The way modern games are sold, distributed and subsequently milked is one of the reasons I'm sticking with classic games. My question: before video games were electro-mechanical games. What do you remember of these marvels of engineering?
Hi matey!! Hope you're feeling better now. Here's a couple of dumb questions for you:- Question 1 - Did you ever really get into any text only games and if so which was your favourite? Question 2 - What is your favourite video game character that's only one colour? Take care :)
The difference between addiction - Then = It was like buying a football, a one off purchase that wasnt ever obsolete. Games were addictive because they were good, it wasn't part of some selling/buying psychology. Nowadays its more like Heroin....games are just very deliberate psychological hooks for the purpose of long term addiction. Very different times. Easy for me....games have been utter garbage now for well over a decade.
Having to buy stuff in a beat ‘em up game in this day and age is Tekken the p1ss.
