I made a top with little sleeves that stuck out (and didn't like it either). So, I created a little inverted pleat at the hem of the sleeve and put a button on it for decoration and that improved it a lot. Thanks Sam and Ruan for all your work, I have really enjoyed Sew Frugal.
I’ve just realised that I have cut out the Edith top without seam allowance 😱😱! In my defence I’m fairly new to shirt making! Back to the drawing board for me 😂😂😂 Definitely going to try this again 😊
I like all your makes and wouldn’t mind any of them for myself. I’m new to downloading free patterns (or any, for that matter). I’ve really gotten inspired by your challenge. Thank you and Ruan for all your work. Happy Easter!
Hi Sam thanks for hosting sew frugal it’s my favourite challenge even though I am not joining in no sew jo. Love love all your makes can’t wait to see the waistcoat xx
Challenge was great , thankyou so much for organising it ….unfortunately I got overtaken by life and didn’t manage to post an entry BUT I’ve had some great pattern recommendations and discovered some new designers so I will be making a few projects soon 🤞
Loved the first two dresses. I especially love the t-shirt dress. I liked that pattern when you talked about it earlier in March. After seeing it on you, I now will be getting that pattern. Thanks for sharing all your makes!
I'm sewing up an Edith while I watch your review on it! Struggling with the collar 🤦🏻♀️ - I'll fudge it lol. I made the pompon for the sewfrugal challenge but omitted the welt pockets having not done them before and I'd already made a ton of rookie errors (note to self: read instructions before starting the project!). I've got another cut out and I'll add the welt pockets to that one 😊. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Youve made some great things and all for holidays. After your initial vlog i immediately went over and downloaded the Edith top. Im so glad you mentioned the struggle with the pleat. I was pulling my hair out because it just wouldnt work. I fudged it in the end and i will still wear it but im with you. the sleeves stick out. I would make it again but with some changes. Im off to have a look at the tee dress pattern now. Thanks Sam 😊
I understand wanting to get the waistcoat pockets right. I did mess them up on mine. I caught it before I made it irreversible. Unpicked it all. Had to cut some new pocket lining. I've got them ready to go when I can get back to it.
Love your comments on fit. It's so so important to remember that clothes should feel how we want them to feel rather than us being a certain size 🙏
Thank you 👍
Agree!

Oh sorry you struggled with the pleat, maybe if a I make it again I'll do a quick tutorial 🤗
@@Frugalisama I wondered if it had stretched out because I couldn't get it you fit, but yes to a tutorial.

Well done for being able to rectify it - best to approach it again with fresh eyes 👍
Beautiful. Happy Resurrection Day! ✝️
Same to you!
Lovely makes! I especially like the culottes, they look like a very comfortable and versatile garment.
