It’s a real pain when people hack into 12v wiring and cut and shut it, it was a labour of love this one but you did well and it must be satisfying to have it done and useable
Cheers mate. Nah, the carby models have an external pump in the engine bay. The tank only has a simple sender unit to pick up the fuel and send signal to the gauge.
Great video mate, how many rusted bolts did you snap lel Just wondering if you have had any dramas with the pollak valve, their website says there rated to 65 psi but most efi pumps are higher Cheers
Thanks mate! Nah, surprisingly no snapped bolts. But I did swap out a few that look suss. Yer I haven’t had any issues with it so far. Been on a few decent runs, haven’t been able to fault it yet. But I wouldn’t know what else to use instead.
I just used the patrol repair manual. There are a few diagrams in there, but unfortunately my loom was a bit cut n shut from past owner so I had to some testing along the way. Place I got the valve from was from here going off memory. www.scintex.com.au/products/pollak-fuel-valve-switch?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5Ky1BhAgEiwA5jGujrUayBOq2aRjCZvKW-_2E8_O5aQH4tAsA5BuXDDowihkZsbtR8s8ZxoCMmMQAvD_BwE

Nice vid mate 👌
Do the old 1988 carby tb42s have an electric pump sending fuel from the tank also?
