Bands that play together stay together! Jungle have a sound of their own. Their ability to be this good live reminds me so much of Steely Dan's Becker and Fagen. It's an almost obsessive striving for pure perfection. We (Brits) are lucky to have them.
Hands down the earth mother of KEXP. A genuine asf music fan. The bands always relax around her because they see she has integrity. Jungle are superb as always...
I like her but sometimes her questions are a bit repetitive. Like she literally asked the same question about 2 vs 7 on live performances the last time they came playing for KEXP.
More like how can they be SO TIGHT... they're an awful lot of cool, well-dressed kids who know how to party in the industry; almost none can hold a candle to them. As a pro musician, I can testify more bands 30 years+ on the road are not as well rehearsed as those cool kids. They are MONSTERS.

Jungle is such a fashion statement, that even live, they have a specific outfit colour palette. I dig this brown-orange-ochre-green vibe. Also, can we appreciate that the live mix sounds exactly like how they sound on their albums? Many artists don't take the effort to tweak everything and they just feel off under the same conditions.
I think you miss the point of going to a live concert. If you want it exactly as on their albums just listen to them instead. I wonder how many tracks are just triggered, while playing during this session.

Sometimes radio live sessions sound garbage even with good equipment, while everything in this video sounded perfect. Concerts are a different experience. That's a format that leaves you more room for experimentation, improvisation, and visual elements and interaction are also part of it. My comment had nothing to do with concerts, I was only complimenting the sound engineering work behind this session.
All these musical instruments..see? Make a big difference compared to sampling or computer music. I am used to hearing instruments and these guys have their own unique sound. I dig it!!
On the advice of my daughter I had to have a listen to one of these songs, and then hopped onto this video I am a pretty old bird now, but I am blown away by this talent. It makes me want to dance
This is the most exciting band of our days. Their music is groovy, depply arranged, sophisticated while rooted in some of the best old school genres. So, so good.

So basically they get in the room, play something, hit record in advance of course and don't even bother giving it to post production. Awesome! That is a true sound and fuck me how refreshing to see artists publishing basically exactly what they performed. Man, good to have this back after the last 30 years of post production madness

Never heard these folks before, but been listening to KEXP since around 2002 and they're always been bringing new sounds to my ears. These folks are great! Also love that if you saw each person, you probably never, ever guess they were in a band together - each seems to have their own unique style! Awesome.
Cheryl Waters seems to get the best bands when she's on. Jungles sound is so tight, what a pleasure to listen too. They are some true musicians and they're use of samples is just enough to serve the song. I will be looking for there albums. Thanks again for bringing such great music to us.
As a musician who enjoyed marching band, I think quads would make an amazing addition to the squad. I have never owned my own quads but have been told I was born to rule the quads, I once lead a line of 100 quads for a college football game.
Just discovered this band 1 hour ago by stumbling across their latest album on vinyl. The cover art caught my attention and I bought it. HOLY SHIT! Amazing, my new favorite for a while. Love that all 3 albums have similar covers, LOVE that they bring on session musicians to make the music truly a live experience. Thank you, Jungle.
saw them last autumn in Stockholm. It was awesome and it sounded as good as in this take. Maybe even better. They have such a crazy energy. The 2 background singers killed it too

This is one of my favorite albums. I identify so much with the lyrics. Brings me back to the early 2000's in California and how my life changed, love, having to leave him behind, getting over it, changing country, lifestyle, friends, everything, fear of moving to a new place. I can really feel it. Jungle has brought me back to my past but also accompanied to my future especially the year of the pandemic. Keep moving was the song that helped me get through it. So, JUNGLE means a lot to me. Love them FOREVER!! Especially after my first concert seeing them in Oct 17 at Palacio de los Deportes Mexico city. AMAZING!!Thank you ❤
Jungle is so freaking GOOD! Their KEXP show, some years back, was great too and it hooked me in totally, after listening Too Busy Earnin' and Heat some two or three times.
