Just got a copy of "The Solo Gamemaster's Guide." It's a very cool book. The emphasis on narrative over crunching numbers and just rolling dice is something that I had to learn the hard way by boring myself out of my first few solo adventures. Really enjoy your channel and the vibe. Cheers!

Honestly with how 'hectic' to put it politely things were this year for not only the ttrpg space but also in general, your videos are something i can happily watch knowing well its on stuff you've played/found interesting/have food for thought for other folks whether it be for solo rpgs, a combination of games that somehow work in a way you wanted to or a bit of everything. And while I may have my preferences I can safely say I always feel welcomed to check what you were doing that was actually interesting instead of following trends or controversies. I even got basic fantasy in physical knowing safely well its an osr system i can get behind alongside dnd 5e (which i got the dmg for as well) the next time i want to play a solo rpg. I hope you have a wonderful christmas and happy new year.

I applaud the restrain to not use the algorithm friendly "top 10 games" phrase and i agree on the reasons why they are so often stupid. I could not rank my top 10 foods. One day its something heavy with meat and potatoes, the other something lighter. Same with games and basically anything. But yeah...sometimes top 10s can be fun too.
Haha! If I did anything on UA-cam for the algorithm, I wouldn’t start a 2023 retrospective with a game from 1980. My viewers know what they are getting with me, which just comes from my heart, not clickbait for views. Thanks for being one of those special viewers and commenting.

Seeing that you liked Citadel of Blood (I do too), you might like Voyage of the B.S.M. Pandora by SPI. I want to use it as the canvas for an exploration sci-fi solo RPG story.

@@marccaron6008Yes I’m aware of that as well and on the fence about buying in. Part of me wants to keep the experience just of the original for all its flaws and glory & part of me wants to experience the revised version. I’m waiting for more details on the progress to figure it out.
