    I really respect your honest review of this Blackstone griddle. Most others don’t seem to highlight the details that you do and I can absolutely see what you’re talking about. Thank you for your candid review. I will definitely be subscribing to you.

      Hey, I appreciate the kind words. And thank you for supporting the channel. I just wanted to point out the things I noticed and that I think will or could cause a problem. I don’t want people going out and spending their hard earned money on things with out knowing what they are getting. I believe it has room for improvement “ namely the single sad hinge” but all In all not a bad buy if the griddle coating itself will hold up. We just did another 5 day trip on it and so far still holding up and done everything I’ve needed and more “ used my oven on it again ”. I have two more trips coming up this month to cook on it even more.

    Thank you for your review! I've been considering this griddle and have watched a ton of online reviews, and yours is the first one to include the actual dimensions and pros and cons. Most of the other online reviews simply rehash Blackstone's marketing materials.

    It is a GREAT griddle for camping. It's not as heavy for travel and it basically just closes and you can go. I have a Members Mark that was heavy as all get out that this one replaced. I am not sorry....it works fantastic!

    I just moved to Utah and am living in a casita with no stove or oven. I have an air fryer for the over part. I think this griddle will take care of the stove part. Plus I go camping a lot. Thanks for the review.

    Why these campstoves don't use a hose to hook the bottle up is beyond me. It is a simple fix and would allow the person using it to place the bottle out of the way.

    @the crayonbrotherhood, great review! I'm torn between this version vs. the original tabletop griddle. I assume this would be easier to overland with (4Runner), but curious with cooking with the coated top vs the original, flavor difference with seasoning and long term use. Do they make an adapter for this grill to use a larger propane tank?

    • @Thecrayonbrotherhood
      @Thecrayonbrotherhood  5 місяців тому +1

      Ya used the original cast-iron top for about six months. And even covered and put up in my slide out drawer, I kept having to reseason the griddle top because the humidity the top would draw moisture and rust. I have to say I am concerned about how long the coating will last. I have a few small light scratches already, but not all the way through the coating. yes they make an adapter hose that will fit a bigger bottle, I carry a 5lb with me on my trips. I think I talk about it in this video, link below. I got it at Walmart if I remember correctly.

    I agree with that dinky hinge lock and the wind hitting that solid lid like a boat sail. If that hinge lock/arm did happen to break, do you think the lid would open fully and lay flat without hurting the hinges?

    • @Thecrayonbrotherhood
      @Thecrayonbrotherhood  6 місяців тому +1

      Sorry for taking so long to respond out on a trip. No you don’t have to season it at all. A little oil before cooking will help on cleaning up. And you have to use plastic or silicone cooking utensils to avoid scratches.
