That’s gotta be a hefty monthly for those three cars. How has it been renting them on Turo? I always wonder how many months you’ll have to write off losses. But I guess that has advantages too?
Make sure you blank out the license plate in your listing picture, lenders such as Ally are now paying 3rd party companies to find out if you are renting the car on apps like Turo. Worst case they could repo your car for breech of contract.
Smart tip about NOT having your personal Insurance available to the guest. As far as getting financed, buying several cars in less than 30 days is because the personal credit info of new accounts is only updated monthly to the credit bureaus for the most part. Renting nice mid level cars is correct due to demand, reasonable Insurance and cost maintenance compared to luxury / exotic cars. SUVs with large capacity is key. If hybrid even better!
You still need some type of insurance to cover driving to or from customer, or while it sits in front of home or storage. People in my area have been stealing catalytic converters as cars sit outside

Great information, I am looking to get into the business myself. I'd like to add a nugget "tactic" to return the gift of information. Don't Say you can "PROFIT" from insurance claims, That's a major no no! insurance in only to make you Whole. The IRS WILL SEE YOUR VIDEO AND LET YOU KNOW YOU HAVE JUST ADMITTED TO PROFITING and must include ever dime over your insurance cover as income at your normal tax rate. that's very important because Auditors do whatch YOU TUBE because you tuber's brag on their income and have know Ideal about auditors!

A super important subject that you haven’t talked about: how to finance a car without breaking the contract? Alot of banks don’t allow their cars on turo and will repossess. And what about insurance too? You also need to find insurance that will cover your vehicle for turo.

I have heard from other hosts that a few lenders are searching Turo for cars they have loaned on and are at times either calling loans due, cease and desist letters, or just outright repossessing?

There was a law passed in 2008 purchasing big ticket items such as cars and hones that allows your credit to be pulled 45 consecutive days and it only counts as one credit inquiry. I liked your video but I did want to say that it depends on what state you're in Most states require that you put your insurance card in the glove box. Because Toro only covers you in an accident what happens if the guest gets pulled over for speeding or for drunk driving they can't hand the police the Toro insurance they have to hand them the insurance that has assigned to the car

He who holds the checks, makes the rules at the dealership! -sidebar when you a moment, can you explain or make a vid explaining if personal auto insurance gets effected (auto insurance rate increase) in the event a guest gets in an accident with your vehicle. Seems like " 3rd party" companies will still try to report the accident to your auto insurance company even if you're covered by Turos insurance plans.

What is your cost per mile to operate these vehicles? What is your ROI ? How much do you have cash in reserves to cover when rentals are slow? I would think paying off the rentals as fast as you can would be a better thing to do. Then take a profit??

Are you familiar with the age and mileage limits? I know that it's 12 years and under 130k miles. What I'm wondering about is whether that means you can list the car indefinitely since you've begun within the limits or does it have to meet the requirements again the next year or something like that? I just want to make sure if I'm buying something with close to 130k miles, I'm not limiting myself to a short time period of listing it.

While the vehicle is rented you are covered under the Turo insurance. it’s included you don’t have to pay for it. As far as having personal insurance on the vehicles your State may require you to have the minimum liability insurance. Of course you will never touch your personal insurance at any time while the vehicle is being rented.

2017. Most of the vehicles are rented .they are rarely all parked. there may be one or two that are parked at the same time. I park them at my house.

As long as it has less than 130,000 miles when you put it on Turo you can go past 130,000 miles as long as it is well maintained

That’s what is nice about the capital one auto navigator app you can adjust your down payment and it tells you what cars you qualify for.

While the vehicle is rented you are covered under the Turo insurance. it’s included you don’t have to pay for it. As far as having personal insurance on the vehicles your State may require you to have the minimum liability insurance. Of course you will never touch your personal insurance at any time while the vehicle is being rented.
