Considering your main attack in this game is a gun, i feel like they made the bosses have more health cause you're always at a distance when attacking. That and i also think they wanted more than one person to play so you had more damage output.
The one thing I don't like about this ending is that you destroy the Toad's homeworld, and essentially comit genocide on their entire species. The Toads were victims too of Komplex's brainwashing. I feel like a better ending would have been for Komplex to be destroyed, and the Planetary Life Force not only returning to its rightful planets, but breaking the control on the Toads as well. Free'd from their enslavement, instead of the ship flying away from a destroyed planet, it could have been flying away with the toads cheering for Bucky O'Hare. Prior to their mind control, the toads were lazy and misguided, but not evil. Their true selves didn't deserve to be wiped out.
Backstory if you never saw the show, Komplex was an A.I. created by the toads as a way of managing their entire society, it went evil and took over basically turning the toads into space nazis hellbent on turning the entire galaxy into a swampy paradise for their species.

It's a really nice touch that this was made after the show was cancelled, and the game shows the actual ending of the series, great touch.

With all these beat 'em up resurrections, a Bucky revival might not be far off.
