This is a new series where I show off all Dark Souls 3 Weapons. In this video, I show you guys how to get all the Katanas in the Dark Souls 3. I will go step by step and show the Katana Locations in Dark Souls 3 and showcase them as well. This Part 1 of an ongoing series so comment below what weapon category I should do next.

Yeah its pretty funny, in a close up fight the mimic is actually stronger than the demon

Kyubey That is actually kinda creepy. What is the limit to their power? How could they hit harder with no weapon than a demon with a giant axe.

I mean, A katana is a samurai sword, not a ninja sword. Ninjas may use it too, but it’s mostly a Samurai thing.

If you do notice, In every time you summon the Sword Master, Its worth noting that he IS using the Chaos blade, and NOT the uchigatana. (Its noticable when he attacks things and takes like, 6 damage)
I think the Black Blade is a little underrated, because with a quality build of 40/40 in STR/DEX the Black Blade has just a few extra points of damage, plus it can be buffed with resin or spells very easily, making it one of the highest damage katanas hands down. Think the Washing Pole beats it by a hair at +10.
I always used the black blade cause I thought it looked the coolest. All the other katanas look too big.

The Uchi has always been my preferred weapon for my first playthrough of all Dark Souls games. My DS1 build (Eastern Legend) was a rather deadly Uchi-Pyro build with high HP and great phys deff, but no shield and only 4 spell slots. DS2 (Dragon Cultist) was a glass cannon from hell. 50 Dex, 30 Int + Fth, 30 End, and all remaining points till sl 200 put in Attunement.
For the Black Blade Katana I got the mimic to get hit by the demon so they fought each other and killed each other which was pretty good

Or for the mimic you can throw an undead Hunter charm at it and it goes to sleep allowing you to grab the item out of them and helps to farm the symbol of Avarice lil tip for anyone who doesn't know

Thanks for the video. There is a weapon that does very fast hits as a heavy and as special, a purple trail in the ground. Is it a katana? I remember the stance was like one.

Washing Pole katana is look alike Sephiroth FF7 long katana sword. This katana on my wish to have list. Looking forward to have it in my collection =)

you forgot to mention that attacking enemies with the chaos blade gives you also damege

In my game the mimic killed the demon whilst it got left with a fraction of health, one shot it and felt pretty accomplished for doing basically nothing haha

Washing Pole is a reference to Sasaki Kojiro, a samurai in the late 1500s to early 1600s. His katana's name, when translated to English, is Cleansing Pole

+Jake Torvick At least Cleansing Pole sounds way better than "Washing" Pole. It keeps making me think of some pole i use to wash something dammit. It would've been better if they actually kept Nodachi though...

So the Washing Pole, Uchigatana and Black Blade are the same weapon (same moveset, almost same numbers) but different ranges. The Black Blade is the coolest looking imo.
thing about the black blade. The charged 2HR2 apparantly does backstab levels of damage. so there's that.
Can you do spells? Like a sorcery location next?

I have never been one for katana's in this game. but with all the estus users in this game, I have fallen in love with the Washing Pole. such a great punisher.
Try using the Onikiri and Ubadachi. Then you'll forget about everything else
+Med Dog The charge on astora greatsword l2 is insane for punishing as it pancakes and can be extended
chaos blade actually has a pretty high base stat for bleed and it would be way overpowered if you could buff it
Bloodlust Katana is first rank of mound makers. The second rank is Warmth

11:10- its not dual katana, its a katana and a wakizashi. It is a shorter auxiliary blade.

Honestly, if your upgraded and have proper imbue on your weapon, the fire demon in the smoldering lake is a pushover

You can access the Untended Graves early to get it. You just need to git gud enough in order to beat those 3 bosses to get to the Firelink Shrine.

+Kurt Last time I remembered, she gives you the small banner which lets you access the Undead Settlement after you defeat Vordt. You can get it from her from exhausting her dialogue or killing her. She's a high priestess of Lothric by the way. Just do your research or git gud enough to at least get to the first non-tutorial boss. There shouldn't be anything else that needs clearing up then. Don't take that personally by the way, I was just kidding about that jest. I didn't mean to offend you if I did,I don't want to start a flame war that I won't participate in.
killing her lets you summon the dancer and go to upper lothric. just talking to her gives you the banner which you then beat vordt and go to undead settlement
black blade gets an A scaling in faith and D are D Dex when infused with lightning at +10

Washing pole is by far better then the uchi at least for pvp, consider the range.

I didn't see any details on that flame blade you were using right after the black blade, unless they are the same blade. But then if they are the same when it gets the flames does it do fire dmg? and how good is that? or is it just something giving it the flame attribute?

Hi! So Dark Souls 3 is my first Dark Souls game, now I have used Rosaria to switch my stats around a bit and I ended up with a Dex/Strength build, I love using the katanas and right now I have the washing pole to a +8 and the chaos blade which I am looking for more twinkling titanite. Any weapon recommendations for a Dex/Strength build with a higher focus in Dex?

you really should play the others
The Halberd is a solid choice for str/dex.
Lothric straight sword is a solid choice with refined and it's not silly looking like the dark sword
Also, just about any katana will perform well with high str/dex.
i'd like to see fist weapons next

the blood lust Katana is like the alonne katana where you stab your self and buff the weapon
I thought there was an Katana with a weapon art where you charge the swipe like a normal Katana but instead hit in a flurry of attacks
