  • The PANATHENAIC STADIUM is one of the MAIN HISTORIC ATTRACTIONS here in ATHENS, GREECE. It is known for hosting the 1st modern Olympics in 1896, the opening and closing ceremony and some games in the 2004 Olympics as well as the 2011 Summer Olympic Games.
    It is the first and the only of its kind, made entirely out of marble. It truly is a must see and comes in almost at the very top of my list of THINGS TO DO & PLACES TO SEE IN ATHENS, GREECE
