The fact that this is recorded with a potato quality makes it 10 times creepier
Bruh, for real
Straight up biggest trolls in hip hop and they still bang out better and more original tracks than all the bell ends they troll...
👍
you're idiot I hate you go 'way (sorry for good english)
fr
InkDropFalls They basically said fuck it and ran with it. Absolutely love them.
No they don't lmao They have good music but to say the bellends(Hollywood Giants) produce trash is fucking retarded. They have a niche.
I think there is a slight possibility that they use drugs.
They're stoned out their fucking mines all the time. Look at yesterday
@@delx5751 No shit!
FUCK OFF
They are just always on drugs look at them
a very high ... but it is,,, making them unique
Afrikaans sounds like Dutch spoken by drunken farmers
O wait
It is
Ek fokken weet nie maar ek is poes dronk
Toothless aka There’s barely German in it. It’s mostly Dutch and some English slang. Afrikaans is a ausbau language.
Afrikaans sounds thats way because they language are a mix between English, Dutch, Portuguese and a few other languages influences
Dr. Hartman TRUTH 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Drunken farmers who have been inbreeding for 400 years.
I love them because I really can't tell if they're insane or fucking geniuses who don't take themselves very seriously. I can't help but feel like it's a combination of the two...
Jake Gordon
They say...
The distance between genius and insanity is measured only by success...
Insane geniuses who take themselves too seriously. I think.
Being insane and being a genius goes hand in hand more often than not.
". . . I really can't tell if they're insane or fucking geniuses. . ."
At a certain point, is there a difference?
People said the same about Sacha Baron Cohen when he started out. Just look at his genius. Incredible
I'm not curious about drugs anymore.
lol....
Lmaoo
LOL
I've done A LOT of drugs over the last 30+ years
and I'm more curious than ever
@@Cunomaglus same! I want to find out just how many things Americans can shove THC in to.
"Ja, what he said." ~ Best - response - ever!
2022 and still loving
Why is Die Antwoord really annoying at first, and then you start to love them. I don't get it. WHY AREN'T THEY BIGGER THAN THEY ARE?!?!?! They're the perfect group.
+John T. Campbell It's because they don't take themselves all that seriously. There's a lot of humor to their look and sound. You can't take shots at others without being willing to take shots at yourself, and they are very self deprecating. They both are also very sensitive and introspective.
they are big though. they're mainstream now. not a problem with that, but they're definitely not underground
That's a really dumb answer.
With substance comes attraction
That is exactly right
This is very entertaining. I love artists to have a sense of humor. Nice response Die Antwoord.
somehow, this was weirder than the actual video.
I'm actually onboard with these guys. I'm a metal head from the 80s, but I give them props, they are very creative. I haven't seen anything like it before. I wish them the best, seems they work pretty hard at being their own. I have to say though I'm not a fan rap but I can see the attraction to this. JMO
Me Too! Buddy I'm a pure metal head And when I found these guys for some reason I can't stop listening to them lol
Same. I am not a fan of rap. First heard about these guys through the Music Video Sins channel. I got curious and checked out the actual video MVS was critiquing and I couldn't stop watching. I have NEVER seen/heard anything like this before. Disturbing, disgusting, haunting, bizarre, profane, unbelievable. These videos are like a car crash. You just can't look away. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about their videos and music that fascinate me. I'm 55 by the way. Grew up on easy listening, and 70s AM radio, then 80s stuff. Nothing like Die Antwoord.
Same.
you still on board with themknowing what theydid today?....
@@joelleschuurman355 hell yeah
1:23 . I am in love with Yolandi
2:42 . Me too.
I am also in love with the black face as well!
I'm a 60 yo man from ohio, and I can't get enough of yolandi. Is that normal?
I think shes fucking repulsive
@@sab979 stfu. Literally no one asked, it wasn’t black face. Just shut up already, please. No one cares about you 😂
I don't know what's hotter: Yolandi in tight smiley face shorts or Yolandi in a Stay Puft shirt....
yolandi
galactic711 Without smiley shorts would be best!!! :-)
What do they do in real life be annoying idiots
StopMotion LPS like you.
galactic711 How about just Yolandi alltogether?
One of the most creative and entertaining bands in times of growing complains - just about anything - only to be noticed. Love those guys...keep it up straight!
they way how u anser to these. so CREATIVE !! I LOVE IT
LOVE FROM HOLLAND
I can't stop laughing at the comment about DJ Hi-tek, like it's supposed to be some sort of conspiracy theory. Some say DJ Hi-tek is actually a member of the Illuminati! lol
Nice try illuminati, we know you exist!
Ahh.. these guys are truly the best right now.
ikr C:
YOU'RE EVERYWHERE I AM JFC
they have always been the best
I listen to your nightcores all the time
Nymphetamine so true
They're so precious, and I still love them!
Die Antwoord continues to be one of the most progressive groups in hip-hop. Hip-hop needs to be taken into the context of the country originates it. Obviously, African-Americans are still oppressed. It's important to acknowledge that Die Antwoord is from South Africa where systematic oppression was even more pronounced with Apartheid than with systematic oppression in the U.S.A. such as the Prison Industrial Complex. Before commenting on someone's artistic creation, it's important to examine where the artist is coming from. The different forms and scenes for hip-hop throughout the world differ widely in beats, rhyming patterns (or lack thereof), fashion, and other aspects of hip-hop culture (i.e. graffiti, breakdancing, and dee-jays). As an American, I appreciate the musical appropriation of various American-bred styles across the world. It's something to be proud of and encourage rather than jump to criticism about. I think Ninja is one of the most real emcees in hip-hop by adopting a punk rock-influenced/IDGAF attitude towards the normalities of the genre. I can understand where many African-Americans are coming from in their views on the cultural appropriation of American hip-hop. As a white American that started listening to Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, and 2 Pac when I was 12, I was educated about the reality of what African-Americans were experiencing that nobody was talking about at my school. I remember seeing the L.A. riots on TV and the profound impact it had on my psyche. It later resulted in me becoming a punk rocker that became active with protests against things like the Prison Industrial Complex and the imprisonment of the political prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal. I went and saw the "conscious" rap group, Dead Prez, in D.C. at the 9:30 Club and remember them making negative comments about white people to the point where I could tell I was no longer welcome at the show. However, I did not let that deter me from supporting hip-hop and embracing new styles like trap despite not being able to relate to much of what was expressed lyrically. I'm not surprised that much of American hip-hop has become more infatuated with materialism and the worship of money due to simply growing up in poverty. As I did not come from poverty, I have no right to criticize the artists who choose to express that lyrically. Anyways, my main point is that it's important to observe that was is P.C. in one culture might not be in another... and while we have every right to disagree with viewpoints of certain artists, it's important to understand that they are coming from a different place environmentally and creatively than artists in other cultures. It's important to remain open-minded when it comes to understanding hip-hop around the world. I'm glad that groups like Die Antwoord exist if nothing less than to encourage people to think.
This is a great point of view. 🖤
@Derek Placeholder You're entitled to your opinion as is everyone. However, it made you contemplate the "concept of racism." Therefore, the idea that the "concept of racism" is being swept away is purely your perception. Thought provocation through controversy is beautiful. Attempting to "take away from" anybody's creative output based on the perception of a few is ugly. I say be loud, express yourself, and don't care about offending others. Rise out of bed with enthusiasm and excitement for the new day and the beauty the world holds rather than cower, be sedentary, and self-neglecting because of a fear of being judged. Stop judging, start listening, or change the station.
@D P don't waste your time tryna understand the sociopathic garbage...theyre trying hard to intellectualize insanity. Theyve always engaged in disgusting behavior while trying to say it's some how high art & enlightened🤢🤢🤢
So you’re saying it’s okay for a white women to dress up in traditional African clothing and paint her skin black while the black man is wearing a KKK outfit? Regardless, of where they are from…they should know better. This is not a way to make a statement
@@Thecandycorn0 I believe that generating controversy through imagery has and will continue to lead to meaningful conversations. Sometimes, if the radical context of art offends us, it helps us realize where we stand and helps us learn something about ourselves. If you look at the radical art of Judy Bari and the CalArts feminist movement, you understand how imagery that can be even described as "repulsive" is important to add to your perspective on the world. The more that people discourage others to apply freedom to the creative process, the blander our culture becomes...
I had some pretty nasty nightmares last night involving my asshole of an ex boyfriend. I was running from house to house, trying to get away from him, and when I finally found a door that was open, there was Yolandi saying, 'Ya wanna get high? Ya wanna get high?' I swear, I woke up laughing my ass off!! Best end to a nightmare EVER!
Best. Nightmare. EVER!!
Dat Circus LOL!
Holy fucking shit I had a similar dream last week. Ninja Yolandi and myself were all in onesies in a pool smoking a bong. Fuck it was the life. And then I had to wake up :(
Al Demon That sounds even better than my dream! LOL!
***** Just getting to meet them would be badass though, right?
Chappie, why did you do this to me? I'm addicted!
Same!!! I just think Yolandi is the cutest most badass woman! I can't look away or stop listening.... It's so intriguing!
KnowledgeNerd something about her is just so magnetic
Totally agree, John! :)
That's the weirdest shit ever exact same thing, I watched chappie now I have a strange celebrity crush on Yolandi.
Gtfo
Still watching your clips right now and stil love them. You have a different type of messages to tell the world, a type of messages that only few understand.I don't mean hidden lyrycs or stuff like that.Just the real message from every song is different. And everyone can understand what they want :-) Keep it up and thanks for creating such different clips. It shows you took some time thinking at them.
I will never stop listening. This is a life changing group of musicians!!! I would give up everything I have just to be able to chill and smoke . Thank you Die Antwood for everything you all do.

Yolandi may be incredibly creepy................... Wait no she isn't.. She's so adorable!!
She is cute. She really is. I know they are doing this all in a good fun. Some people lack sense of humour.
Factz
I’m really glad they cleared everything up with their responses

1:21 possibly the cutest thing I've seen in my life
To answer the question posed by Yolandi @ 1:21..........................................YES, YES I DO!!!!!!!!
Wanna get high?
This was an epic response. Honestly, I had never heard of you guys before until tonight while listening to In This moment. I saw a video of yours and had to listen. I was taken aback at first, but I liked it.
I'm ashamed to say I found them out through Chappie but I don't regret it the one bit.
Love all their work,

Rob Hill Doesnt mean your a vegan, carnist.
It's hard to understand them. They are from a different world. I'll give em that. But I thought this video was going to have some actual commentary in it.

this is such a trip after watching CHAPPiE

I found them before i saw Chappie, i like just watched it for the first time yesterday and after listing to as much of there music and seeing the video as i possibly could, it was weird asf.

@RichardWoods
HeY Richard, this is your reminder to listen to Die Antwood now your 68 ✨👽❤️
69 now 🌮🍆
Your comment didn't age well🤣🤣🤣🤣
At first when I saw these people, I was like "Are you fucking crazy?" Which.. well, that's a given anyway (we all are to some degree :P). This isn't my kind of music at ALL, but now the more I watch, I do have reasons to respect them. There's messages in their music that you have to THINK about. Not all of it is just senseless horse play, and they use eccentricity to get it across.
Love it or hate it, I do respect it. And I love their artistic style, even if to some people it just looks like a really bad LSD trip.
Misty Lunsford Their cause is a good one. It goes much deeper than Die Antwoord as well.
So true i fucking love the music and the messages they carry.
watch there interviews they're pretty serious about what they do
Andy M well I fucking hate the music
I loved this. And I love Die Antwoord even more.
Love your music can't wait till you visit.
3:03
I just found out about this artist and that pretty much sums up how I felt their music style. I watched one video of thier didn't like the sound to much but the videos art is was got hooked.
1:21 "Wanna Gee Highh" LOL
I LOVE THESE VIDS
You guys are awesome.... keep it up!!
1:22 I'm in stitches lol
I don't wanna be stuck in a room with these two.
+Emily I WANT to be stuck in a room with these two.
+Matoko Onodera Me too
They're actually really nice people. They put on the thug persona for music.
I do.
Emily Plum id like to be stuck with both of them
Love these artists!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Everything that was new and seemed to hurt what we once thought was normal has turned into the next best thing and this band is no exception. Die Antwoord is what it is now . I love this cutting edge and it tastes much better than that other crap that came before it.
@ 53 yrs of age I dig their style I find time to enjoy their music a couple of times a week 5 or 6 of there songs I hope they continue specially if they're pissin off the people that piss me off. what goes round comes round
DJ Hi-tek is a prawn star... confirmed !

Your'e a lonely person?

Grew up on hip hop since the early 80s. These kids is legit!
I.. Love.... DIE ANTWORD!!
I really tried to hate Die Antwoord, but this is art. Hope they don't sell out.
Savi Dixon ikr? I mean, I just suddenly got into them after trying not to and then... well... this happened.
The members of DieAntwoord have awesome humors. 👍 This is an awesome video.
A year later, come back to this to show it to some friends....
Thought to myself, "Man, what was it about this that I wanted to point out as the joke that they haven't already seen in other Die Antwoord posts?"
....then there it is 2:40 , "Tight tight tight!....circle-rub....."
...goddamn it, I can't not keep lovin' this group, eh?
Haha! This was great! I LOVE Yolandi's cute weirdness!
Tight! Tight! Tight!
I am a fan and Die Antwoord is a puzzlebox. The kind of I am not sure if I ever had the courage to even try and open. Love your music!
At first i watched the music videos and thought Die Antwoord was fucking weird and creepy as shit then i read lyrics to a lot of their songs and started understanding what they were truly saying
Love them from day one, her voice ninjas rap the dj beats, love them in chappie thats how i became a big fan ,good health to them.
I recognized you guys from District 9 didn't know you made such crazy and great music keep up the good work you guys kick ass
Yolandi voice 😍
Well, that cleared absolutely nothing up
LOVE THEIR MUSIC THEIR MOVIE TOO.
I WILL NEVER EVER STOP LOVING DIE ANTWORD. Please can you both adopt me. 🥺😯
That has to be the most original Q&A I have ever seen.
1:21 ... of course, Yo-landi just wanna get high. :D
One of the greatest songs I have heard. When you have " idol " advertisements kicking you in the head every few minutes with their generic disgusting warbling a band like Die Antwoord comes along and revives your faith in people. A new concept and a very nice swipe at the generic rap that insults our ears on a daily basis to sell a certain product. Ninja and Yo-landi are a very earned breath of fresh air.
i think they are so great together two people that were meant to be.
Kings!!! will they ever come to Greece?? i wanna see them live SOOOOO badly 😭👑❤️
I personally enjoyed the shit out of the video, it's entertaining and interesting as fuck. I hate lady gaga so i reeally enjoyed the shit out of the music video.
2:15 ROFL His voice & reading that sounds perfectly sarcastic! :P
And Ninja's shirt at 2:59... The American version of The Girl w the Dragon Tattoo has Lisbeth Salander wearing that in the middle of the movie. But when did that shirt actually finally come out? Thx!
didnt know what to think when i first heard them but i love them no doubt
This is sooo great!! I discovered Die Antwoord this night and I'm already completely into them. Why did they disband?
I have several questions...
When I first heard them when I was around 16, I thought they were horrible (because I was listening to shitty artists). Now I'm 21, and listen to good shit.
Can't wait to see them on October 11th. ❤️
i'm seeing them on the same day !!
These two be awesome!
@BenitoAudio You are my hero syr!! THX for posting that comment^^ 2:40
Some say it's impossible for him to wear socks, and he can open a beer bottle with his testes! All we know is, he's called DJ Hi-Tek.
I can't say I'm in love but she is not really like this she is playing a character
All I have to say badass love you guys ..waits for more vids.peace
Love them. ..i totally understand them... remind me of tik koppe back home where i used to score..where i also used to kap necks and sprinkle the cremora(buttons)
01:20 is my favourite part :)
i like the part where he talks about prawns and hiw u get em😂
Same! I had to replay that part. 😂
this tune is still strong in 2021...
I'm 70 my first concert was jimi Hendrix, these guys are awesome, I'm glad I lived to see them!
oh yeah love this. Keeps me sane
I love them and lady gaga' and I still thought this was a great song and video. All the Gaga fans who are getting All pissed over it just need to get a since of humor.
I love you guys!
Fatty boom boom is by far one of my fav songs/videos by them!!
HAHAHAHHA they're crazy
2:40 I want Yolandi to do a workout video, where she says this...
uhm okay
They are amazing
I feel so left out, just started listening to these guys last year. The most creative Beats yet
