Yeah, being an angel means everything for Aziraphale. You could tell, bc when after stopping armageddon and he no longer could report to heaven anymore about his good deeds, he reported, or more accurate, told Crowley about them instead. I think he's projecting his feelings about being an angel on Crowley, and can't see that Crowley don't feel the same way. Its all very upsetting... I need season 3 now. 😭
Poor Crowley isn't seen by Aziraphale for who he _IS_ but for who he _was_ Crowley lives in the moment, while Aziraphale lives in the past, which - apart from indoctrination and brainwashing - is one of the reasons he can't let go of heaven. Being thrown out of a cult is something completely different than having to break the thinking and leaving on your own.
Crowley shows NO REMORSE to God, and isn't entitled to Salvation. He also shows no loyalty to The Damned. He rebels everything except his own selfish agenda. Much like Lucifer. Satanists don't worship Lucifer and evil. They worship THEMSELVES. He loves himself more than he loves Aziraphale. He is heartbreaking.
You can see how much Crowley has changed from the angel he was, turning from a sunny and idealistic Dominion to bitter and sarcastic Tempter. They're like two different people, but there's one thing that connected the two of them and that's their love for life.
I don’t think they act like two different people, more so they have different experiences. While Crowley is much more bitter as a demon, he still does the right thing (not the kind thing, or the nice thing, the *right* thing). Crowley as an angel simply wasn’t aware of how the system worked yet.
I saw a comment somewhere about Crowley just being a dick and only cared about learning the names of the other angels who could help him climb the ladder of sucess in Heaven. hence why he ignore Aziraphale in heaven when he introduced himself. 😂 I feel like its a possibility why he don't remember any names lol. But he could have had his memory wiped, but like just the part that remembers faces and names. He can still remember certain events and such that happend in heaven. 🤔 These are just fan theories of mine ofc. 😅
His talk with "Jim" hints that it could be gaps in his memory, which makes more sense to me TBH. He hides it a lot from others but the Fall was definitely a traumatic experience for him, the mental scars never left him.
@@oOZewyOo I rather got the vibe that angel Crowley was this "angelic scientist", who saw nothing but his work, and wasn't interested in anything or anyone else. His co-workers were just sort of "talking heads" to him and he didn't feel any need to learn their names or try to form any relationships with them. Unless maybe a few select ones, who were on his level regarding intelligence and dedication to star-making. We see this attitude when he met Aziraphale. He just saw him as a helpful pair of hands, and maybe some kind of audience to admire his handiwork. But he didn't seem to be interested in Aziraphale as a person, barely listened to his introduction, and didn't even bother to introduce himself.
And the bell tolling as he says those words, foreshadowing the death of him as an Angel. It is horribly prophetic as we know what is going to happen. This bit actually makes my eyes fill with tears for Crowley when all he did was doubt God and ask questions.😭
There's the theory going around that Crowley was Raphael, the most powerful archangel, but Muriel says dominion or throne. My guess is Crowley was wiped, that why he can't remember.

I so hope they explore his backstory more in season 3 (which yes, I am talking about in absolute cause I refuse to think anything but the certainty of it happening) Crowley is so freaking intelligent, and I think that is the whole reason he got casted out. A high AF ranking, his questioning nature and intelligence to boost? way too dangerous With the glimpses we got of him in heaven, a big unexplored bit of lore got opened, and I so want more of it

@@oOZewyOo they needed a justification. It wasn't like they could just cast an angel they didn't like just like that (if it were that easy, our boi Aziraphale would have looooong fallen). Crowley has said he hung out with the wrong people, so I wouldn't be all that surprised if he wasn't like actively battling, but just finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, which was basis enough for his trial (or whatever it was that happened) I also want to know Crowley's angel name tbh.... Is he really like that? Tbh I'm not /part/ of the fandom, so I've just heard bits on his very close involvement with the community so I wouldn't know. I do heard he would publish s3 as a book if everything goes wrong. That's kind of a reassurance

He kept saying he likes aziraphale in it. Even tho his memories are gone, i feel like there's some truth in those words. Anyway. It is actually mentioned in the tv show that Crowley is part of the war. When talking in season 2 w furfur after Aziraphale's performance at the theatre, they mention furfur and crowley going into battle together, and crowley confirms this by saying he remembers the war, just not being their with furfur. Then again, it could be like you said that he somehow just found himself walking the battlefield dragged into a war he wasn't really interested in. 😂😂😂 Well. He loves getting his fans to use their brain and stuff like that, to give them inspiration, so it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he left the angelic name of crowley a mystery. So yeah, I do think it had to do with the amnesia... BUT his change in marital status should have changed that. 7:30 EVERYTIME I see this moment its makes me laugh _hysterically_ but in a sad way. Everything in those few seconds of raw emotional breakdown are fucking heart wrenching : The drunkenness and the way he speaks out loud as he does not care about anything anymore, having lost the _only_ thing that was dear to him. The way he looks around only to see that no one is here to listen and care about him anymore as he's trying to unveil his biggest traumas and fears. The stutter and the cracking voice, what gets me the most because it feels like he's struggling to acknowledge what he's saying, not wanting to confess that deep down he is feeling uttely miserable about his past and the way he's been treated and is still being treated. The deep, _DEEP_ untold feelings of utter despair, betrayal, shame, hopelessness, and self-loathing as well as the loathing he tightly holds for both the Up and the Down.
Evil people (or angels) always hurt us through what we love. Metatron manipulated Aziraphale into making this offer to Crowley, with a little flattery, appealing to his love for others, and leaning on his low self-esteem/need for approval. He foresaw how Crowley would react, and how hurt Aziraphale would be by Crowley's refusal when Az thought he'd negotiated way to serve his life's purpose (serving God/humanity) AND having Crowley. No need for any silly theories to excuse or explain Az's behavior.
And then Aziraphsle has to go thru with it after the Metstron mentions the second coming. It seemed he might change his mind until then. Now he has to deal with controlling the second coming.
The two cutest S2 Aziraphale moments are when he thinks he's a demon (I shouldn't laugh at his tears but he's soooo earnest and adorable) and when he says "But it's pretty!" about the yellow car.
Has anyone noticed at minute 6:36 when Crowley talks to God he tells Him that he knows that he is testing them (humans) and right after that he says: you are supposed to be testing me... By the way, excellent compilation

NG's tumblr confirmed they darkened his wings ever so slightly on purpose, if you go watch the actual full scene again, at the end when they're floating next to each other in space and Crowley shelters Aziraphale under his wing, you can see it a little better. It's subtle but the difference is there. It's the doubt creeping in (Doubt that Aziraphale inadvertently caused which is just so incredibly interesting and I am definitely not screaming internally about the implications).
What I’m becoming more and more convinced of is that Crowley is no demon. I think he’s some sort of demon/archangel hybrid, because NO other demons have the kind of powers that he does…Angels either.
Yes, I am also thinking along the same lines - in Season 1, "God" (the narrator) says about him that unlike any other demon, Crowley has imagination. He is definitely "special" - even from the beginning, when he was an angel, he had questions, he had ideas, he had plans of his own, in short he is an individual, with his own personality, wishes hopes and dreams. All the other angels like Azi were just servants, never questioning anything. I believe either "God" made him different or some cosmic accident happened. I tend to believe the first because in short I believe in the unfailability of the Great Plan.
I don't know but it seems like to me they want Crowley back in Heaven and is sneakily trying to use Aziraphale to do it. I never noticed that Heaven let Crowley keep his crank, he used to start the universe in Heaven I noticed he still has it as a demon when his car blows up it falls on the ground he even uses it to talk to Adam privately with Aziraphale. They hounded Aziraphale about that flaming sword but never once tried to take that crank from Crowley, why not?
First scene and opening the secure book show that Crowley was The Admin , Everyone remembers him but they were just one of many users to him. He pushed the button that actually started everything, he knew technical details but not the business plan, asked about the plan and got sacked but years later still knew the admin password.
Tenant’s acting is always remarkably propelled by finding whatever that character has a deep DEEP well of and shading every emotion, line, or expression with whatever is in that well. Crowley has a deep, deep well of bitterness. So every moment has shades of that bitterness- except the first scene of season two. Because it the only time we see the as-yet-to-be-named-Angel without the bitterness yet because its cause hasn’t happened. Maybe in season three will see the implied scene, and that’ll be marvelous to watch.
He is happy as Bildad the Shuite because he has figured out how to operate outside of hell. He can fool hell and develop a closer relationship with Aziraphale. He smiles as Bildad. While he is still sad, he has found a bit of joy with Aziraphale.
When he is Bildad, he finds a bit of joy as he and Aziraphale get closer. He does smile more and has learned how to survive outside of heaven and hell. Aziraphale believes in him and gives him hope.

Satan is the name Lucifer has after his fall. According to the Christian hierarchy of angels at the link given above, the Cherubim were in the second highest rank of angels. In the first rank of angels were the Seraphim. In Hebrew, the word saraph means "burning", and is used seven times throughout the text of the Hebrew Bible as a noun, usually to denote "serpent", twice in the Book of Numbers, once in the Book of Deuteronomy, and four times in the Book of Isaiah. The word seraphim, plural of saraph, occurs in both Numbers and Isaiah, but only in Isaiah is it used to denote an angelic being; likewise, these angels are referred to only as the plural seraphim - Isaiah later uses the singular saraph to describe a "fiery flying serpent", in line with the other uses of the term throughout the Tanakh. In other words, Metatron is the brains behind the Plan for creation, and Crowley was one of the high ranking angels responsible for executing the Plan. Perhaps he just openly questioned the Plan which caused some lower ranking angels to question the Plan, which snowballed into a rebellion. He found out what harm just asking the question would do. Since it seems to be a major goal of Crowley to prevent the final war between the demons and angels, which will result in the end of the current creation, the creation that he executed in the beginning, could it be that Crowley has been manipulating everything from the beginning when Aziraphale told him that the Plan was to end the creation in about 6000 years in order to prevent the destruction of his creation? In other words, if Crowley is the true mastermind behind the angelic rebellion, and is thwarting both the demons and angels from having their final war that would end his creation, perhaps he is the Prince of Heaven to which Metatron referred. Moreover, Metatron knows all of this, and his offer through Aziraphale to Crowley, is one last attempt to get Crowley back on board with the Plan, knowing full well that if Crowley refuses, then Crowley will have to then scheme against his beloved Aziraphale in order to thwart the Plan since Aziraphale is now in charge of executing the Plan.

Bear with me, but it’s possible that Crowley is Raphael, one of the original seven Archangels. We never see him mentioned and it would explain his power and clearances. Plus Raphael is known for guiding people on their journeys kind of like Crowley does…. A lot. Remember his endeavor in matchmaking or his ENTIRE relationship with Aziraphale?
I think Crowley is Lucifer, the Morning Star, prince of Hell. He was very high ranking in hell -hence the access to Gabriel's file- and the Metatron says that for one prince to be cast out is a story but to cast two down (Gabriel) would signal a systemic problem. Crowley loves the stars and his independence and habit to question God are his main trait. And, just like Milton's Lucifer, he'd rather be independent than kneel in Heaven.

"One fallen prince of heaven makes for a good story..." My take is this is crowley, obviously renamed. Crowley was that prince, that high up, and he is feigning memory loss (untreated severe PTSD is my diagnosis). Says he doesn't remember, but surprisingly does when drunk and knows his way around once there.
In the scene where Crowley is in Heaven with Muriel, she says only some of at least the rank of a Throne or Dominion can open the book. Thrones are the third highest rank of angels; they are the living symbols of God’s justice and authority. Listening to the Will of God, they present the prayers of human beings to Him (or in this case, Her). Dominions are the fourth highest ranks of angels, and they oversee the lower ranks of angels. (The internet is a wonderful source for all sorts of information!😀)
It still makes me laugh when Uriel says "Your boyfriend in the dark glasses" Everyone else can see it except them! 😂😂 My head canon is that the Angels and Demons are bored and needing a little excitement in their lives and there are Demons and Angels running books, taking bets on whether Azi and Crowley are a couple! Can you imagine A and C's reaction if this is canon and they find out? 😂😂
In another post I posit that Crowley is the very very high arch angel Raphael. This is a beloved angel in Judeo-Christian canon. Raphael is not a fallen angel. So, where Raphael in the show so far? Nowhere because, possibly, Crowley is Raphael. He doesn;t remember. He is lost. I believe the Metatron was behind his being cast out. The Metatron continues to mess with him becasue Crowley remains powerful. Aziraphale now in Heaven with more power will find out what really happened. Ultimately , Crowley be restored to his vaunted status. That is why Raphael goes down in history as not fallen.
I don't think Crowley should go back to heaven. Being told he is forgiven is like a slap in the face now. It would be great if he could ask questions, but he should stay on earth and keep his free will.

It's so obvious how Crowley fell. And I think it was intentional to prevent this crap. Crowley was CLOSE to the creator. Worked beside God. And said he was gonna ask questions 😅. I agree that Crowley is someone of importance. Definitely a Dominion or a Throne. However, I don't think he's actually Lucifer because he talks about hanging out with Lucifer for just one moment and ended up with the wrong crowd. So I don't think he was the prince that was sent to hell but definitely a very powerful angel and if you don't know this bit of lore: thrones are the highest level followed by dominions then archangels so he was definitely more powerful than even Gabriel.
When they are casting Gabriel out of his position in Heaven he thinks they'll banish him to Hell and the Metatron says to cast one prince to Hell makes for good talk they are referring to Crowley.
sadly it doesn't... If you refer to Crowley being Lucifer? Cause we actually saw Lucifer and Crowley together in frame in episode 6 of season 1. so.. unless he can be in 2 places at once. Am I the only who finds it a bit odd that none of the archangels (or angels in general) seem to recognize the Metatron from sheer sight eventhough Uriel, Michael, etc. had met the Metatron just a view days ago and TALKED to him? And the angel in the wheelchair( sorry I always forget her name) recognizes Crowley immediately in Heaven eventhough they haven’t seen each other for presumably thousands of years but he doesn’t remember her? Reminds me of that scene in the 1940 where Furfur encounters Crowley, remembering a moment when they fought TOGETHER in Heaven during the rebellion but Crowley doesn’t remember him? Yet at the same token, these people seem to be also good at memorizing things like what Gabriel had said to Job or Az and Crowley remembering Wee Morag. So what’s up with angels / demons and their memories? Is it on purpose or did the makers overlooked it? (I could image that it is on purpose but it still seems so weird. Hope this gets a bit explained in S2).

Yeah, being an angel means everything for Aziraphale. You could tell, bc when after stopping armageddon and he no longer could report to heaven anymore about his good deeds, he reported, or more accurate, told Crowley about them instead. I think he's projecting his feelings about being an angel on Crowley, and can't see that Crowley don't feel the same way.

Crowley lives in the moment, while Aziraphale lives in the past, which - apart from indoctrination and brainwashing - is one of the reasons he can't let go of heaven. Being thrown out of a cult is something completely different than having to break the thinking and leaving on your own.
Crowley shows NO REMORSE to God, and isn't entitled to Salvation. He also shows no loyalty to The Damned. He rebels everything except his own selfish agenda. Much like Lucifer. Satanists don't worship Lucifer and evil. They worship THEMSELVES. He loves himself more than he loves Aziraphale. He is heartbreaking.
You can see how much Crowley has changed from the angel he was, turning from a sunny and idealistic Dominion to bitter and sarcastic Tempter. They're like two different people, but there's one thing that connected the two of them and that's their love for life.
I don’t think they act like two different people, more so they have different experiences. While Crowley is much more bitter as a demon, he still does the right thing (not the kind thing, or the nice thing, the *right* thing). Crowley as an angel simply wasn’t aware of how the system worked yet.

I saw a comment somewhere about Crowley just being a dick and only cared about learning the names of the other angels who could help him climb the ladder of sucess in Heaven. hence why he ignore Aziraphale in heaven when he introduced himself. 😂 I feel like its a possibility why he don't remember any names lol. But he could have had his memory wiped, but like just the part that remembers faces and names. He can still remember certain events and such that happend in heaven. 🤔

His talk with "Jim" hints that it could be gaps in his memory, which makes more sense to me TBH. He hides it a lot from others but the Fall was definitely a traumatic experience for him, the mental scars never left him.

@@oOZewyOo I rather got the vibe that angel Crowley was this "angelic scientist", who saw nothing but his work, and wasn't interested in anything or anyone else. His co-workers were just sort of "talking heads" to him and he didn't feel any need to learn their names or try to form any relationships with them. Unless maybe a few select ones, who were on his level regarding intelligence and dedication to star-making.
We see this attitude when he met Aziraphale. He just saw him as a helpful pair of hands, and maybe some kind of audience to admire his handiwork. But he didn't seem to be interested in Aziraphale as a person, barely listened to his introduction, and didn't even bother to introduce himself.

Crowley has said he hung out with the wrong people, so I wouldn't be all that surprised if he wasn't like actively battling, but just finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, which was basis enough for his trial (or whatever it was that happened)

It is actually mentioned in the tv show that Crowley is part of the war. When talking in season 2 w furfur after Aziraphale's performance at the theatre, they mention furfur and crowley going into battle together, and crowley confirms this by saying he remembers the war, just not being their with furfur. Then again, it could be like you said that he somehow just found himself walking the battlefield dragged into a war he wasn't really interested in. 😂😂😂

Gabriel was the one who hated him most, followed by Michael. So yeah, I do think it had to do with the amnesia... BUT his change in marital status should have changed that. At the very least, he understands now what is it like to have your other half being a demon, and why being so upright with the rules isn't all that important (still I do not want the ineffable husbands to mingle with bureaucracy any more. I feel that might be a little something they could put in S3, but I still don't trust any of them so no thanks).

Everything in those few seconds of raw emotional breakdown are fucking heart wrenching :
The drunkenness and the way he speaks out loud as he does not care about anything anymore, having lost the _only_ thing that was dear to him.

The stutter and the cracking voice, what gets me the most because it feels like he's struggling to acknowledge what he's saying, not wanting to confess that deep down he is feeling uttely miserable about his past and the way he's been treated and is still being treated.
The deep, _DEEP_ untold feelings of utter despair, betrayal, shame, hopelessness, and self-loathing as well as the loathing he tightly holds for both the Up and the Down.

Evil people (or angels) always hurt us through what we love. Metatron manipulated Aziraphale into making this offer to Crowley, with a little flattery, appealing to his love for others, and leaning on his low self-esteem/need for approval. He foresaw how Crowley would react, and how hurt Aziraphale would be by Crowley's refusal when Az thought he'd negotiated way to serve his life's purpose (serving God/humanity) AND having Crowley. No need for any silly theories to excuse or explain Az's behavior.
And then Aziraphsle has to go thru with it after the Metstron mentions the second coming. It seemed he might change his mind until then. Now he has to deal with controlling the second coming.
The two cutest S2 Aziraphale moments are when he thinks he's a demon (I shouldn't laugh at his tears but he's soooo earnest and adorable) and when he says "But it's pretty!" about the yellow car.

NG's tumblr confirmed they darkened his wings ever so slightly on purpose, if you go watch the actual full scene again, at the end when they're floating next to each other in space and Crowley shelters Aziraphale under his wing, you can see it a little better. It's subtle but the difference is there. It's the doubt creeping in (Doubt that Aziraphale inadvertently caused which is just so incredibly interesting and I am definitely not screaming internally about the implications).
What I’m becoming more and more convinced of is that Crowley is no demon. I think he’s some sort of demon/archangel hybrid, because NO other demons have the kind of powers that he does…Angels either.
Yes, I am also thinking along the same lines - in Season 1, "God" (the narrator) says about him that unlike any other demon, Crowley has imagination. He is definitely "special" - even from the beginning, when he was an angel, he had questions, he had ideas, he had plans of his own, in short he is an individual, with his own personality, wishes hopes and dreams. All the other angels like Azi were just servants, never questioning anything. I believe either "God" made him different or some cosmic accident happened. I tend to believe the first because in short I believe in the unfailability of the Great Plan.

They hounded Aziraphale about that flaming sword but never once tried to take that crank from Crowley, why not?

Tenant’s acting is always remarkably propelled by finding whatever that character has a deep DEEP well of and shading every emotion, line, or expression with whatever is in that well. Crowley has a deep, deep well of bitterness. So every moment has shades of that bitterness- except the first scene of season two. Because it the only time we see the as-yet-to-be-named-Angel without the bitterness yet because its cause hasn’t happened. Maybe in season three will see the implied scene, and that’ll be marvelous to watch.
He is happy as Bildad the Shuite because he has figured out how to operate outside of hell. He can fool hell and develop a closer relationship with Aziraphale. He smiles as Bildad. While he is still sad, he has found a bit of joy with Aziraphale.
When he is Bildad, he finds a bit of joy as he and Aziraphale get closer. He does smile more and has learned how to survive outside of heaven and hell. Aziraphale believes in him and gives him hope.

Lucifer was a member of the Cherubim class of angels according to the Bible. Satan is the name Lucifer has after his fall.
According to the Christian hierarchy of angels at the link given above, the Cherubim were in the second highest rank of angels. In the first rank of angels were the Seraphim.
In Hebrew, the word saraph means "burning", and is used seven times throughout the text of the Hebrew Bible as a noun, usually to denote "serpent", twice in the Book of Numbers, once in the Book of Deuteronomy, and four times in the Book of Isaiah. The word seraphim, plural of saraph, occurs in both Numbers and Isaiah, but only in Isaiah is it used to denote an angelic being; likewise, these angels are referred to only as the plural seraphim - Isaiah later uses the singular saraph to describe a "fiery flying serpent", in line with the other uses of the term throughout the Tanakh.
Note how Crowley is associated with fire in Good Omens. Note that he must have been in the rank of Dominions or higher to have had access to Gabriel's file. Note that Crowley, rather than Lucifer/Satan, was shown to be the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Note how Crowley never seems to be worried about Satan punishing him for not following Hell's rules for demons. Note that Crowley states that although he was not the concept designer for creation himself, he worked closely with upstairs on it. Who is in charge of the concept design? That would be Metatron. The Zohar describes Metatron as the "King of the angels." This corresponds closely with Maimonides' description of the Talmudic "Prince of the World," traditionally associated with Metatron, as the core "Active Intellect." In other words, Metatron is the brains behind the Plan for creation, and Crowley was one of the high ranking angels responsible for executing the Plan.
Taken together, these facts provide rather strong evidence that Crowley was in the highest rank of angels, the Seraphim, before the fall, and would have outranked Lucifer.
Could it be, despite Crowley's protestations that he didn't mean to be part of the rebellion, but just fell in with the wrong crowd, that he was actually the top ranking angel in the rebellion? Perhaps he just openly questioned the Plan which caused some lower ranking angels to question the Plan, which snowballed into a rebellion. He found out what harm just asking the question would do.
Since it seems to be a major goal of Crowley to prevent the final war between the demons and angels, which will result in the end of the current creation, the creation that he executed in the beginning, could it be that Crowley has been manipulating everything from the beginning when Aziraphale told him that the Plan was to end the creation in about 6000 years in order to prevent the destruction of his creation?
In other words, if Crowley is the true mastermind behind the angelic rebellion, and is thwarting both the demons and angels from having their final war that would end his creation, perhaps he is the Prince of Heaven to which Metatron referred.
Moreover, Metatron knows all of this, and his offer through Aziraphale to Crowley, is one last attempt to get Crowley back on board with the Plan, knowing full well that if Crowley refuses, then Crowley will have to then scheme against his beloved Aziraphale in order to thwart the Plan since Aziraphale is now in charge of executing the Plan.

Bear with me, but it’s possible that Crowley is Raphael, one of the original seven Archangels. We never see him mentioned and it would explain his power and clearances. Plus Raphael is known for guiding people on their journeys kind of like Crowley does…. A lot. Remember his endeavor in matchmaking or his ENTIRE relationship with Aziraphale?
I think Crowley is Lucifer, the Morning Star, prince of Hell. He was very high ranking in hell -hence the access to Gabriel's file- and the Metatron says that for one prince to be cast out is a story but to cast two down (Gabriel) would signal a systemic problem. Crowley loves the stars and his independence and habit to question God are his main trait. And, just like Milton's Lucifer, he'd rather be independent than kneel in Heaven.

In the scene where Crowley is in Heaven with Muriel, she says only some of at least the rank of a Throne or Dominion can open the book. Thrones are the third highest rank of angels; they are the living symbols of God’s justice and authority. Listening to the Will of God, they present the prayers of human beings to Him (or in this case, Her). Dominions are the fourth highest ranks of angels, and they oversee the lower ranks of angels. (The internet is a wonderful source for all sorts of information!😀)

In another post I posit that Crowley is the very very high arch angel Raphael. This is a beloved angel in Judeo-Christian canon. Raphael is not a fallen angel. So, where Raphael in the show so far? Nowhere because, possibly, Crowley is Raphael. He doesn;t remember. He is lost. I believe the Metatron was behind his being cast out. The Metatron continues to mess with him becasue Crowley remains powerful. Aziraphale now in Heaven with more power will find out what really happened. Ultimately , Crowley be restored to his vaunted status. That is why Raphael goes down in history as not fallen.

I agree that Crowley is someone of importance. Definitely a Dominion or a Throne. However, I don't think he's actually Lucifer because he talks about hanging out with Lucifer for just one moment and ended up with the wrong crowd. So I don't think he was the prince that was sent to hell but definitely a very powerful angel and if you don't know this bit of lore: thrones are the highest level followed by dominions then archangels so he was definitely more powerful than even Gabriel.

sadly it doesn't... If you refer to Crowley being Lucifer? Cause we actually saw Lucifer and Crowley together in frame in episode 6 of season 1. so.. unless he can be in 2 places at once. It doesn't add up.

Am I the only who finds it a bit odd that none of the archangels (or angels in general) seem to recognize the Metatron from sheer sight eventhough Uriel, Michael, etc. had met the Metatron just a view days ago and TALKED to him? And the angel in the wheelchair( sorry I always forget her name) recognizes Crowley immediately in Heaven eventhough they haven’t seen each other for presumably thousands of years but he doesn’t remember her?
Reminds me of that scene in the 1940 where Furfur encounters Crowley, remembering a moment when they fought TOGETHER in Heaven during the rebellion but Crowley doesn’t remember him?
Yet at the same token, these people seem to be also good at memorizing things like what Gabriel had said to Job or Az and Crowley remembering Wee Morag.
