I used to go to Chatt State. Everyday I would eat my lunch down there by the river! Pretty place when sunny!

    It's awe inspiring!
We have to Englewood & Huffman dmas inthis area.
Some one is always drowing, they get out on a boat and get too close to the dam.
Some times it's weeks before they find the body.

Its really peaceful at times, and there is always a nice breeze. I move back to Chatty in a month, so I look forward to getting back down there.
I kind of like the power of the flood waters, though. Majestic! Plus, it is a good time to catch giant catfish when the water is high! The big ones like to get close to the gates while they are open to eat whatever comes washing down to them. I have heard of people snagging 100+ lbs fish during flooding!
Thanks for the video! Have a good one, brother!

When all the rain fell just over a week ago in Southern Alberta and the downtown as well as the Stampede Fairgrounds flooded including the football stadium and Saddle Dome which was flooded 10 rows from ice level, some of the water had to be released from the Gardiner Dam, the level of the South and North Saskatchewan river rose quite a bit. In Saskatoon where I live the street that runs along the river flooded across the road. In Western Canada we've seen the awesome power of nature.

I was there just 2 months ago. There was a fishing pier down that ramp. Hope it is just submerged and didnt wash away.

Very cool. I assume it was part of FDR's TVA? (In college I used to work at a dam and it was my job to lower the gates when the lake level got too high and see that the correct amount of water was being sent to Fort Worth. That job had its moments.)
