You said the HTI HT-191 at the end with a sensor of 320x240 was "easily the highest of any on the list" but your #3 seek reveal pro has the same resolution. As a general rule, I don't trust any research that's done based on "reading customer reviews". This almost always means just seeing what has the highest Amazon ratings. Does anyone seriously trust Amazon reviews anymore?
Yeah, the bad ones. You can see if there are plenty or a few only. Also you can see if they talk about the same generic fault or they are given because of user fault. That's how I go around it. Never trust the million 5 stars, they can buy those. For example on the Xintai many people say it bricked on them and they had to throw it away, support being kind of non existent. So although it seems to be good specs I won't go for it. Too expensive for the bin.
@@gabbor2904 Typically, people buy something, unpack it, give it a go, and if it works they way they expect, they writew a good review. Not many reviews are written after a unit has been used for months/years - and it's only then, when a user knows the good and bad points. Quite often, the sales site will not allow reviews after a certain time after the sale.
@@DownhillAllTheWay You basically confirmed what I said. Most of the good reviews can't be trusted. However if the product breaks weeks or months later (if the system allows) the angry customers try to ease their frustration and write a negative one star review. Also if the product is not good straight out of the box some professional may write a valuable review with a two or three star and let you know the why straight after they purchased it. By professional I mean someone who uses that item on a daily basis or a professional version of that item so they can compare. That way you know what to expect. I never trust an item where there are no negative reviews. For one there are so many stupid people, they order the wrong item and they give a 1 start stating the item wasn't what they wanted. Also many times people just don't know how to use it or they expected a Ferrari when they bought a Suzuki and they give a one star review. If those are missing then there is a fair chance the reviews are tackled. I stand by my comment that good reviews can be and are purchased, there are professional reviewers living off this. I don't mean to be a know it all, this is my method, how I myself do it. The question was if one can trust the reviews and I shared how I use them to try to figure out if I want that item or I skip it. Does it work all time? Definitely not, but I am pretty sure I have a better "success rate" than not reading reviews at all :)
Looks like sponsored ad. Why not mention Infiray devices? I have Infiray T2L attached to my phone via USB-C and it rocks! Manual focus is so great and 25 fps @ 288x192 thermal sensor makes it number one. Alu body, top quality for the price 1/3 of seek thermal reveal pro... Why havent you done deeper research on the market? All these shitty videos about "top super hiper best" are just shitty and showing no respect to us - Viewers. Channel banned. And this is mine, not sponsored opinion.

@@gabbor2904 Yes, I agree. Reviews do have a real value, but they have to be read with a good slice of skepticism.
There is just so high fail rate on Chinese products especially on no name brands
