Remember most of those, but not all. Stella Shuttle was definitely one that I remember playing for hours on end. Very simple, but addictive. It used artifacting to generate the colours if I remember rightly, but didn't seem to work as well on PAL TV's compared to NTSC TV's.

Ahh yes that was it artifacting and I think you are right with working on NTSC TV's. I must have missed a load of good games out but just wanted to share some, shame most of the 400/800 catalogue of games will never be played again by most people.

The importance of having a clean passage can never be overstated.

I am a little too young for the 400 and 800. I do have a 7800 console that my kids and I jam on. They love Snoopy and the Red Baron and most of all Stampede. Here in America there is still one heritage Atari dealer called Best Electronics out in California. If you want to run the original gear, they can help you out. Cheers on your break from audio!

So nice to be able to preserve our youth with emulators. I still enjoy the crossfire game! :)

The old Atari 400 had a membrain keyboard that was a pain when typing in basic games but looked great and the 800 is such a good looking machine. Played on mine all day

@@MichaelYates thanks for the reply Michael.
1979 was a good year, I was a fourteen year old Mod, intensely interested in: clothes, music, scooters and managing to get into the pictures to see the most influential movie of my life, Quadrophenia. My mates and I somehow managed to get in to see it , even though it was an 18 rated film! What an experience. 😉😂
Happy New Year to you and your family my friend.
