    I have to correct you. Viking is not a race but an occupation. The frase: "Lets go viking" refer to the trips they took either to plunder, conqer or trade.

    • @andrewgrillet7851
      @andrewgrillet7851 Місяць тому +1

      Indeed - "Viking" is related to the English word "Walking" - and the Latin word "Via" meaning "route" or "road".

      @@Marianne-k4udet er ikke helt korrekt. Ordet viking optræder i England som i skreven form, og er et skældsord. Men det er først efter den periode der er kendt som vikingetiden. Datidens folk der oplevede angreb på kaldte os det vi hedder danerne. Og det er også gældende for andre folk der har levet på vores land, jyder, anglere og ikke mindst cimbrene.

    Not so surprising and not so different from the rest of Europe. Like many European nations their genetics were influenced by migratory waves of Early European Farmers from Anatolia (modern day Turkey) and Western Steppe Herders (Yamnaya pastoralists) from the region around the Black Sea. These genes are present in varying amounts in the vast majority of people of European descent. Equally many Europeans have genetic influences from Celtic and Germanic tribes, so this does nothing to really differentiate Danish genetics from that of other Western Europeans.

    Instead of listening to AI stories, you should familiarize yourself with Eske Willerslev's studies. He is a Danish DNA researcher (trained biologist) and professor at Copenhagen University's Center for Geogenetics. And he has made research on the Danes' genes.

A load of the worst collections EVER of bad AI-generated pictures and other pictures COMPLETELY unrelated to Danish culture. This channel is disgustingly bad and untrustworthy! The narration is interesting and not untrue, but the illustrations are the worst I have ever seen!

      @Zling0 26 днів тому

      Quite, the Yamnans migrated here towards the end of Roman iron age. Ca. 6th-7th century. Possibly, the former population would have been extinct following the events in 536. The new population called it fimbulvinter. "When it has not been summer for three years", according to the Icelandic sagas. "Then follows Ragnarok" The end of the world in a giant battle between gods and trolls, leaving only humans (the Yamnans) alive. Tolkien most likely used that myth as inspiration for the plot of LOTR.

    danes if you known their politics etc, are feeling overwhelmingly very danish and not really else regardless of people come from where ever once origins of their ancestors-now let i explaining why it possible is for example -8000 years ago anatolian farmers have influenced my european ancestors in genetics but still i do not relate myself with minor-asian,s turks because 8000 yaers is atleast to me a very long time ago,and then the yamnayans or something close of that from eastern-europe 5000 years ago influenced my euro-genes but still i feel not truly related to russians\ucranians with a time-gap of 5 millennia when it separated f5rom that place of origin.then my paleolithic european ancestors come from africa 70.000 years ago migrated to the middle-east [but i feel not quite a african nor a middle-easterner[ with a time-gap of 70 to 40.000 years what seperated me from those people back then in those places]and 20 millenia later orso firstly from there to europe and mingled a little bit with neanderthals but feel myself not a neanderthal at all,atleast not really.but i feel meself a european for sure and probably a homo-sapien whatever that exactly means.genetics alone don,t determine how much people really feeling related to eachother and that its a difference with how people experiencing feelings of relatedness versus genetic relations because i maybe feel more at some level related with a japanese or mongolian perhaps then with a circassian even the genetic tells me i,m more related with lets say a circassian then with a japanese and that its not purely culturally but something about them i feel more perhaps comfortable then for instance a circassian or a albanian for reasons i my not say on this ....so i do not say it nor discussed it- but as a west-european i feel most accourse related with familiar germans danes dutch belgians and luxemburgish people etc, in geographic cultures identity\worldviews historic and linguistic-ties etc,.so i,m a genetic mixed-up euro-person but it make me not feeling i,m partly turkish or partly russian or whatever!genes are interesting but itself alone it don,t resolve worldproblems or bringing worldpeace and unity within humanity!i hope my honesty about this would appreciated if not so be it!

    Some love to bully impure Norse pirates for not being pure not knowing that the correct term for viking is not a pure blooded invader but a misunderstood homeless asylum seeker who was cared for by many Gaelic from the United kingdom and France or Spain after losing many sacred lands for helping Widukind the wolf of Saxony, Widukind the wolf of Saxony after losing the Saxon wars requested the help of the vikings resulting in the Viking age, Widukind eventually made peace with the French allied defenders of the Slavic and Dutch empires that suffered from the Saxon wars while forgetting to tell the Vikings that peace was made after resolving a few misunderstandings with the French king Charles the great who Widukind had a child to the daughter of, now days some hide these historic facts to cause conflict with division to violate the peace that was made after resolving a few misunderstandings to end friendly fire accidents. In indigenous French sources of France the United Slavic and Dutch and French allies of Charles the great did not really kill all Saxon's and they also according to coordinates did not really destroy the sacred Irminsul or Jormun poll as a response to what the Saxon wars did to their own sacred sites of the Slavic and Dutch empires that became defended by the French.
