    Want MORE mic noise cancellation? Try neep noise cancelling software free neep.com

    Very nice. I’m using the Sennheiser SDW60 with the dock for desk usage and the DECT dongle to take it with me for mobile working. DECT technology is much better than Bluetooth (e.g. much higher transfer rates of the microphone pickup). Nice to see that Jabra is still working with DECT and launching new models under this wireless technology.

    I'd love to see more realistic office sound - i.e. 6 pack of cubes with people - all talking on the phone at the same time. This seems to be a situation where many of these noise cancellation headsets fail! Especially in short walled cubes with people facing each other in the cubes.

      @HeadsetAdvisor  Місяць тому

      @@Stitch-smart great idea, we’re hoping to have the ability to do more real world testing as we agree that will be even more helpful.
      Many of the headsets we’ve tested will have their limitations in environments but noise canceling software like neep.com does a great job and is worth considering as well.

    2022 and still micro USB. All good, just saw the price and it's way too expensive for me. Still a very attractive headset.

    All wireless headset mics are at potato quality. The difference between the wired Jabra Engage 50 II and the wireless Jabra Engage 55 is night and day. I'm honestly stumped as to why they can't transfer a few KB of data without horrible distortion.

    I think Passive vs Active noise cancelling was worth mentioning... anyway, how does this compare to the Engage 65/75?
    PS: Your video quality has really gone a long way.. love it!

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 роки тому

      Great points! Thanks for sharing to help us improve. The headset quality will be the same as the 65 and 75 but it will be computer only connectivity.
      So, if you needed to connect to a desk phone or mobile phone the 55 wouldn’t be the way to go.
      The 55 doesn’t require a charging base with AC power, so it’s more portable as well.

    My Jabra Elite 65e is about to give up the ghost soon. It's not sold anywhere, and I need to replace it with something comparable. It is a full-on hybrid that I use at my desk with my laptop and also my cell phone. It has great noise canceling functionality, and the noise reduction function on the mic is also pretty great. No one is really making headphones like this anymore. Do you have any recommendations? Most important functions I need are noise canceling, noise reduction on calls and I need to be able to use it with both PC and cell phone. I would love to hear your recommendations because I think you're videos are very thorough.

      @@HeadsetAdvisor Thank you so much for responding to my question. I saw the my test on these and I need a noise canceling mic because I work from home but I also work out in the field. I've been looking at reviews for 1MORE EVO True Wireless Active Noise Canceling Headphones. I'm not a big fan of earbuds but if that's my only option at this point for what I do then I might have to consider different brands.

    What’s the difference between passive and active noise cancelling?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Рік тому +1

      Hi Mrs. Russel, this is referring to the speakers. Passive noise cancellation means there's no extra ability to reduce noise in the speakers, whereas active noise canceling is a feature on some headsets you can turn on and adjust to further reduce noises around you.
      Active vs passive noise cancellation doesn't refer to anything about the microphone.

    I'm suprised how terrible the microphone sounds compared to the Jabra Engange 50 II. Is that because it's wireless vs wired?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

      It's possible, but the Engage 50 II also has a different microphone design which could also be the reason.

      Agreed our camera microphone sounds better, but it's really comparing apples to oranges. You wouldn't use a shotgun microphone for calls/meetings like we use to record our videos. To answer your question though we use this for our videos amzn.to/3QO31Ve

      Thanks @@HeadsetAdvisor I've been looking for my next headset and I just can't pick one. I really really love the quality of your camera mic and neither wireless headsets seem to be close to it. I watched countless of your videos and I am just so lost. What I'm looking for are two things: the microphone must sound like as close to a camera-mic as possible and, second, to have as low latency as possible, so regular BT is not an option.
      What could you recommend for me?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Рік тому +1

      @@papaiatis We hear you and wish you could have the best of both worlds to have background noise cancellation plus a comparable sound to a camera microphone.
      If you were to listen to earbuds like Airpods then compare against a headset microphone, you may have a similar viewpoint as you do with our camera mic vs the headset you've listened to.
      That being said, if you don't need a microphone that reduces background noise, you could consider using a pair of headphones of your choice and adding the microphone here ua-cam.com/video/Tut1KDa_S3M/v-deo.htmlsi=Lou6HconsIDGukE7
