Idk why everyone chalks everything up to nostogia. Maybe older games were just better compared to the stagnant modern market of monetization and hyper realism.
@@mileenaliciouss exactly. Ive been disappointed by modern games recently and have been spending about a year playing games from as recent as a 3ds to nes and i can say theyre definitely still quality, even when ive never played the games before
@@PkmnMasterNeb oh yea, ghost of hotei is looking really good and id love to play it, the combat of tsushima was really good and the story was great so its not like all modern games suck.
Nostalgia absolutely plays a factor into some choices, like when someone says their favorite game is something from the 1990s or 1980s (unless it's specifically for its narrative but its usually a Zelda, Mario, some old beat em up, etc. which is absolutely a nostalgia pick). That being said they took a lot more risks back then, especially with their stories, and that's why a lot of current games don't seem great by comparison when their narratives are usually too safe. Mechanically however games are far better today than from the past.
Regarding the SNES Mini, you can get an adaptor for it from 8-bitdo. It plugs into the controller port and let's it connect to the 8-bitdo SNES controller that you already have, as well as pretty much any other Bluetooth controller. I have one and it works amazingly well.
I cant completely agree on favorite games and systems only reason being nostalgia. For example, some of my favorite games of all time are sly cooper 2, sonic adventure 2, zelda wind waker etc. Those were all from my childhood. Just in the past 2 years though, ive played the original resident evil 4, metal gear solid 1 2 and 3, silent hill 1 2 and 3 and despite all these games being old, i have no nostalgia gor these games and they are up there with my most favorite games. Im really burnt out on how most modern games are designed, played a lot of them, most of them give you this lukewarm feeling of complacency. Older games generally dont do that for me, it isnt just nostalgia, there was more passion and soul put into games back then
I love seeing humble game collections, I'd recommend the jak and daxter games for your PS2 collection, can't wait for the next part
I will be getting those for sure! I actually haven’t played them yet, also sly cooper.

To me, they definitely are. No nostalgia involved-most of them are just better.

I agree. Modern games usually are just remakes, basically just a movie with button inputs, or both. There’s still some good stuff today of course.

Really enjoying listening to your game videos while I draw.
Glad your enjoying the vids, love your art BTW. I actually used to draw a bit myself.
We all have to start somewhere. 👊
Games from 90s and 2000s > modern games

Yoooo you gotta try battle bots for the gameboy advanced. One of childhood favorites
Will do!
Very nice video! Thank you! Loved your CRT one too. How did you capture your PS2 gameplay footage if I may ask?
Probably a capture card. Or from a different source.
That’s actually just emulator footage captured from my pc.
Good channel
