The SNE541 is definitely not plastic. It's brushed metal. We believe it is stainless steel, but many bezel inserts are made from aluminum, so it could be that. Seiko does not do a great job of specifying details like this. That's why we tried to get as close to the bezel as possible, to show the circular brushed finish in the metal. The bezel insert on this model really makes the watch. It truly completes the look, and gives it the edge that a special "Street Series" edition deserves. Also check out the SNE543 to see a contrast between the two bezels.
