Really enjoyed your insightful baking videos 😍😍😍😍 just one question, is buttermilk a must for the ubecakes? Or is there an alternative that we can use?
Hey Jessica! So it's good to have a little acidity in this recipe, so the best swap for buttermilk would be low or full fat plain yogurt (not Greek) and probably watered down just a little (I'd say 25% about?) with some milk (whatever fat content). Use the same volume or weight measurement in my recipes. The result should be fairly similar. 💜
Thank you for your video. Do you have any tips or can make a video on how to color fresh cream brightly without overwhipping the cream? I have the Wilson color gel in a pot not the ones that can squirt out but my fiancee always says it looks like the colors are so pale and faded.
If my recipe calls for one cup of all purpose flour, is it one cup on cake flour too?, and how can I make all purpose flour into cake flour? Thank you I love all what you do
You can make cake flour from all purpose - a general rule is to replace 2 tablespoons of all purpose for cornstarch in every cup of flour that you need. It will get you mostly there, but by far, for the softest and velvety cakes, cake flour is awesome to bake with :)
Tasty Pastry Kitchen so cute! Thank you for that! I’m interested in growing my own edible flowers and I love the look of sweet alyssum cause it reminds me of baby’s breath ❤️
I got these substitutions from King Arthur Flour, and any should work in this recipe: - 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice mixed into 1 cup of milk. Let the milk stand for 10 to 15 minutes, until it thickens very slightly and curdles. - 1 3/4 teaspoons cream of tartar mixed with 1 cup of milk. Shake until the cream of tartar dissolves. - Sour cream thinned with milk or water to the consistency of heavy cream. Plain unsweetened kefir. - Yogurt thinned with milk or water to the consistency of heavy cream.
That ube flavored whipped cream is the perfect shade of “lavender”. 💜
It's so pretty. I gasped when I first started testing with ube as an ingredient
Those cakes are so pretty! I never realized you should cut off the top of the cake when you make layer cakes. Thank you for sharing!!

Is this like chiffon cake or a more dense cake?

What are the types of edible flowers in your garden?
These are overgrown lettuce flowers :) My favorite is sweet alyssum and those are the little white flowers I usually use

You're welcome 😊
Won't these cakes slide within the box and get the frosting ruined if we pack and take it with us somewhere? How do we prevent that?
For how much would u sell them? And would change the price for different types of design?
Where can I find the written recipe for the ube cake? Thank you.
In the description, you can use my cakeculator to do a different sized cake, or use the written one in the post :)
@@Sugarologie thank you!
Which the size of cake pan? Please
The little cakes are 4 inches in diameter, under my video is an Amazon link, you can see the manufacturers dimensions for the whole pan :)
@@Sugarologie OK thank you so much ma'am 🤗❤️
@@Sugarologie which is the best buttercream? American buttercream or Swiss meringue buttercream? I'm so confused 😅
I've never heard of ube. I love the color but what flavor is it?
Idk how to explain it but t’s kinda like taro + sweet potato. I love the flavour.
Please give the recipe. Can't guest by watching the measurement.
Sure! It's in the description box below the video, but you can also find it here
