Nice one Nige mate 👍 They are Such gorgeous locks . There's a whole host of fabulous lever padlocks to get your teeth into now . Cheers and all the best to you and yours HAPPY CHRISTMAS 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄
Appreciate the shout out NigBee, I got most of my ideas from Brummie who inspired me on my lever lock picking journey. I looked at the price of tools and was shocked so made my own and the rest is history. I have experimented with idea like adding the groove to help hold the wire straight when picking. In your next video (which I watched first 🤷♂️ for some strange reason) I wrote a few silver soldering tips. I trust you and the family have a lovely Christmas.
Sort of, as in I have taken it apart for a look, poked the levers with some wires that are too short. Need to make a set of wires for it and do it properly, is it one that needs two wires rather than a cut down key tension tool.
@@NIGBEE-lock-bothering you can actually use either I think, you can check by seeing if your padlock tensioner will engage the bolt, if it does then go with that as it will be more precise, most lever picking is about working out the right tensioner and wire combination and as you say, every lock is a little different from a tool requirement perspective. if you make a tensioner with a long grub screw as the upstand then it will give you a lot more flexibility in adapting it to a variety of locks and it will be repairable when you overdo the tension ;-)
Excellent lever picking and tool making. I have about 100 videos on my channel on making tools and picking all sorts of lever locks. It is really me and Chris Capune over here in the States that pick lever locks. They don’t make them here and I have to buy and have them shipped overseas from England, very costly. Glad to see another Locksporter picking lever locks. Keep up the good work.👍🦊
I have watched a lot of your stuff as well Jack. It's like being a beginner again but with hours making tools instead of buying stuff. Will check out more or your back catalogue. Merry Christmas 🎁⛄😊
If like to get into lever locks eventually, they're so beautiful and intricate. I'll have to peruse your channel some more and see what I can learn from you!
HI ,NigBee 😊 You did a very good job with this task, NigBee!!!! I also have a 660SQUIRE, four brass levers. I opened it using a slightly different method. But I'm also interested in its closing. I don't have a key. But the key should have a hole at the tip of the main rod. I don't know if your lock has this hole. I tried to make a tensioner for it but all attempts were a failure!)) I'm trying to find a method for opening and closing this lock. But alas, it hasn't worked out yet. You're great, Buddy!!!! Impressive video and opening. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones!!!! Good luck 👍 🤠 ☮️ 🌍 🌎 🌏 👍 🎄☃️🍾💯💯💯🤝
@NIGBEE-lock-bothering yes very well thanks have had a good 5 months brake from all things lock picking, planning to get back on it in the new year merry Christmas and a happy new year
Love those polished up tools! And I appreciate the silver solder on the wire-when I've done the bent handles, I've hated the movement in the handles, and that seems a proper fix I should try.
Be careful about the heat, this one is ok but it's ruined the temper on another one I have done, the wire is much softer. Thanks Jeff. Merry Christmas ⛄
Brilliant. Very estute of you..You're absolutely right....I had been drinking as it was my birthday and you were the first one to say happy birthday so you won the surprise covert giveaway 😂😂 archaic tomfoolery is also brilliant 😂😂😂👌I have quite a collection now of lever padlocks and I'm happy to loan you some to help your journey. Just drop me a message my friend. Nice picking, lovely tools and thanks for the mention 🙏🫶👌🤜🤛🤘👍😊
@@NIGBEE-lock-bothering funny enough you can get a mate lock the and fixed as the 440 from Toolstation or the range for less than a tenner. It does pick somewhat like a 440 but a good value lock.
Celebrate every open 🎉🎉 nicely done and explained. You've done a great job with those tools too, cheers 🍻
They aren't all as easy as this one, we will see how it goes

Thanks Roy. I have mailed you. Nothing important
Lovely demo! Thank you for posting - Now to add levers to my list, after DD and dimples 😆 Happy Xmas from NZ 🎅
@@PEGF4MG thanks. Hope you find some ok.
Wonderful video Nigbee! Fantastic tools there, and a pretty little lock Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, only managed two locks so far, spent more time making tools and learning than picking. It's interesting
Very nice looking turner there, and great job on the open! I deffintely want to try doing exactly that one day too.
Nicely done Nigbee and those tools look far too pretty! 😂🎉
They match the pretty little lock. Easy one to start with. It's like starting all over again but this time I have to make all the tools.
Great Job! Love that tensioner!
Cheers Orgis
Ah, at last, Nigbee is picking lever locks on YT.... my work here is done 🤣🤣🤣, Nicely done and a lovely little lock! 👌👌
It's a bit too easy this one. Need something a bit more with feedback I can to work out, hopefully the 975 fits the bill
@@NIGBEE-lock-bothering have you had a go at the mortise lock I sent you?

If you ever do, let me know. I can send you a lock to practice on.
You mean the US doesn't make lever locks anymore. Right? I wrote 3 books on picking US made lever padlocks, and there's plenty on Ebay.

That’s correct. They don’t make them anymore. That was a broad statement on my part. I have some of those locks in my collection.👍

Need to find something that's a bit harder than this but not stupid hard, got an ERA on the way as a recommendation, anything you would recommend?
