Also, being gay and white in very conservative families in the south, right here in the us might be harder than gay and black in LA. so location and CONDITIONS matter. privilege is not something you can apply to every member of a group. privilege is very much individual
No, in all of those situation being white causes no problems, its just something that is. You can be and have problems but you don't have those problems BECAUSE you white.
What is with America and it's damn race problems? I know some gay blacks who are loved in their families, I know some white gays who got kicked out of home. It has nothing to do with your race, it's about whether you're lucky enough to be in a caring home with accepting family members. just because a person doesn't date in high school doesn't mean they are gay. at the moment I'm straight and I've never been in a relationship before. and I'm 21.
My family is probably the only whites family at our church. Black church. My parents are both deacons. It's been 3 years since bishop gave a homophobic sermon. I haven't gone back, it's because the cheers made me sick to my stomach. To turn around and see families with whom we have fellowship cheering hatred of gays....made me feel sick. I can't imagine to grow up black and gay. Stay strong guys.
I'm assuming you are non black. So it is easy for you to try to compare two things that have nothing to do with the other. It is not like saying its harder to be black with a headache. Culturally gay in black communities is looked at more viciously than in other cultures. The same way it is worse to be gay in Jamaica than it is in America. It is a crime in Jamaica, whole towns beat and kill homosexuals. You can't compare apples and oranges. (Your statement diminishes our experience)
If you can't accept it then that doesn't sound like unconditional love. Unfortunately people especially throw around this concept of "I disagree with your life but I love you." To us this is quite feeble and valueless. It becomes more work to maintain a relationship with this type of person than benefit is derived. I should expect anyone on the receiving end of this reasoning to look elsewhere for love, in which case you might find yourself with a crumbling family should this situation ever arise.
As long as you respect your grandson and don’t condemn him then of course you can have your own opinion, if you don’t hurt or insult him. Just know that not everyone is religious but you can always find balance within respect.
I got labeled gay growing up it was hard and difficult to have a life and dating was horrible it gets harder as you get older nothing like that ever leaves you I can totally relate😔😔😔😔
Draco Tega lol, black women have it easy being gaay, y'all are praised. if a gurl holds another girls hand no one cares, girls can be more fluid in their sexulaty than men
It’s similar in the UK unfortunately. I’m white but prefer black guys. So have seen the brick wall my ex’s have faced. I’m working class and from an area that is very macho. I learned to adapt that much that I have had to have arguments with close straight friend guys when I tell them. Partners tell me they like me because I’m straight acting whatever that means. Somehow we have been oppressed that much as communities that we have evolved into oppressing ourselves.
The way the MAJORITY of black parents treat their gay children is completely appalling. Here in my country, gay black guys never even usually ‘come out’.
Rusty Shakleford please don't say that. I know that you probably don't know what you're saying is offensive but saying that cis people are "normal" implies that trans, non-binary, etc, are not and are simply not true. People who happen to be different from you are still "normal" at least when used in the same context as you. I hope you understand that I'm not trying to throw shade, I'm just explaining☺☺☺
Well when it comes to homosexuality it's different when it involves African Americans because it's a part of a cultural trauma. Back when African slaves were kept on plantation slave women were not only raped but slave men aswell by their slave masters. They did this often to make male slaves dossile by stripping them of their dignity as a man and they did this infront of their family's. If he was particularly more strong or tall they did this to reduce them so that they'd feel subjugate and less of what they were. So that the group no longer felt inpowerd by him as a potential leader to rise against and rebel.
Black families can be so ignorant sometimes. My older brother is autistic and my mother thinks if she ignores it, it will go away.

MAKE US ALL PROUD
just because a person doesn't date in high school doesn't mean they are gay. at the moment I'm straight and I've never been in a relationship before. and I'm 21.
Don't be proud of being gay.
don't be proud of being black
don't be proud of being straight
don't be proud of being white
just be proud of being you
Nichlas Gjeding but I AM white and I AM straight
Datsko what I mean is. you don't have to associate yourself as a certain type of person. just be happy about who you are
I agree
My family is probably the only whites family at our church. Black church. My parents are both deacons. It's been 3 years since bishop gave a homophobic sermon. I haven't gone back, it's because the cheers made me sick to my stomach. To turn around and see families with whom we have fellowship cheering hatred of gays....made me feel sick.
I can't imagine to grow up black and gay. Stay strong guys.
Respect
Good on you. Stay strong.
That was inspiring. I wanna be a helicopter 🙂
Is that suppose to be funny :|
@@cromnia-1199 yeah
Saying its worse to be black and gay is like saying its worse to be black with a headache
I do not know how I would feel if my grandson would be gay.I would love him but it would be hard for me .but I would never hurt him,
Ilona Badeaux why would it be hard for you?
Because of my religion.I love you but I cannot accept your way.
Wait till you, if you decide to enter corporate America as a gay black men. That s going to be challenge as well.
Where's Sky Williams?
he insulted buzz feed and MTV so he won't be shown lol.
o LOL
Okay but why does NO ONE speak of the discrimination that runs rampant against POC *within* the gay community - the gay male community in particular?
Welcome to Liberalfeed.
ii HD R3MiXx more like AIDSfeed
It's actually TriggerRepublicansFeed
I got labeled gay growing up it was hard and difficult to have a life and dating was horrible it gets harder as you get older nothing like that ever leaves you I can totally relate😔😔😔😔
Could it possibly get any worse?
Wolf Sings black gay and vegan.
Wolf Sings black gay and a woman
Draco Tega lol, black women have it easy being gaay, y'all are praised. if a gurl holds another girls hand no one cares, girls can be more fluid in their sexulaty than men
I love all of these guys.
Is it just me or do I wanna BuzzFeedPride (plz make one BuzzFeed)
Nali Swara buzzfeed is cancer
Andrew Breslin true but maybe it would be better
Warren had the best moment of this video, which was, hand pointed at the camera, "I think I'm *gay*, dad!" I had to watch that again, haha
Oh boy Buzzfeeds at it again
Nice profile pic
At what again?
forreal lol
It’s similar in the UK unfortunately. I’m white but prefer black guys. So have seen the brick wall my ex’s have faced. I’m working class and from an area that is very macho. I learned to adapt that much that I have had to have arguments with close straight friend guys when I tell them. Partners tell me they like me because I’m straight acting whatever that means. Somehow we have been oppressed that much as communities that we have evolved into oppressing ourselves.
I was having a great day until I saw this
MoLlEr 7
When I see you, my day goes bad
My heart aches for those struggling. I stand with the LGBTQ community.
I hate buzzfeed.
JimMcnugget then why you watching
Just bc you're watching doesn't mean you can't hate it.
It does mean you like wasting your own damn time though. Sounds like you guys like being mad. XD
Yeah, buzzfeed is cancer.
The way the MAJORITY of black parents treat their gay children is completely appalling. Here in my country, gay black guys never even usually ‘come out’.
Wtf buzzfeed
Get a grip. Lol
Let's see bisexual black people Buzzfeed. Make it happen! Great vid by the way.
I'm white, cisgender and proud! **patiently waits for people to be offended**
Im so out of touch with modern lingo that i dont even know what cisgender even means, does it mean someone who is...you know....normal?
Get a life. Smh
The only thing I’m offended about is your face, you could have easily replaced that doll Annabelle in that movie.
Charlotte Casey real men only date cis women.
I ain't tripping, ik this one gay black guy and he's hella cool and chill.
Now do growing up straight and white...
Its Buzzfeed I'm pretty sure they won't make a video about that. They pretty much hate any white straight males.
wow I bet that must be really tough
Jonathan Telles You sound pretty racist to me, not actually but I just wanted to show you the hypocresy and how one sided you are
Uh straight white people were never hurt, so, no 🙃
jamiewkfarrell lol I was a white girl in the Bronx that was hard
Well when it comes to homosexuality it's different when it involves African Americans because it's a part of a cultural trauma.
Back when African slaves were kept on plantation slave women were not only raped but slave men aswell by their slave masters. They did this often to make male slaves dossile by stripping them of their dignity as a man and they did this infront of their family's. If he was particularly more strong or tall they did this to reduce them so that they'd feel subjugate and less of what they were. So that the group no longer felt inpowerd by him as a potential leader to rise against and rebel.
