Still no luck. We got a new modem and router. I couldn’t get the chime connected to the new WiFi with no luck. I’ve tried both things you showed in the video. When I plug it into the wall a purple light flashes once. The. It shuts off. Holding the reset button won’t turn the green blinking light. I need some help please 🙏
I have a Chime Pro (2nd Gen) I've tried to factory reset by unplugging and by button on the side. When I reconnect it it tries to update the firmware which takes forever, the says complete but the Chime Pro still says not connecting and a green light flashing. I've done this right next to the router too.
I don't have the pro but I tried setting this up, went through the process but it didn't chime when I rang the doorbell. I think I selected the wrong item in the list (couldn't get QR code to scan (why is is so dang small?) Anyway, it is steady green. I tried reset but when I plug it in, it flashes white for a second then goes back to steady green.
Hey, my chime is on a solid green light, can not get it to flash green. I think we had a power cut , doorbell working. I tried the 15 second reset, I never get the white light, solid green light goes off then after a few minutes a solid green light just comes back. Ive removed the device from the app, still can not get it to flash!!! Any ideas apart from get a hammer? 🔨
When I try to do factory reset I don’t see the white light, it goes to a flashing green. Then, when I move forward with connecting to the ring app it says it’s not able to connect and check my WiFi settings. I have tried resetting my phone, WiFi and unplugging it. I don’t think it’s my wifi since I just installed a ring flood light and connected it with no issues. HELP!
You did everything I would suggest the only thing I might check is when you are pressing down the button do you here a click. I have done it before and accidentally let off when I was pressing down. That is the only I can think of if not that maybe bad device.
Mine i feel is just defective. Like it overheats and has weak signal to my modem now. And reason i say this, is because i have chime pro's that are farther from my modem and they have better signal. So i just feel i need to buy a new one. And resetting and unplugging does help it work and get better signal, but only for an hour or two and then because i feel its overheating, that it works but with weak signal. ✌️
Mine is stuck on green and blue flashing light which has caused my cameras to not connect. Now because of busy schedule it's been that way for a week. Still flashing green and blue alternating. I tried this and still goes back to the alternating green blue. I get p1-80. Should I try anything else?
Very helpful, thanks for the video

Is this supposed to work on the second generation PRO?
Yes it should work with it!
No problemo ... will do. I bought a new one too from Walmart but I haven't opened it yet ... waiting to hear from RING.
Gotcha thanks for the comment!

hmm I have not ran into that yet hopefully some else in the comments can help here.
Your video doesn't show it working. I tried it and mine is also still flashing green just like in your video.
Hold the Button for 20-30s - it will factory reset the chime and u will be able to connect it again
Same issue. I've held that button down for up to 10 mins and it won't flash. Stays solid green
@@tstimac5 same issue here..

Thank for send this open. Let's see if the community can help here.
Hold the Button for 20-30s and you should be able to connect it again (5s which the app says will not reset it!)
@@pittepatderpirat doesn't work. Light stays solid green. This only happened after required firmware update. I'm sending mine back. It is bricked. Won't reset, won't connect. Light just stays green. I've tried everything.

Hammer is always an option sadly might be dysfunctional product that may need to be replaced

I can’t hear my chime in the room, I tried reset as well after solid green light blue light is flashing now, I don’t know if this is normal
It is not I might check the power source but reset should be able to fix it

Honestly if this not working there might be something wrong with device and you may need to replace it
I'm having the same problem with a chime pro 2. I am currently trying everything, including removing the device and nothing has worked.

Welcome 😊 Thanks for comment!
Mine has been fine but now i have no lights or anything?
Do you think the battery died?
@@TheSmartHomeHelper no idea, didnt think they had a battery
Wasn't life just easier (and simpler) when we had standard doorbells, or even brass knockers!
Agree!!!
