I definitely enjoy the cloud aspect of Mobile LR when switching from phone to ipad to mac! It is also getting really good with certain smart features like the "depth" tool and smart masking. Overall, i like the feel of LRC better but mobile is very handy

I definitely enjoy using both! I wouldn't want to use either one of them entirely/completely, though.
I've found a way to use both effectively in various scenarios

For my use case, I also use both but mostly Classic. FYI there IS a Color Calibration tool in Lightroom but it first must be enabled. Click the 3-dot menu on the right and enable it in there. Once you do that it will be located within the Color tab. Cheers.

Oh gosh that’s a life changer! I love to make subtle changes there in that panel!

Hi Jared Can you help or advise me or anybody reading this who use Apple. I have an iPad 4th generation which works perfect and I’ve done all my photography work in that the past few years. Recently I’ve purchased a MacBook M2. What I’ve noticed is, when I use Lightroom in my MacBook the pictures are not the same tone/colour as when I use Lightroom on the iPad. I’m so used to editing in the iPad. Do you have any suggestions to match the tones up ? Love from Ireland 🇮🇪 Andrew

A few possible factors, here. 1 is screen brightness, if they aren’t a similar brightness levels, that will also affect how you see the colors on this screens. The other is the tru-tone or night shift setting that may possibly be causing some differences between the 2. It’s also possible that the iPad display has fallen a bit out of calibration due to age, but I’d check on the first 2 possibilities first

@@jaredcollins-photo The 2nd did help a bit in fairness with the night shift mode but there is still a bit of a difference. The iPad seems a bit more blue (Tru-Tone and the MacBook more greenish if you get me. Can if fix the calibration in any way? Could be because of age. What would you do? I’m so used to working with the iPad and Lightroom. My iPad only has 64bg and I have to keep deleting photos and videos off for it to work. I’m trying to get my head around the best way of workflow. Thanks for helping and answering my question. Andrew

@@andrewhoulihan7940 I wonder which is the most consistent? That's the one I'd use for most of my editing. To find this, I'd export a photo, see it on my phone, view the same photo on a few of your friends phones and see which of your 2 devices looks the closest to how your phone and other phones are showing it.

My question is, I'm nearly full with my cloud storage. Can I purchase more cloud storage?

Yes but you would need to upgrade your CC subscription I believe. I have been wrong before though.

@jordanking7711 Well , what I did is let it fill up .... Essentially, nothing happens. You can still uply images into the library. You can still edit them and back them up on SSDs or hard drive

Here's what i've found to be true as a 5 year novice\hobby photogrpher. "Old" photgraphers and pros treat you like your slow in the head or stupid for using LightRoom, and not Classic. But people who use Lightroom have NOTHING bad to say about Classic users.

I 100% enjoy both of them and I think they each fit into my workflow uniquely.
They do the same thing, but with different behaviors and methods.
I’ll not shame anyone for their preferences. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the differences between the 2.

I shoot professionally and I prefer as I call it the standard Lightroom not Lightroom classic. It's just simpler to operate and it's actually a lot faster workflow when you're doing a lot of editing. I just feel everything is in the right spot. I did try Lightroom classic and it just did not jail with the way my workflow and brain works but everyone is different some people swear by classic!... I never edit. I never edit photos on my phone ever

I believe you can add more cloud storage under your Creative Cloud account, but I’ve never looked at the pricing.
I started in LR Classic so I prefer it in most cases but they are both very very capable programs.

Adobe can use the cloud stored images to train its AI. It keeps trying to claim ownership of those images as well.
I stay away from their cloud storage.

Yea, I know that was a hot topic a couple of months ago, but I've since seen further explanations of that clause in the fine print that maybe states it wasn't what everyone initially thought?
I personally haven't read it all myself. I don't use it for any of my client work, though. So, I shouldn't be in any sort of violation of an NDA anyway.

Seriously dude if you post your photos on Facebook Facebook owns your Photos Instagram and so does every other platform where you post your photos. Everyone is using AI to generate money. Don't buy into the whole Lightroom conspiracy rubbish. Seriously come on.
