Except IF they decide to follow PLA storyline. Then the World Tourney would probably replace the Battle Subway
I just hope he regains his memories and remembers everything! I'm not at all wanting another Looker situation, where he appears in ORAS without any memories. I guess Anabel counts for this type of situation as well. :/
@@ender691 There’s an unresolved plot line in the recent Pokémon games in which characters are displaced in space time and can no longer remember who they are or where they came from. Examples of this are Looker who debuts in Platinum having amnesia in the ORAS postgame, Anabel from Emerald appearing in Sun and Moon under the same circumstances, Mohn (Lusamine’s husband) in Sun and Moon, and now Ingo from Black and White being sent back in time and appearing to have forgotten his memories in Legends Arceus. Why this happens is still unknown but it’s speculated to be related to ultra wormholes. I hope this helped! :)
Yeah Looker did show up in Sun/Moon forgetting everything but I think he started to re gain memories? He also showed up in X and Y as a post game mission as well
@@thelostmessenger it’s debated. some people think he gained his memory back and some people, me included, think that Sun and Moon take place in a different universe so this Looker did not have amnesia. the reason a lot of people believe the latter is that Looker never references losing his memories despite the exact same thing happening to Anabel. unless he has a reason to keep it secret?
It’s clever in a way since Ingo’s Japanese name “Nobori” can be “Nobori-Sen” or “Ongoing Train”, but can also be interpreted as “Yama-Nobori” which means “Mountain Climbing”
I think Ingo might’ve been sent here to also maybe stop Volo or something, but Arceus failed, because Ingo never fully recovered his memories and doesn’t know what to do. We could also say that it was the work of an ultra wormhole, like in Looker and Anabel’s case, it could be, but ultra wormholes only send you to an alternate dimension/universe, not through time, only Dialga and Celebi could do that, so it’s either that. I’m just sad that him and Emmet aren’t together anymore, maybe Emmet was also sent back through time? Just not in the same place as Ingo, hopefully we’ll get answers, maybe in the DLC, or in Pokemon Legends Kyurem, if we ever get one.
@@kelvinsantiago7061 Yeah, you could say that, but the people there would be different, with different personalities and stuff. This Ingo had the same personality and love for Pokémon as the Ingo in Black and White. But your argument could also be correct; it would just be unlikely.
this is just depressing, but honestly so amusing. Keep writing stories/fanfics about Ingo’s disappearance and Emmet trying to find him. Something that I don’t think I’ve ever read/seen before would be Emmet getting help from Colress to get Ingo back (Colress could make a machine to go into the past or something idk). This is such a fun concept.
Oh, heck. Imagine Emmet, this Champion level trainer, being the guy the previous protagonist has to fight now, only to be thrashed by someone not only experienced at fighting at this level, but absolutely willing to use every tiny bit of detail to crush you. Not even caring about pokemon battle format, either. Emmet unknowingly uses the Legends style and throws multiple pokemon out at once to jump the protag, forcing a loss so he can get the machine running.
In the german version he even said its like the Hidden Machine 'Kraxler' (dont know the english name, but its the HM to climb cliffs up and down) Such interesting depth to his character.
That’s all sad in Ingo’s situation, but that little smile he gives you, when you win a battle against him… 🥺 Such a good character. I wish, that GF would continue his story.
Kinda wish they had kept Ingo's original theme but just remade it in the style of Legends Arceus. Also, since this time period is possibly similar to the 1860-1870s, who knows, DLC or perhaps another Legends game will see Ingo take command of a period era locomotive and the player gradually helping to restore his memories until, finally, he can return back to his own time.
@@Ty-yt3lj Lol, maybe. XD Of course, during this period of time there were various railroads around the world. Since Black and White was based on France, one of the most interesting and successful engines was the unusually designed "du Bousquet" steam engine which was, if the article is right, used for passenger services along the inner and outer circle lines in Paris.
@@launcesmechanist9578 that’s X & Y. Unova is based on New York, and all American locomotives of the day would’ve been the classic 4-4-0, with a wooden cab, cow catcher and 4 powered, reasonably sized wheels. Of course 2-6-0’s, 0-4-4bt’s and even some weirder locomotives did exist
@@Ty-yt3lj Yeah, you're right. It's been a while though since I've had a DS so I'm a little rusty with the locations. I think one of the weirdest I found was a 4-4-4-4 configuration around the turn of the century.
I have a theory: Whereas the player was sent back in time, Ingo was sent in from another dimension, again coinciding with the whole "Time and Space" theme.
(I'm sorry if you already know this) Pokemon has mentioned the multiverse theory in main games (Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire post game) but Ingo himself is in another main game! He and his twin brother run the Battle Subway in the Gen 5 Unova games!

Here's my fanfic. Looker, and Hilbert arrives to Hisue through a wormhole; to bring those two, Lucas, and Ingo back their timeline; back home. Side Tangents would be forming the original dragon back together with the four forces of nature, since it's not known if the turtle is still around or not; Kris(or a descendant of either Ethan) being around, with the three original dog, and later their Resurrection.
Let me make you all very sad with a random thought. Ingo’s ghost serving as a fight in the present, Emmett around for it(probably trying to find what happened to him and Ingo haunting the train). Whether Emmett fight with you, with Ingo, or can’t get himself to battle him is up to debate I guess. But after the fight, Ingo gets his memories back fully and he and Emmett get a proper goodbye before Ingo disappears
So.. In order to bring Unova back, you have to bring it along with the sad story it had? Not only that, you also have to make a new sad story to top it all off? You know what, I don't wanna see any more Unova references ever if that's the case-
If this is taking place in the Era for revolution of Steam Power, is it theoretical that Ingo was the one who made the trains possible during this time and eventually how trains are in the present day where he would eventually either get back to his time or was stuck? Idk, just hypothetical

Everyone’s talking about how sad it is that Emmett is missing Ingo, but if Arceus sends him back he can just be sent back to the moment he was taken away. He’ll be aged a bit but no time will have passed for Emmett or anyone else
I can’t be the only one who was a little disappointed that he doesn’t have the subway boss theme from Black and White play when you fight him. The song would sound nothing like anything else in the game, but I think it would’ve been really fitting for a guy that otherwise wouldn’t belong in a game like this.

The 2nd one, when I actually learned Ingo got yeeted to the past I jokingly told my friend what if it wasnt Arceus who took him back in time but the anomalies with Celebi's transportating the Travelers of Sky protagonist and grovyle. I mean because of that error the mc became a pokemon. The partner also managed to go in whatever time in the future and back. And who knows since its Celebi, maybe her power mightve done something.
I think adding Ingo to the game was beyond refreshing. And what they have done to his character is ultra dark and sad in reality. Torn away with no memory of your very very significant past. And Emmet man… I know he sick trying to find him omg 🥺😭😭😭
if they dont explain what happened to emmet nor even reunite them im gonna fight gamefreak
"Your talent has brought you to the destination called Victory" MY FUCKING GOD IM CRYING
i just cant express enough how sad is watching him remembering so few things, like his lines, poses and even hidden moves that is introduced in gen 2 if i remember well, like man (my bad for the error)
@@1unartic thats true i confused it with hidden abilities for some reason, gonna fix that, thanks

Actually that's how he looks he was more serious while his brother was more playful.
@@foxalive1772 well he's overall looks the same except the clothes torned... in some shoot he looks dead, idk ? Maybe the color / saturation ??
And the fact he has a goatee now
He also appears to be slouching.
I'd say this was our first 'trainer' battle as the others where well welders if it makes sense. Then volo...
Sweet mother of God...
This really is why they are called Pokemon Trainers....... Isn't it?
Yep, the term of Pokémon Trainer was apparently brought to what becomes Sinnoh by a time-displaced Ingo.
@@gengarzilla1685 it shows really well since ingo is the only one we see other than Volo to have a team
If you think about it even those random NPCs in the routes are more trainers than almost the entierity of Hisui, as they know stuff like type advantage, evolution and of course catching methods
If they ever do Unova remakes, I really hope they include some reference to Ingo’s involvement in Legends Arceus somehow.
Imagine going into the Subway and only Emmet is there and there are some "missing" posters of Ingo... that would be sad
@@kawaiiemolga noooo 😭 don’t break my heart with that image!
Imagine if the Battle Subway is closed because Emmet left Unova to look for Ingo.
@@gengarzilla1685 You know with the recent track record they have of removing Battle frontier areas in the post game of remakes, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the excuse they would use to not include the battle subway
@@joshualee4720 I mean, they do include battle facilities, they just don't include the extras that were added by third versions. The Battle Subway is different in that it ever got "actualized" in B2W2, instead adding the World Tourney as a separate facility which logically would be the one to not appear in Unova remakes... Except IF they decide to follow PLA storyline. Then the World Tourney would probably replace the Battle Subway
Can’t get enough how awesome and cool Ingo is.
I just hope he regains his memories and remembers everything! I'm not at all wanting another Looker situation, where he appears in ORAS without any memories. I guess Anabel counts for this type of situation as well. :/
please fill me in, this feels like a first for the series (ive only finishes omega ruby, y, and sun though)
@@bydstc1904 wow that is really cool
Ingo is an man of the pose he knows how to strike an entrance
Hopefully Ingo will get back home soon!
4:10 s-soft smile 🥺
I bet Emmet is worried sick
It’s clever in a way since Ingo’s Japanese name “Nobori” can be “Nobori-Sen” or “Ongoing Train”, but can also be interpreted as “Yama-Nobori” which means “Mountain Climbing”
Story aside because everyone else has already said what needs to be said, this is honestly a really neat battle like he's got great type coverage
i like how ingo is just in that same pose the whole battle
Ingo is ingo trying to remember his ingone memories
Must’ve been a hard drop huh
You do know that Other dimensions could be set in the past right? Like a dimension were we are still fighting WW2.
I've actually thought about that concept
In the german version he even said its like the Hidden Machine 'Kraxler' (dont know the english name, but its the HM to climb cliffs up and down)
Such interesting depth to his character.
Rock climb?
@@kirbysuperstaruhh3769 Yes.
That’s all sad in Ingo’s situation, but that little smile he gives you, when you win a battle against him… 🥺
Such a good character. I wish, that GF would continue his story.
best character in the entire game
Easily top 3
fr, hes the only reason i want to buy the game and a switch
When you realise this is the actual subway boss theme but without the emett part
THAT H U R T
OK NGL THATS SAD-
I'm pretty sure it's not, the battle theme is used for more characters so it wouldn't make sense
Ingo: "Not sure how I got here...think it has to do with Spider-Man..."
Man, Im glad they put him under the spotlight, but damn, this is sad
Kinda wish they had kept Ingo's original theme but just remade it in the style of Legends Arceus. Also, since this time period is possibly similar to the 1860-1870s, who knows, DLC or perhaps another Legends game will see Ingo take command of a period era locomotive and the player gradually helping to restore his memories until, finally, he can return back to his own time.
His themes in the game but only when hes talking after the electrode fight i believe
So Pokemon Legends: Spirit Tracks?
@@Ty-yt3lj Lol, maybe. XD
Of course, during this period of time there were various railroads around the world.
Plus yeah, American railroads at the time DID have some weird designs but some were absolutely fabulous. Not only were there the New York 4-4-0s but also some 4-6-0s at the turn of the century plus the popular 4-4-2 Atlantic-type. I think one of the weirdest I found was a 4-4-4-4 configuration around the turn of the century.
The only difference is that his coat is now ripped and he is wearing a pearl clan shirt instead of his casual white with a blue tie
Also he looks older and has a goatee
This is just depressing...he doesn't remember his twin brother Emmet and his pokemon.
Ingo looks soo worn out bro
That's what happens when you take a person's love of trains away from them.
Wouldn’t you be too if you were lost in time and struggling to remember where exactly you came from and who you may have left behind?
I want Dawn/Lucas and Ingo to return home
When I first saw him emotion started playing in my head. Very sad if a gen 5 legends game hope there is a side quest to bring him back.
@@marieporter9488 Yes I already all of that. What I was saying is that Ingo was pulled from his dimension (The one we all know he's from). Your character was sent back in time within THEIR dimension.
Emmet must be worried about his bro :(

I like the remix to the e4 theme for this game it gives me chills
So there's 3 now

Dawn/Lucas as well.

It makes me wonder if Emmet is feels sadden, about Ingo missing and any witnesses in Unova has last seen him.
INGOOOOOOO
If this is taking place in the Era for revolution of Steam Power, is it theoretical that Ingo was the one who made the trains possible during this time and eventually how trains are in the present day where he would eventually either get back to his time or was stuck?
Idk, just hypothetical
MY HEADCANON :
- After finishing his mission given by Arceus to complete "hisui pokedex" ; and also all side quests : Lucas "Rei" ( my protagonist ) asked to Uxie to restore Ingo's memories . . .
- And later ( after saying farwell to everyone ) him and Ingo goes to "temple of sinnoh's ruins" : Adaman and Irida summons Dialga and Palkia with their orbs ; and ask them to create a wormhole to allow to Lucas "Rei" and Ingo returning to their time ( in the present ; Lucas "Rei" and Ingo appear at Spear Pillar ) . . .
- Lucas "Rei" take his main team with him in the future ( after releasing all his others pokemons in the pasturges : especially the legendaries , to prevent more "time paradox" ) , and copies of his "hisui pokedex" to offer one to prof Rowan . . .
Ingo take an sneasler with him in the future ( a wild sneasel that he evolved : to not forget his time as a warden with "pearl clan" ) . . .
FOR ME ;
- Ingo's was send to Hisui during the blank period between the events of BW and BW2 . . .
- Rei and Lucas ( because in my LEGENDS ARCEUS's save ; Rei is the protagonist ) are the same character . . .
- Emmet closed the "battle subway" during all the time period where Ingo is missing ( and reopened it only when Ingo finnaly come back in the present ) . . .
MY REI'S TEAM :
Decidueye , Luxray , Kleavor , Arcanine , m.Basculeigon , Braviary
Rei/Lucas is the canon protag I'm pretty sure
I’m jealous, you have a lopunny and im stuck with my buneary
Everyone’s talking about how sad it is that Emmett is missing Ingo, but if Arceus sends him back he can just be sent back to the moment he was taken away. He’ll be aged a bit but no time will have passed for Emmett or anyone else
This is assuming he'd go back to the exact moment he went missing and not however much time had passed since he was whisked away.
I can’t be the only one who was a little disappointed that he doesn’t have the subway boss theme from Black and White play when you fight him. The song would sound nothing like anything else in the game, but I think it would’ve been really fitting for a guy that otherwise wouldn’t belong in a game like this.
Dialga likes trains
imagine Emmet if he was in every game searching for his brother with the help of Looker, Emma and Anabel. Once his journey ends he realises the depressing truth. I want to see Ingo and his Sneasler searching for answers in every legends game onwards with other cameo trainers getting transported through time.
NINTENDO!!! GIVE US A DLC SO WE CAN SEND INGO HOME, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!
How more powerful would it have been if they remade the Unova Gym Leader theme or the Battle Subway theme for this battle.
