I'm so glad you mentioned KGLW...I stumbled across them 10 or so years ago and as a lifelong PJ Fan (I was a jr. in high school when 10 was released) I have struggled with finding another band that even comes close to comparison to my love of music as PJ...until I discovered KGLW...and now the catalog of music I have to enjoy is truly immense. Don't get me wrong there are many other bands I truly enjoy listening to...but these 2 bands stand together in my world on top of music mountain....
@@jeremyadams9821 Their catalog is massive! I went through all of their albums where I listened to them each at least 3 times and it took me quite a while. 😂 One of the most creative bands at the moment for sure. Have you seen King Gizzard live?
@@LastFewSpins I have seen them 2x so far...just this summer immediately following the Avette Brothers and in Chicago just after release of infest the rats nest....Plante B is one of the best live songs I've heard....both amazing and exhausting shows : )....cant say enough about them, the creativity and passing through different genres of music is most certainly underrated not to mention the fan base....just all over the place
@@jeremyadams9821 Nice, yeah it was interesting meeting people in the crowd who knew each other from past shows. A dude said it was his 27th time seeing them when I saw them perform in Cincinnati last summer. Lol I admire the dedication.
its a simple as putting efffort in to the crowd and engaging you, growing up as a pearl jam fan my whole life and understandng diffrent songs at diffrent times.the range of music that can supplies your feelings of sonder is what creates a brilliant thinking band. these guys had saved me through so much and to feel the emotional connection that they bring is somethibg special. great video!!! (dont forget eddie was leader of the whos fan club growing up and had a grea tprior band experiance with bad radio as these really shaped how they play live and record)
Well said! I totally get what you mean about understanding different songs at different times. Some songs by either them (or any other band) may have a track that doesn't hit right away, but then a life experience happens and it clicks. Then it ends up being one of your favorites. Lol but that tends to happen for me with Pearl Jam more than others. - Joey
Couple bangers for sure. For Immortality in particular.. the buildup to this part below in particular always gets me hyped. I cannot stop the thought Of runnin' in the dark A-comin' up a which way sign All good truants must decide Then even though it's different lyrics - have you heard the 1994 Live at Orpheum Theater version? So good.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO, I LOVE PEARL JAM MY FAVORITE BAND ON THIS CRAZY PLANET!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME VIDEO!! LONG LIVE PEARL JAM, PJ FANS ARE THE BEST!! KEEP ON ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD 🌎 EVERYONE! 😊💓🔥🤘✌️
Brain of J --- such a kickass way to begin "Yield". In fact one of my favorite album openers by them but they always tend to rock out on their first track like this. "You've been taught, whipped into shape, now they got you in line. Stand behind the stripes, there will be order, so give it good mind." In the context of this song being centered around JFK and some "mindful" evidence coming up missing in transport after his assassination, I think this lyric hits the hardest as it sounds like they are giving a little wink to the fact that the practices of our government may have been a little shady within that moment of history, even if it's not portrayed that way with how the story is told. Awesome suggestion @adamilles970

They made one great album and then had one or two other good songs in the 90s and then nothing that reached those heights again.
