Years later, 4am. Jack Dee lies awake on his case-less pillow. A single tear rolls down his cheek as he remembers what he could have won.
Its a magical moment when Jack Dee smiles
It almost looks painful for him, bless his socks
Yeah even he couldn't help laughing 🤣
its just like 2 icesheets cracking at the north pole..
An angel got it's wings
1:09 the hammond organ style of the music kills him straight away!
one of the greatest moments in the history of the television
Love it when the grumpy captain's facade just completely falls away. Even Mark Lamarr, Will Self and Jack Dee all proved powerless against the Vic and Bob onslaught sooner or later.
I love how such a powerful piece of music is played on a silly electric organ lol, it sounds so funny!
Genius choice
i wholeheartedly forgot how much I loved this show. God Bless Vic & Bob, and God Bless George Dawes
Nuts. Sometimes you just need a couple minutes of unique shooting stars madness to start the day haha :)
love seeing jack laugh
Probably one of the funniest things ever
Absolutely love this clip. Bob's face in the background is magic - he's having the time of his life right there :) :)
Once upon a time, I would've thought it impossible for Jack Dee to smile. Seeing it finally happen made this all the more hillarious.
I'm glad they brought back Shooting Stars, and Jack as Team A captain. He really does bring such quality to the show. As have Mark Lammar, Will Self, Urika and of course, Johnny Vegas.
i remember when i first saw this, my jaw ached for a few hours after laughing so much!
when the music starts to play. . .gets me everytime haha!
1.11 is my favourite face EVER.
Superb after all these years I’m still pissing myself
1:21 you can see from Jack's reaction that his breath must have stank so bad lol. Vic and Bob probably made sure his breath stank
garlic and raw onions
Sardines
@TheMetalMouse Dog dirt
The BBC somehow saw fit to cancel this genius show :(
I wonder what they replaced it with.
probably need the money for sequins and man tans on stricktly z listers dance maybe?
Nah, they just cancelled it to fund more paedophilia.
@@rossshepherd9836 Ross knows because it's his kids ass that he sold to them.
You've said that with much confidence, and in a way where you're telling me as oppose to implying it. You hiding something, pal?
Whenever I wish to introduce a friend to the daft majesty that is Shooting Stars, I show them this clip.
The FULL force of his voice!
This is my favourite tv moment EVER...it actually makes me cry. I have just got tickets to watch the new series being fimed. Boyo!!! Amazing. You can see Vic laughing to himself when Bob is describing what is going to happen...Genius!!
A few other commenters are wondering if Jack is faking that grimace. Here's the thing. The audio track post-processing does _not_ do justice to how friggin' _loud_ opera can be. I once attended an opera rehearsal, and found myself ~30 metres from a seriously volcanic opera-dude. He made the inside of my head rattle. He made my vision go fuzzy. He made my ears ring. Opera singers shattering wine glasses with song isn't a fake movie stunt. They can actually do that.
You do know that he's grimacing because they gave the opera singer cloves of garlic to eat just before filming this?
Everyone should watch one episode of Shooting Stars each day, the world would be a happier place
Hahahaha Jack Had no chance lol, Vic n Bob are Total masters!
When a character like Jack Dee has so little idea what's going on that he cracks up in confused mirth, that's a special and outrageously funny moment. I was dead.
Paul Potts is the love child of these two.
Oh man, Vic and Bob are great, my sense of humour to a T!! Jack Dee's face when the song starts is fantastic!
when i saw this broadcast, i didn't stop laughing for about 3 days, it still gets me now.
Jack Dee looks like a cheeky schoolboy when he smirks at the beginning 😂
Jack's smile xx ☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️💓
Lets not forget the opera singer, Mr. Allan Hamburgers
It’s been years I’m crying 😂😂😂
That is just wonderful.
best show ever.
One of the funniest clips ever 😂
Jack Dee is legend
When the electric organ music started that made me laugh out loud .
What a ridiculous game- I loved it!
Please bring back Shooting Stars!
I remember watching this at night and nearly wetting myself. i love this show and jack deee :) So funny
You could win this lovely....pillowcase!!😂😂
my sides are killing me from laughing at this so much! xxx
a television first Jack Dee Smiles!!!
Brilliant
amazing
Jack dee of all people...
I almost died with laughter when I saw this. I'm glad they've kept Jack on as Team A's captain for the new series (about time bbc gave them another series imo).
I love the way Jack Dee sits during the show like what the hell am i doing here, it adds to the humour, but i als love it when he smiles :)
loved this when I saw it first time around.
it should have been a Finch though, so it would be a finch-ometer
What a technical tour de force by the props dept!
I nearly shat a kidney when this was first broadcast. My ex-wife said she couldn't see why it was funny. I should have seen the signs.
Back in Autumn! YAY!
The great Alan Hamburgers
This was too funny
It's a shame you missed out one of the best bits. When Vic says the singer is called Alan....Hamburgers.
The show was great, more Shooting Stars in 2009 !!!
1:44 lmfao Alans face XD
hahahaha, SO GLAD THE BBC BROUGHT THIS BACK
Best comedy game show of all time
I laughed so hard my belly aches
its probably wrong to think, but i thought of thier song "tiny eyes" when looking at the opera singer and it made me smile even more :')
I'm laughing my head off before it starts
TOMORROW BBC 2 AT 10!!!! omg im so excited!!!!
Classic
Tom Scott should have provided some context for this link
this was sooooooooooo funny when i saw this on tv brillant
lmao
Oh my god i remember this it was so funny !! :L
what a situation
This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
'IT'S A DEAD BLUE TIT!'
Great show. Nothing on tv nowadays to even touch this.
A FLINCHOMETER! Hahaha
Jacks face at 1:22 hahahahahaha!
I got cornered by a drunk opera singer in a pub and he sang full in my face, believe me, it's bloody loud
OMFG sounds horrifying!
did you suck him off instantly
please bring the show back
quite a towel indeed haha
with his face like a buljjon cube in cold water
I never noticed the shitty organ haaahahahaha
That's Bernard Cribbins big brother, that is.
You can tell from Vic and bob’s faces this turned out exactly how they thought it would be….and more.
exactly what i was thinkin haha =]
😂 His face
Oh god. My science teacher showed us this episode when it first showed...it's still hilarious. The fact that it is acrually A DEAD BLUE TIT cracks me up xD
come on channel 5...bring it back....I looked forward to this every week. ..Please. ....
The garlic/aniseed chicken at lunch swung it for him.
his face at 1:25 lol lmfao
the look on his face: "Dude, you need a breath mint."
Now this is funny, remember when people were allowed to be close.
And they'd stand so close that they would inevitably ask you, is that Pearson's brass hand oil you use?
This is up there with the best shooting stars moments - when the music kicks in, fuckin' classic!
I remember watching this on original transmission. This was the moment I knew Shooting Stars was well and truly back, even before the BBC announced it officially!
Such a simple idea and yet so funny!
"Mr. Alan...Hamburgers!"
its a flinch-o-meter
ITS A DEAD BLUETIT!!!
