OMG, I did a painting almost EXACT! If I could only figure out how to record, edit, and upload videos! I wish you could see it! Yours, of course, is absolutely beautiful too!
Kelli email me a picture would love to see. Cozcreationsart@gmail.com. There are many wonderful tutorials on how to record and edit your videos. That’s how i learned
What a glorious pour Caroline. I like your take on Zeus as being liquid copper ;.P and I love the honeycomb! Exciting stuff. Watching on a Sunday afternoon with Hubbie. Wishing you a splendid rest of the weekend. xxx
Another Masterpiece so stunningly alluring, absolute pleasure for my eyes. Thankyou Cathleen for sharing your awesome creative talent, you are so very much appreciated and loved. Namaste🙏 Love and Light 💜💛💜
This is fabulous. I would not have even known different crackle paste brands do different things! Oooh, Deco Art Enchanted?! We don't even have that at the store near me as far as I know. But, I hear you, bigger bottles of the fabulous things in the 2 oz bottles would be appreciated!! This is a wonderful presentation, Cathleen. Very helpful and appreciated.
Oh this is awesome Cathleen! I'm waiting for my Golden crackle paste to get here. But, I'm really loving the DecoArt crackle medium. When I can buy some I'll get it through you. I really like the idea of using both in a landscape. Whenever you feel in the mood I would love to see how you use that DecoArt rub on paste. Oooo all the possibilities! This is what I day dream about🤗. Thank you for showing us the effects of the different products. I love this painting...it's so cool! I heard in my head, "I'm too sexy for my canvas!" Yeah, I'm a little weird😏. 😊🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄 Merry Christmas
Thank you Tera. The rub on is easy breezy. Once painting is dry i rub a little into the cracks and then i wipe it off. The paste stays in the cracks. It’s fun to play.
Love this! That crackle paste is nice! It adds elegant texture! The colors complement the light crakle on the bigger picture. That zeus is yummy! You had such interesting paint reaction. I was surprised. I'm interest ìn what you painted on the little guy? Great joining you this morning to paint Cathleen!
Absolutely marvelous artwork. Your pouring technique & the color palette you have chosen for this one is extraordinary. Have a nice 4th Advent Cathleen 🎄🎄🎄🎄⭐️🙂
Once again, I have no words 😶. From your pour, colour palette to the composition……. Gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, captivating, all these words fail to describe how truly magical your art is! Every time I watch you paint, I am always taken on a journey. Thank you 🙏, dear lady, for always gifting us with beauty. Stay safe, love, light and blessings always to you and your family, from Australia ♥️💥🙏💐💐💐💐💐
Love this art! Gorgeous colors. I bought the Sashay Red. I then found Hobby Lobby carries a new line of Masters Touch pearlized paints and they have a gorgeous Wine Red that is richer and darker than the Sashay. Thought you might like to check it out.
Cathleen- are you familiar with Raku pottery? For many years I was a sculptor and Raku artist. I love the fumed copper colors. I'm wondering if I did a pour with the heated copper colors and then applied copper colored crackle paste over top, do you think the crackle paste would separate enough to allow you to see the colors underneath?
Laurie i am not sure but sure worth a try. I worked in clay and was a potter for many years. My first love. I still throw now and then. Very familiar with Raku.
That is so beautiful!! I used to use crackle paste when I refinished furniture and picture frames. I was going to say you can paint the base any colour you like then when it's dry put on the crackle paste then when that is dry, paint the top coat any colour you want. that way you could have black with any colour you want in the cracks. It was really fun and made things look old. But I think if you painted say a gold colour first then crackle paint and then black. Or even the opposite. You just have to choose two colours that are very different so it shows up. I missed how you made the piggies up did you use the same recipe as your paints for this one? Floetrol and Gac??
Hello Joey. The piggies are first mixed with a little Josonja varnish to wet them down and make a paste. Then I add my usual Pouring Medium to them. Very easy
Hi Cathleen, this is so cool! May I ask please? If you put acrylic pour directly on the crackle paste will that be ok it wont damage the paste ? I saw that you taped those sections and also if you seal it with a varnish after do you know if over time will it flake of or not? Thanks for the help.
Sabrina you can pour or paint the crackle paste. Just need to do it thin so you don’t cover the cracks too much. Yes I varnish with several coats for Liquitex Varnish
Apologize if this was asked and I missed it- in this video you have the recipe for the pouring medium mix- what is your ratio of paint to that pouring medium in the cup?
No apology needed Nickey. Always here to help. Not an easy answer. It depends on the paint. In general its one part paint to 2.5-3 parts PM. If your using something like Golden Fluids (very high pigmented) its one part paint to 5-6 parts pm.
Magnificent!!! I love the new honeycomb color!!!
💛✌Good information on the crackle paste doing different things. Wonderful pour.
Really really pretty. Enjoyed the whole show⭐️
Absolutely gorgeous Cathleen. Reminds me of the Southwest 💕

Oh wow SB sounds like my Jam. Thank you
Beautiful as usual!
Oh, I love the crackle paste! What a gorgeous piece! Does the crackle paste dry clear or do you have to tint it? Thank you! 🤩🌺
Yes it does! But I add color to it once it’s dry Kathy. Tomorrows video will show you that.

I would appreciate bigger bottles too! It's just not sustainable. Or they could provide refill packs at least.
Safran RIGHT bigger bottles please DecoArt
I am gettin bored with dutch pours and glad that this one is not. This painting has a composition and creativity with a nice choice of colours.
Thank you so much Isinsu
