nice MacGyvering, Sean. that's a great set up! from my offroading years, i have quite a collection of RAM mounts bases, arms, and attachment points. I too started w/ their cupholder base w/ 1" ball in the in dash cupholder, but then i went a different way... i've attached two 12" RAM tough tracks, one on the dashboard, just behind the entertainment unit screen, and the other on the driver's a pillar. my wife always makes fun of how my jeep and now the revel look like airplane cockpits. well, being the smartass that i am, i just ordered a five toggle LED switch panel that is based on airline/NASA style rockers w/ guard bars. this will be a slightly more fun way of doing my pre-checks than the post-it note i currently have on the steering wheel (make sure windows are latched and shades are up, bathroom door is locked, kitchen counter items are stowed in the sink, cabinet doors are securely closed, fridge door is locked)! anywho - keep up the great adventures and vids, we love them!

That's awesome. I have Ram mounts all throughout my van. Came up with a simple option to have my tablet mounted for when we're in bed using one of their 1" ball screw plate adapters. I thought about adding a rail up there on the dash, but didn't have the schematics and wasn't sure of the best way to apply backing. I have my Garmin Overlander on a Ram ball secured to my driver-side grab bar. Getting closer to the airplane cockpit lol.

I just picked up my first ram mount yesterday. In a happy coincidence I did use one of the cup holders and started to build a simple setup. But I like your build better and will definitely be following your setup. Great work!
