyc I have had Brazilian blowout. The first time, it took away all volume and curl and my hair was dead flat, the second time, I had extreme dryness and a LOT of breakage. Now that I’ve cut it and let it grow again, I’m shy to try that again. I have used and lived Super Skinny though and I’ve loved it! I forgot about that product. I’ve also used Redken Frizz Dismiss, it’s got heat protection in it. It looks great at first, but poofy after just a few hours.
Qi Qi Vega. I am 59 and finally found a great permanent hair straightening treatment. It comes in 3 formulas Research it I have very thick coarse wavy hair prone to frizz
I dont know what every one else thinks but I thought the red head presenter was by far the best. I ranked her as number 1 in each of he catagories for objectivity, fairness and sense of humor. In second place I picked a red head nd also third place I picked a red head. It was a very close competition and you all did very well.
Thanks for a great video. On the question of value, I personally compare cost per use, rather than cost per ounce. The directions on the Color Wow Dream Coat say to saturate the hair. Out of curiosity, I weighed my travel sample bottle before and after use. I used about half an ounce on my chin-length hair (15ml). I’ve read reviews of people with long, thick hair saying they use up an entire travel bottle (50 ml) for one application. With the Frizz Ease, 1 ml would be way too much for a single application. I personally find that the little bottle lasts quite a while.
I'm glad you enjoyed and thanks for sharing! Love hearing everyones experiences to add to the conversation, it makes it more fun! I agree it would be a product for certain hair types/thickness that wouldn't last as long.
I love your videos! You put so much effort into them. Also, I use Color WOW so I know how pricy it is. My jaw dropped watching you spray it 12 times into your hand for the feel segment. 😂 my only complaint is the bottle. It’s large and an awkward shape. I pour my product into a thinner spray bottle that sprays the same as the original bottle.
Lol I died inside spraying so much. The bottle is a bit of an obnoxious size, for in salon I bought a backbar size and it was impossible to hold! So happy you enjoy the channel ❤️
This is absolutely awesome! Amazing super fun video! I agree frizz ease does great on frizz performance, but on me it leads to build up which flakes off and is apparent on my dark hair. This doesnt happen for me with Color Wow. You do use much more product of color wow than frizz ease to get a nice result, so I think frizz ease is cheaper per use even if not per ounce. If you have used Chi product and gotten flakes, frizz ease is exactly the same.
I just bought the frizz ease leave in and now I'm so excited to try it once I'm done with my loreal ever pure 21-in-1 and dove 7in1 leave in sprays. I might just try it today instead of loreal to see a close comparison
Another very informative and entertaining video! Well done. I may give the John Frieda product a try as I probably won't use it every time I wash, and the cost will be easier to handle in the event it doesn't work out. Your hair always looks amazing, and I especially like the sleek, straight blow out.
The thing about Frizz Ease is you don’t need a lot, just one pump but with the Color Wow you’re supposed to spray literally, that’s important when considering the value imo
I’ve never used color Wow but I’ve definitely heard it’s a great product. I’ve been using for frizzies for years and I’ve always loved it. I apply mine slightly different. I applied for Z’s just a little bit in sections also combing it to make sure it’s well mixed in the hair. I also really like there’s seven days straight one. That’s a great one. I live in Washington state. There is quite a bit humidity not as much as what you guys have because I just recently went to Florida in to. I’m also able to find frizzies at some discount stores so I can get it for usually like seven something. I also have a sister it’s been a hairstylist for just over 22 years. So I definitely get some great products and I’ve learned some great tips for my hair. I use a blow, dryer brush and babyless blow dryers and titanium straightening irons. Love your video and I really might have to try the color. Wow looks good to me once again great video. recently got me this product it’s BTZ beyond the zone smooth criminal hair primer It’s in a pink spray bottle They also have other products You just spray it in. It’s very light on the hair does a great job really keeps the frizz down. My hair looks so good in the photo I did on UA-cam. That’s the product. I spray in my hair in sections also, coming it out.
This is such a fun video. You’ve done a great job with this. Color wow definitely does not last through even three shampoos. I hate the two drugstore products so I ended up getting a Brazilian blowout and now I love my hair.
I'm so happy you enjoyed!! Is the Brazilian Blowout not life changing!? Anyone with frizz, if it's in their budget, I always think it's the best option for frizz. Have you used the ionic bonding spray? I want to do another comparison video seeing how that performs when put to the test. I absolutely love it so I'm curious if it will let me down or not 😂
I have heavy coarse mixed curl patterned hair (ranges from 2b-3a) that’s lower back length. I typically wash only 2x a week since it’s so tedious but I swear by Paul Mitchell’s super skinny serum. I’ve used it for over 15 years. I have tried others (drugstore and very expensive…including everything in this video) and I keep going back to it. It holds up great down here in the south (Atlanta) and if I feel like I need extra frizz control (sometimes in August) I like the Paul Mitchell relaxing balm with it too.
You are the second Paul Mitchell fan! I was thinking about using it because it is such a solid product but due to the popularity of Color Wow and my past enjoyment of it I went with it. But so happy to hear more love for Super Skinny and I LOVE The smell!
I moved to Florida a few months ago from Long Island NY. I’ve always been used to humidity in the summer but now my frizzy crazy hair is so much worse that I mostly leave it up. This was so helpful. I use color wow and like it but my hair is never frizz free. I am going to try the Frizz ease. I have the garnier but never used it pre blow dry. I wish I could do your haircut but having frizzy coarse hair it won’t work for me! And I have yet to find someone here that can give me an even haircut! Thanks for a great video!
Florida humidity is like no other lol. Color Wow isn't "technically" supposed to be used with other products but I have mixed it with others plenty of times. I think I'm going to text it again on the same mannequin to see if it performs better.
I tried the Garnier anti frizz because even the color wow doesnt withstand the Texas morning humidity.. and I was impressed. I have to pair the color wow with other products so it wont leave my hair dry… No product that Ive tried can beat the Texas humidity
If these products work in South Florida I'll be surprised. Years ago,I'm tried the John Frieda for frizz but I don't think it was called a serum back then, so it must have been reformulated. It did not work at all on frizz.
The Garnier fructis crap weighed my hair down so bad. Came here trying to find something for my wavy fizzy hair that won't weigh it down, look greasy or crunchy like I just came out of the '90s! 😂
Be great if these products offered sample product for one use priced at that so we could sample vs letting it sit to point of throwing in out.All hair is different based on person’s chemistry
Packaging and shipping are the most costly part when it comes to products. I think most companies just can't afford to do sample sizes unfortunately. Color Wow does has a travel size option that's smaller.
I’ve tried WOW Dream Coat twice but I don’t like the way the coating feels. It makes my hair feel less soft. I’ll keep using it until empty but I think I’ll try the John Frieda next time
I've been using the same hair straightener for the past 12 years and i want treat myself to a new one during black Friday! do you have any recommendations on which one I should get ? :) from affordable to high end 🙏
I'm of going to do a community post about tool suggestions for Black Friday! I am still working on my list actually! The one I used in this video, I believe is linked.
I've only ever tried the Color Wow Dreamcoat and I really like it. I'm in Arizona, though, so frizz isn't really a problem since we barely have any humidity. 😂
@@SummerBeautyc I live in Phoenix. FYI, you can drive 4 hrs south (from Phoenix) to Mexico and go to the beach there! Its called Puerto Penasco - aka Arizona's beach or Rocky Point! Its awesome and a great weekend getaway! Most people don't realize that 2/3's of AZ is high country with pine trees, and lots of green with hunting and fishing. In fact, just last week Flagstaff (2 hrs north of Phoenix) received 8" of snow.
Color Wow does have a version for leaving the hair naturally curly but I don't have faith it would work. Controlling frizz without any heat really is a challenge. The Brazilian Blowout smoothing service really is great but the stylist HAS to do the service a certain way(as far as heat and passes used with the iron) to maintain natural curls. It can be done but I have seen stylists refuse to learn or follow suit when needed.
I have fine hair and once it is dried tends to appear dry on the ends and individual hairs kinda separate and kinda stick up.. My hair stylist says my hair is not damaged or dry and my hair is very fine but I have a lot of it. I am 64 so it may be a hormone issue too.? I do not use a heat protectant. Could that alone eliminate this issue? IWould these products work or do I really just need to use a heat protectant to get my hair smooth. I've tried Amika smoothing shampoo and conditioner, Moroccan oil frizz control shampoo and conditioner.. Nothing works. I've also applied Moroccan oil pump oil on my ends. I've used Olaplex No 6 on my hair which actually is not bad put the ends of my hair kinda separate and some tend to stick out like my hair is frizzy. If I don't put a serum like AMIKA smoothing serum it just looks like it is sticking out. This also tends to weigh my hair down.... I do not know what to do. I do have wave in my natural hair and it looks kind of like a bunch of wavy crazy wild looking hair. Could my issue exist because I use a round brush and regular hair dryer instead of a round brush dryer? My hair looks thinker if I do not dry it but it also looks out of control. It hasn't always been like this. I do color my hair so it might be the hidden gray hair that is colored causing the issue which might explain why it only happened within the last 5 years. I actually and not totally gray and still only get a weave every 10 weeks.. crazy as that sounds. I do see some graying but it is not all over... I know the texture of gray hair might be different than my hair in my younger days but I do not know what to do. My hair dresser blows out my hair and it is smooth.. and she only uses amika heat protectant/detangler.. It always looks fine. I just can not achieve that same look at home. Any advice?
I have thick, frizzy, kind of coarse hair. I have tried so many smoothing products. Color wow is my least favorite. Leaves such a feeling of buildup, even when my stylist uses it. I now ask him to not use it anymore. Garner fructis has always been better for me
Don't forget Color Wow is not used after every shampoo. That saves a lot of money right there. I'm pretty sure you would use Frizz Ease after every shampoo.
Cute video! Glad you included the price per ounce in the equation! As an aside, since Color Wow is only used every three or for shampoos, that makes it even less expensive.
I purshased the color wow because of the hype and hated it so much. Too much product feel and my hair was frizzier than ever, total waste of money 😖 I did use it over my Pureology Color Fanatic, maybe I shouldn’t combine it with other products?
Bummer, sorry to hear. They recommended not using it with other styling products but I don't think leave in works against it. I have used color wow with other products and have never experienced it not making the product work. Or I guess I should say work worse .

It comes in 3 formulas
Research it
I have very thick coarse wavy hair prone to frizz
Wow.. Outstanding presentation 👌🏻❤️Thank you for your effort☺️
Thanks a lot 😊
I loved this video. so much fun to watch. so thorough with ranking and review. ❤
Innovation, thanks for the ironing tips
I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Love love love colorwow. Have used for years!
Glad to hear!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it ❤️❤️. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the products!
I just bought the frizz ease leave in and now I'm so excited to try it once I'm done with my loreal ever pure 21-in-1 and dove 7in1 leave in sprays. I might just try it today instead of loreal to see a close comparison
Let me know how you like it!
@@SummerBeautyc I will
Another very informative and entertaining video! Well done. I may give the John Frieda product a try as I probably won't use it every time I wash, and the cost will be easier to handle in the event it doesn't work out. Your hair always looks amazing, and I especially like the sleek, straight blow out.
It's a solid choice for sure! I'm so glad you enjoy the video!!!
Editing on point 👏🏽
Thank you 🙌
This is such a fun video.
I absolutely love it so I'm curious if it will let me down or not 😂
@@SummerBeautyc no I haven’t tried the ionic bonding spray, I’ll look for it.
I use CW dream coat as well as it’s a 10 keratin and it smooths my frizzy hair for days! I live in Houston!
I do feel Color Wow needs to be mixed(even though it says not to) to work well.
@@SummerBeautyc I think it gets overlooked because it's been on the market so long and pretty basic. But sometimes the OGs are OGs for a reason 😆
@@SummerBeautyc it def is brutal lol. Love your videos!
Also thanks for all the blow drying tips 👏👏👏 love your videos!
Always happy to hear from you!
Absolutely brilliant video, subbed 😊😊😊
Welcome to the fam!!
I tried the Garnier anti frizz because even the color wow doesnt withstand the Texas morning humidity.. and I was impressed. I have to pair the color wow with other products so it wont leave my hair dry… No product that Ive tried can beat the Texas humidity
I have always technically mixed at least one other product with color wow, even tho it says not to. I think frizz often needs more than one product.
The John Frieda would be nice. As I said in the video, I wasn't impressed with Garnier.
I enjoyed this video so much 👏👏👏subscribed !
Yay! Thank you!
I’ll keep using it until empty but I think I’ll try the John Frieda next time
The John Frieda did make the hair feel so lovely
Blow dryer where did you get the blow dryer? Where did you get it?
@@sherrymiller8167 it's linked in the description and pinned comment. It's from the brand Sutra
This is so fun!
I've only ever tried the Color Wow Dreamcoat and I really like it. I'm in Arizona, though, so frizz isn't really a problem since we barely have any humidity. 😂
I love Arizona! If they had a beach I'd move there in a heartbeat! The low humidity is SO nice!
@@SummerBeautyc You'll have to do with a pool if you come here. 😂 But yes, I love the low humidity - something I grew up with and don't miss!
Your adorable. So smart and fun. I love your knowledge and professional presentation!👏💯
Means so much 🥹. These videos are so fun for me to make so always so happy when people enjoy them ❤️
Can you share the blow dry brush used in this video? Thank you in advance!
It's linked in the description with a discount code as well! It's the Sutra Ibob
I don't blow dry my wavy hair, but I was interested in these products, especially Color Wow. Do you have suggestions for air dry frizz control?
Color Wow does have a version for leaving the hair naturally curly but I don't have faith it would work. Controlling frizz without any heat really is a challenge. The Brazilian Blowout smoothing service really is great but the stylist HAS to do the service a certain way(as far as heat and passes used with the iron) to maintain natural curls. It can be done but I have seen stylists refuse to learn or follow suit when needed.
Pre pooing with oils helps. Sometimes
@@SummerBeautyc Thank you.
Very creative video. I commend your work😊
I have fine hair and once it is dried tends to appear dry on the ends and individual hairs kinda separate and kinda stick up.. Any advice?
I have the john frieda one, and I dont use any heat on it, am I wrong ? Do anti frizz products need heat to work ? on the packagin dosent metion this.
I have thick, frizzy, kind of coarse hair. I have tried so many smoothing products. Color wow is my least favorite. Leaves such a feeling of buildup, even when my stylist uses it. I now ask him to not use it anymore. Garner fructis has always been better for me
Thanks for sharing! It's always so interesting how products vary to each persons hair type, you know?
Excellent video!!!!
So happy you enjoyed 😊😊
Is it ok if i add a leave-in conditioner? If so, would i add the frizz product first?
Leave in conditioner should be applied first, prior to brushing wet hair! It helps "prep" the hair 🙂
Well Done Perfect!
Thank you!
Don't forget Color Wow is not used after every shampoo. That saves a lot of money right there. I'm pretty sure you would use Frizz Ease after every shampoo.
Yes, I mention that it lasts through some shampoos! The Frizz Ease is by far the most expensive, I was shocked at the price per ounce!
Love them all. What’s the hair color on these mannequins.?
I highlight them all so there's dimension lol. I have another channel that I film cutting tutorials on so the dimension helps show the cut better!
@ May I ask about the other channel please🫠.? Your very pretty 😍 by the way. Love your videos.
My go to is Frizz Ease Secret Weapon styling lotion. It is excellent!
I will have to add it to my list!
Wow. Thanks.
What blow out brush is that?
It's from the brand Sutra. It's linked in description!
Cute video! Glad you included the price per ounce in the equation! As an aside, since Color Wow is only used every three or for shampoos, that makes it even less expensive.
I'm glad you enjoyed!
Hey I like the one in the I like em all
Thank you!
@@SummerBeautyc thank u I love ur videos
Florida is where anti frizz hair products go to die. 😂
Lolol 😂
😄So true!
Absolutely! I gave up and get a Keratin straightening treatment twice a year. I lost my curls but the trade off is worth it.
Does wow protect from heat
It does!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
For me color wow dream coat doesnt do nothing :/
WTD My hair comes out ok but later it curls How to keep the curls out
Can you do on on 10 and one products like not your mothers and it’s a 10
Wow is too much work and doesn’t last on my thin frizzy hair. John Frieda has been my go to choice for years. Garnia is my next best.
Thanks for sharing!!
🖤🖤🖤🖤
None of them work on my hair. Infact some make it significantly worse.
Thanks for adding to the conversation.
My hair hates the Color WOW…. It looks dry and damaged after using it.
Thank you for sharing. Sucks to hear that though, but can be helpful to others. Have you tried the other two products ever?
