This is the biggest crock of crap i have ever seen. I ordered the batwing for my 09 strat. I have the original windshield mounts he speaks about. The fairing does not fit like it shows on the red and black and silver bikes. It sets below the handbars. What hey dont tell you up front is you wont be able to put your key in the ignition switch. They show you these pretty curved windshield which you cant get. And the 2 mou ti g brackets thats your so called hardware yiu have to twist them to make them fit. Its a bad design, i wish i would have saved my money for aomething else.
I was just about to order it.... so it does not fit??? How did you get it to work?
@@MrCFPOTTER I made my own brackets using the one that came with it as a template. I made the bracket taller between the mounting holes and the slots at bottom. Instead of slotting the top mount slot i made it flat so you can adjust the tilt of it. I also had to get the 10 windshield then went to a local glass company and had one cut 2 inches taller to get it to set at the correct height because if how hi i set in the seat. Now i do have an aftermarket seat though so ride hieght may vary from yours. I can now get my whole hand in there to the switch.
Hi Mark, sorry to hear it didn't go smoothly for you. We've done hundreds of roadliners and stratoliners in the past and we haven't had many hiccups, but every now and then, some bikes are tougher than others. We try to be transparent in the way our products work and always do our best to support customers through their experience with us. As for the key hole, it is accessible, but tighter. Because the roadliner/stratoliner key hole is located on the top of your headlight, any batwing fairing added to the bike will create a smaller space to access the hole (unless its designed with an empty space which would likely look like crap). Also, we sell plenty of curvy windshields for the fairing which can be ordered. Again, sorry it didn't go smoothly for you. Hope you can still enjoy the fairing.

I tried to get the curvy winshield and was told its not available for the fairing for the strat. I was told i could only get the 5 inch and 10 inch flat. I would love to have a curved one but I got the 10 inch to help with the height. It seems to be almost too thick, was hard to bow and fit into the fairing. I just hope all the flat pressure it puts on it doesnt crack the fairing. As for the key i couldnt even touch the switch with the factory brackets but seems to be working now.
@@Mwlson44 Reckless doesn't actually make curvy windshields - but we get some after market ones from memphis/klock werkes. However, this means you would get 2 shields (one from Reckless included in the fairing kit, and one aftermarket) this means the second shield would be paid for separately. This turns most people away from that option as its $100+ additional for the second shield - but, we do offer it! Everything is covered under warranty - if the shield has any issues, let us know. And very glad to hear you managed to adjust the fairing to your liking. Cheers
