The Thing i learned from this Clip is "Never Give Up". * He didn't give up when they keep on rejecting him cause of Lack of Experience. *He didn't give up when he was getting last places in Olympia & those European tours. People say Genetics, Hard Work, Drugs made him Mr.Olympia. I think it's the Mindest of "Not Giving UP" made him Mr.Olympia.
Funniest thing I remember at his seminar here in NZ, was when he was talking about how he takes 3 months off after the Mr O to let everything heal. A couple of young smartass guys in the audience (who were snickering) said 'do you recommend that for us?' Ronnie said 'recommend what', they said 'recommend we take 3 weeks off after a competition, then Ronnie smiling answered them saying 'no no I'm talking about the big time, the pros, you ain't made it there yet - you go ahead and take a week off!'
Met him twice over the years when he came to New Zealand. So good to and appreciative of his fans. I remember he had been going for over 4 hours in a seminar late into the night and was still signing autographs late at night until everyone had been through.
@@dio4522 but you also gotta think Dorian trained hard but he trained smart he went past the extreme but Ronnie did more. Ronnie had surgery then proceeded to squat and put his body through more and more.
@@kingdavidd6480 also Ronnie was a powerlifter and that’s where a lot of his injuries came from initially. They just never got better due to his intense training in bodybuilding. He had more of an extreme power builder style of training.
I’m a fan of Ronnie but it still surprises me that a guy who doesn’t seem to find communication and expressing his opinion very easy ever worked as a writer/editor and policeman
Everybody looking for experience.... Ronnie things have not even changed today rather instead it has even become worst. I thought that things were more easier in your days but I hearing you have only made me to know that the world has only got worse.
1. He was a pro. He had a prescription. 2. Cops don’t go around busting people for steroids, it’s a victimless crime, you can take it but not sell it to others
He was literally a pro bodybuilder, taking steroids is a victimless crime. It’s one of those laws that isn’t really enforced unless you’re selling to minors
I've never understood the appeal of being a police officer. You don't get paid a lot. I guess its an ego booster and you get to treat people however you want break the law kill people drive dangerously grope women and get away with it. Extorting the public for the state like an occupying force must be a thrill.
Policing is not for everyone, but it's an essential profession that is enjoyable to those who are built for it. There are plenty of good cops who do it for constructive reasons and there are plenty of bad cops of course. With your negative outlook it's not likely you are happy or satisfied with whatever you do for a living. Pay for police officers varies and it's pretty decent money for a large percentage of them, and it is common for many of them to make relatively high incomes when they work a lot of extra hours.
Ronnie Coleman. Legend. No one else will do what he did inside and outside competing in bodybuilding!

I feel so bad for him he put his body, blood, sweat into bodybuilding that’s what made him a legend but he sacrificed his body
yeah his body is destroyed now which is interesting considering that you have dy who trained just as hard, maybe even harder and is fine to this day

One thing that isn't obvious with RC is he has the dogged determination on a Lion... Respect where it is due.

He never wanted to be a police officer. He tried to get an accounting job for 2 years and failed. I can’t live off of delivering pizza and newspapers.
