Hi again. Got to wear the watch at 2.00pm Monday. Fully charged. It is now Thursday 21:20. Have used GPS 3 times. Have 67% battery left. I have noticed that GPS uses 5% battery. This is the best smart watch I have bought in a very long time. SWT I love your reviews. Keep it up bro.
@@petergarvey8991. I also purchased and tested this watch - see my comments. I cannot get the GPS to work from the watch, only from the app itself. Are you recording activity with just the watch itself and then syncing it back to the app ?? When you do that does it show you the map of your activity where you walked / or did your run ? When I do that it just comes up with a blank map stating “ temporarily no data”. There is also no data feed back to Strava ?
I’m getting gps on the watch. Forgot some days to open the phone app. Just outdoor walking. Bottom button. Follow instructions and it should work for you. When finished exercise. Go to phone app. Select workout . A map of your track should appear for you. Let me know how you get on. ?
Well I bought one of these, they randomly stop working, which forces to leave the clock until it loses battery, and after that, for now it's working. It already happened twice in two or three months. The battery also has its issues, sometimes it fully loads, and sometimes it doesn't, despite showing the 100% loading info. If you can try another option.
Nice review. Smartwatch technology for the mid tier to affordable models is really stagnant nowadays. Garmin seems to be the only one innovating with interesting technology like solar charging etc. Most of their watches are expensive.
Totally agree. Even Galaxy seems stagnant regarding innovative improvements and FitBit hasn't changed in years. Yet the watches I review here have all kinds of new stuff, from ECG readings, blood glucose, laser diode therapy, multiple global GPS support, and much more. Thanks for watching!
I had meet with a couple of these chinese factories, and the main "issue" is they basically are price driven. the target price for quantity is 12-20 USD so can´t expect much. And also a lot of them don´t really develop from the ground, seems that is kinda of lego-build PCB and parts with the same or very similar linux based OS.
Hi, I wonder if you can give me some answers about the Zeblaze Stratos 3. I would like to know the model of both the CPU and the GPS chip. So do you confirm that the GPS works independently without the need to have your phone with you? If we are asked to connect the watch to the phone for the GPS fix, is it true that we can simply ignore this warning?
Just watching your video on zeblaze stratos 3 sir im excited my order on this watch hopefully november 2 arrived its my gift for my birthday on november 1❤
It doesnt seem to have scrren lantern mode. I find its such a useful thing turning the screen white bright to avoid turning lights so that i dont disturbed anyone during night instead of picking my phone up.
Dear SmartWatch Ticks, Like your reviews. I'm impressed by the AOD of the Stratos 3. Can you confirm that GPS actually works without the phone? And that Strava integration is more than only a button on the phone? I see many people complaining that these specs are fake. And I have the same experience (with other watch). Lastly please also show starting & stopping an activity from the phone, sometimes such a simple task also requires the app... Hope to hear from you. Kind regards from the Netherlands.
It is recommended for both recreational and serious runners because it gives you a real- time distance, pace and heart rate which is essential if you have a target time in a race or work-out. That is what you need most in a GPS outdoors watch.
here I am looking at your review, after my Microwear H1 which I purchased from a review in your video some 3 years ago, finally broke down after a mishap (rubber seals cracked and harden and I jumped into a pool )
Wow, that's awesome life from your H1. At that rate it probably cost you the equivalent of a few pennies a day! You can't even get that life out of a pair of socks, let alone a smartwatch. Just like socks, though, it's OK to have more than one smartwatch! There's a huge variety out there these days, and with 3 or 4 you can cover just about every need that might come up from monitoring ECG to trekking in the wilderness with on-wrist GPS. BTW, I think your watch outlived the watch company! I haven't seen a watch from Microwear for quite awhile now.
I used to try and do that, but have learned over time that it's really up to each of us to check that depending on our skin color, arm hair, even moisture in the skin. So no, I put a disclaimer in the show notes that the accuracy of the measurements needs to be checked and that these are not calibrated medical devices and should be viewed for reference only as toys. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for hanging in there and watching regularly! It's guys like you that keep me motivated to keep going! I don't have a sense on true battery life, but, as usual, the more the screen is off, the longer the battery will last. Perhaps somebody that owns this watch as a daily driver can give us a report on battery life. That would be nice.
Haha, there'll always be another one. Case in point, the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 is up next. I think I've just about reviewed every single one of them. Same for many other brands. Always improving. I'll check on getting an Ares 3 Pro as well. Can't ever have too many watches!!
I don't see auto reply on this one. I don't have near enough time to test sensor accuracy on these watches with the number of them I review, so I rely on actual owners of these watches to give us all feedback here regarding their results. Sorry, but just so much we can do with basic unboxing and first look reviews.
Auto Reply is present on the watch, or at the very least it shows the arrow to reply however, it states quick replies can be edited via app. On the app I cannot locate where this capability resides. Bit miss-leading. I reached out to manufacturer to get clarity.
Watch Is great, however I cannot for the life of me figure out how to find quick replies for when SMS messages come thru. Watch indicates you can edit quick replies via app but I cannot find it anywhere. Any luck with this?
I purchased this watch from Ali express. It does not have built in GPS as advertised nor does it connect to Strava as advertised. You can only get GPS mapped activities when you use the app. The watch itself will not transmit GPS data or routes you have walked back to the app. Can someone else who has this watch test and verify the GPS capability that it does work 100 % independently from the app.
@@MrRichieOtti. The comments are not wrong. At the time of writing this review ( reply ) this watch was not functioning as advertised. I have been communicating with Zeblaze engineers since then and provided my feedback and data to them. Since then they have upgraded the device firmware and the app software to resolve the GPS / Map display and STRAVA data transfer. Most people that will buy the watch now should have no issues , but as a 1st buyer my watch was rubbish and Zeblaze should not have released it without more testing in the 1st place. My comments were 100% accurate and were provided to make potential buyers aware of the issues after my own extensive tests.
How to use the gps without connect to phone.mine failed. Strava also not connected with this app. I feel like i had been scammed.....huhuhu...maybe someone can help me to set the gps in correct way...tq
After using the lemfo d100 I can't use no other watch that doesn't have 1-unlocked sim card slot 2-wifi and data on its own 3-at least internal 4-8 gig memory 4-a camera 😏
You've just described all newer Android smartwatches, many with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage! All have GSM supported unlocked SIM support, WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular data. Heck, the can even go into hotspot mode (if your carrier plan includes it) to you can WiFi pair your tablet to you watch if you want! A lot has happened since you subscribed 6 years ago! Glad you're still checking in!
Zeblaze are misleading your customers by writing in the specification that the watch has IP68 protection. Such behavior is unacceptable. Disseminate information about the lack of protection for Stratos 3 is important to warn and protect potential customers.
Got the watch yesterday. Perfectly packaged. Still going through the testing process.
Yippee! Have fun!

Wow, you're right. I don't see it either. It would usually be when you swipe down or on a 2nd page, but it's not there. Thanks for pointing that out.
Hi nice review. But im curious, does Stratos 3 have 'Normally On' screen like Stratos 2 thru the app at the device management?
Nice review. Thank you. How do you turn on 12 hour digital watch face? Stuck on 24 hour military time for me. Thanks
Have the same question here. Did you get the 12 hrs mode?
@@True_R0BIN It's on the phone app
How long does it last with a charge if you place it in Always On mode?
do you know if there is an option to set calling notification only with vibration, without beeping sound? Thanks
does it have altimeter and VO2max feature?
Very comprehensive review! Sure helped allot with some details i wanted to know. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! It's the kind of stuff I'd want to know before buying, not just the glossy photos of models wearing them on their arms.

GPS works without phone!
Had a swimming workout with gps?
Unfortunately the watch is not really 5ATM or even IP68, a little water and the watch become a useless piece of junk.

I heard if you put the watch underwater it will stop working after few days. Wrong sealing assembly apparently.😮
