- Roll Part 5 - the run to end all runs. I've struck gold, and I can't believe I'm one of the first to do so. This strategy has so much potential to grow, despite my monumental success with it. If I do another video, it will surely be with a better version of this strategy - wish me luck!

When he gets through 3/5ths of his rolls but there’s still half an hour left
When that happens, you know it’s gonna be good
That's how most episodes go really. He ends up burning through most of his rolls very early on in order to upgrade shop and get the big earner upgrades for his dice.

10 minutes later, has used 50 more rolls
25 minutes later, he has used 500 rolls.
It's weird receiving this in my recommended without knowing how the game works. This video is like: "If I add a face multiplier to the elbow mechanic, I get a dot that can be added to a die. Should I do that now, or should I de-increment the incremented dice pool to get the overflow region." Tons of stuff I don't understand, but there are some big numbers in this video, so that's cool.
I've watched multiple of his ROLL videos and i still don't understand most of it.

The one thing I wish he did was check the stats when he “overshoots” by a bunch.
That’s a clear indicator that the last roll was nuts.
A "highest roll" feature, to see what brought in the most pips would be great

Like how he does like 20 rolls without getting enough for an upgrade just to end up with a number 1,000+ times greater than what he originally wanted.
Nerd time:
When he had 1132 rolls left (6:07) he was left with a mere 34 points to his name.
By the time he got to 812 rolls remaining (33:07) he has gotten 10^20.
To put those numbers into perspective, that's a jump from 34 to a half a million million billion in 320 rolls!
If he could've had that pace (320 rolls for multiplying your amount by 10^19) for the entirety of the 2500 rolls you get, he would've ended his run with a whopping 10^148 points! That's more than 7!

Because Aliensrock likes the strategy deckbuilder genre, I think he would like Dicey Dungeons, since it’s similar to slay the spire.

Not so sure, Dicey Dungeons has a LOT of RNG, and it honestly feels kinda rigged. I´ve lost track how many times i failed runs just because i kept rolling absolute trash. Its more luck than strategy
@@Barrabbazz aaannd the point is to find a way to minimze RNG. Your real enemy isn't the monsters but RNG
sadly if you bad rng the minimizing of rng then ripperinos. They should really put more like 4 or 5 items instead of 3.

When he put the ×5 on the 99 (that's actually worth 0) I cried
The very best die is the (1/4 20%) with the multiplier on non numeric faces perk, i it is worth 25x the entire roll when maxed to 99x and it's also a lotto die so gets the bonuses just as any lotto die
Whenever I use it it seems to output 0 a lot even when not failing for some reason. I think it doesn't work well with rerollers
@@toastitup3482 you have to have other dice that are also rerolled for it to target
@@xraidev I had all my dice being rerolled by a passive and was still getting zeroes
@@toastitup3482 You sure all your dice were being rerolled the same amount? It's possible you had a passive which rerolls all dice once or twice, but your 1/4 20% lottery face had attached 3x rerollers, so it was being rerolled by itself a lot and had no other rerolled dice to multiply.

Not sure if this comment already exists. But when he bought the slot machine passive (around 14:15) it also allowed him to putthe multipliers on the lottery faces, so he could have had a x10 effect on his 77777 dice.
he also bought the one that lets you stack attached multipliers, meaning in theory he couldve gotten x99 on the middle face

It should also have a leader board for highest dots in a single roll.
Shoutout to Tyler and Ben for not only getting a video out at the same time every day, but also having this episode be 40 minutes long! The work you do is insane, and I just thought y'all needed more appreciation for it!

I appreciate proper naming of large numbers! Some people just say "what's a queenteelion" and you're accurately translating scientific notation to names. Very nice

@@aloysiuskurnia7643 It's actually not necessary for you to be able to name huge numbers, only work with scientific notation itself. The ability to name huge numbers is usually a skill you obtain by playing certain idle/clicker games, like Cookie Clicker, and actually paying attention

Idea for a new gamemode: reverse mode
You have unlimited rolls, try to get 1 quadrillion points with the least amount of rolls. Leaderboard shows the player with the least amount of rolls

Inflation where shop prices are increased by 1.5 or 2x and you see how much dots you gain like normal just with higher prices

Tbh roll is one of the best games I've seen you play in a while, would love to see you play it more, regardless of if you set insane scores like this :) something about it just is nice to watch and I'm sure other people would agree that seeing different strategies popping off is really satisfying

I thought of an interesting challenge for this game. See what the top score you can get is but you can’t reroll the shop until you have bought every item available. I’d be interested to see you do it. Love the vids Tyler!
40 minutes of Aliensrock? Time to not sleep
If the game dev reads this, could you add a quality of life change showing in the shop if you have enough money to buy an upgrade? (maybe just an too expensive in the upgrade description or coloring the upgrade red)
and another thing, rainbow digits in pairs of 3 would be very nice to have for the costs < 1e16 so you can more quickly identify how much it costs
Also upgrade "tiers" would be funny for a new mode, like legendary upgrades that are a lot more rare xD

Maybe something like quickest time to a trillion but still limit number of rolls. The only problem I see is it kind of defeats the beauty of the game where you are trying to make every roll count and that likely wouldn’t be true with a timed version

There is a setting for a darker background in the options menu, just click the moon icon

It's kind of difficult for me to change Tyler's game settings through UA-cam though XD
It has one, but light and dark theme are subjective preferences. Also on certain display types (for example, DLP projectors) light theme can be much clearer than dark theme.

TYLER! Some important notes about the previous roll multiplier: it DOES NOT work with faces which multiply the entire roll. So don't use it with wilds, total roll multipliers, or 1/4 lottery total roll multipliers. Everything else will work fine though. Also, void faces are FANTASTIC with previous roll multipliers, because it allows you to get the 2x void effect twice! (once on the previous roll, twice on the previous roll multiplier.) And of course, previous roll multipliers do not chain with themselves. (i.e. they do not stack if you roll a previous roll multiplier twice in a row, only the first one ever has any value)
He figured that out later in the video.

Thanks tyler, I got 32th place because of this strat. Also took note of the other comments and added multipliers on the lotteryfaces. You really need to get lucky on the passives though, scavenger hunter on the 1-3rd first choices of passives should be there, otherwise, it's botched for a top 100 run.
