Amazing video...do we know what copedant/tuning he used for the other neck? I read somewhere he used a basic dobro tuning, but not sure if that's correct. I'm definitely getting a Fender 1000 next! Love my Sho-Bud but this sound is unmatched.
Thanks for watching! I don't know what he had on his other fender neck. He played A6 early on, so it might have been that. But he actually called his E9 tuning A6, because that's what it was with the pedals down. Once he switched to Sho bud, you're right, it was a G Dobro tuning.
Hey Sebastian! They have the ability to do two pulls each, but Moon just set his up with one each. It makes the pulls a lot easier and it eliminates a lot of the stress on the high G# string. And it lets you have a lot more freedom in the way I was showing in the video. It's not the best set-up for everyone, but I like it!
This was great! Solved the mystery of Rainy Day woman for me as I sit here at my D10 PSG.
Great to hear!
Very educational. I learned a lot about Mooneys playing and his unique copedant ! thanks
Thanks for checking it out!
Love Moon. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for digging into this and sharing !
My pleasure! I love him, too!
This info is gold, Ethan. Thanks for all you're doing for keeping Moon's classic sound alive. I love his dancing on the pedals approach.
Me too, and my pleasure!
I really appreciate this info Bro. Shaw!

Great stuff! Be good to have a split screen showing your pedal work on the lower third or so of the screen while you're playing.
This was great!
Thank you!
