I never understand why people want business users to build automation tests.. their job is to come up with business requirements and ensure those requirements are implemented. but to implement them we have developers and to test if that implementation is right we have testers.. business have their own user acceptance testing before go-live.. but this confusion and unwanted desire to make business users automate.. that too business users not saying they want to automate..but testers themselves trying to create no-code tools for the biz to build automation is leading us no where and seriously stalling innovation.. is it not more organic for an automation tester to automate by understanding the business requirements? So there is no need for these no code tools.. instead we can have better automation tools like selenium, playwright, or some other with different kind of innovation that can reduce the effort to automate and maintain the test suite??
@@hse13166 I believe a lot of your comments are generalized and the fact that you consider that this is "difficult", proves the results we have achieved are amazing. You are questioning the very essence of innovation behind tools like Tosca, Katalon, Ranorex, Test Complete etc. But I can tell you when Testers and Customer Journey Experts create and execute Business Driven Tests together, it shows the power of empowerment 😊
May I ask ...why someone needs Java for UI and API Testing when he/she works on webapps? Any script language like TS, JS even Python is better choice
Good question - I think his company uses Java so that’s what he started with I’m guessing
Can i get git example of playwright bdd implementation? I want to try it in my project
I can ask Ahisih but their documentation is pretty good on this ing-bank.github.io/ingenious-doc/bdd/
