5:30, You want that bottom hook coming out right at the bottom of the bait not half way along, That bait is going to cost you a lot of casting distance as it wont fly straight
Hello mate I appreciate the comment and suggestion. I’ve always baited up like this as its the way i’ve been taught. Theres many ways of baiting things up and I guess its personal preference at the end of the day. However, as it was a clip down rig I don’t think I lost that much distance. I will give your way a try tho 👊 thanks for the comment and support
Well done matt great content as usual well done dan on the cod its a great spot abbotsbury but hit and miss for cod, dragons teeth and beyond for better chance for cod.
Thanks so much I really appreciate it! Its tough fishing down there and the walk can be a killer too! Do let me know how you get on if you go that way!
Thanks Stu mate, I’ve really tried to increase my videos quality drastically & I think i’m doing a good job! Glad enjoyed it, Will hopefully get out on the beach with you again sometime soon 👊👊👊
@@FishingwithMattUK Definitely seeing the production quality shining mate, audio, intros, chit chat, makes for an enjoyable watch. Keep it going buddy. 👌
Really appreciate that feedback, had quite a few people mention it which makes me really happy! My vids used to be bad to average but I feel i’ve got the rhythm now 😍
Hello daniel mate thanks alot for the comment and support! The parking is literally a 4 minute walk from a fishing spot along the beach! The only downside is parking can cost £10+! I also use 2 lights to light my rods up, One being a fenix cl28r on a tripod & the other being a 2000 lumen lap work light from screwfix on top of my tent! They are both good but the lap one seems to last a bit longer & potentially light more up but then again the fenix light is 4x smaller!
@@FishingwithMattUK thanks very much for the reply. Thinking of a two Night fishing trip with my brother in march. He can pay the parking as im driving 😂 looks a stunning venue to fish. Keep up the videos pal 👍
@danielbladen7606 you’re very welcome mate! I try to respond to 100% of comments but obviously some can slip through! It should hopefully be quite productive for flounders & plaice in march as long as the weather stays nice and calm 😎 you may see me down there some time!
Hello robin mate, I and many others are still learning as we go. I’m not a beginner fisherman but i’m nowhere near a professional nor claim to be. I use the hooks I use as they are sharp and have caught me amazing fish. As to have the hook in the tail, are you suggesting I use a curved hook?
try a smaller like 3/0 at the top off your pennel, circle or stinger ,honestley it will account for 90 percent of your hook ups and they will be in scissors, with circle wind not strike, hope this helps it did me@@FishingwithMattUK
Great video Matt keep them coming
Thank you so much larry mate! I will try my best to keep the content & fishies coming! I might go live tonight so keep a look out 👀🥶🥶

Nice cod, you're turn next matt, cheers.
Thanks Nick mate, Certainly was a lovely cod pulled by dangler! I’ll be down there again sometime in search of a piggy
Very entertaining. Feel your pain with the dogs, they're cool but get tedious after a few. Would love to get done there with you guys. 😎👍

Great video. What is the parking and walk situation to the beach like at this venue? And what light are u using to light up the rods?

i find cuttle works well off boat
Yeah cuttle is a great bait
I find it good off the rocks but get next to nothing on it on Chesil. Even the Dogs won't touch it
Yeah crazy how different baits catxh different fish in different places!
have you been fishing long, why o why use a long shank hook hanging out bait tail,
