    hey! congrats!! how do you feel about the difficulty of the courses (specifically patho/physiology) aside from the pace? do you have any recommended resources or study habits? what were your stats and did you receive a lot of aid?

    First off, congrats girl! I'm so excited to see somebody's journey come full circle. You have the exact same journey and end goal that I do. During my gap year, the advisor told me that it was possible for me to actually get an AS in nursing, then get a multistate nursing license to be licensed in Georgia as well. As a current student, going through the pathway I want to be in, How do you think this will affect me? Do you think this will be beneficial? Do you think it will be a hinderance? You seem really smart and focused, so Id love your insight and advice...

      thank you so much! i think that your advisor informed you of one of the many avenues you can take to enter the nursing field. whether it’s ADN, BSN or MN, you will have the opportunity to obtain your RN license. you just have to weigh your options when it comes to schooling, costs, and future opportunities. you could technically get your foot in the door with your associate’s then go back to school for your BSN (and even have that education covered by your job). regardless, i don’t think you’re at a disadvantage if what you want to be is a good nurse. best of luck!

      @@krystianstevens thank you, if I were a nurse already would I still have to do the same amount of class in the program or would I be exempt from some because I’m already a nurse?

      @@cj8537 i’m not sure, but google is the best help! i would look into specific programs of interest bc they’ll list all the requirements. it usually comes down to certain classes and if it’s a post-licensure program, already having your RN license.

    hi! i got into Emorys MN program but am not sure there's going to be a lot of aid. Do many students have to work to pay tuition and afford living arrangements?

    • @krystianstevens
      @krystianstevens  6 місяців тому +2

      congratulations! many students do work to pay tuition, especially if they want to to avoid taking out loans. others use their refund checks to pay for living arrangements among other essentials. it just depends on each person’s situation. if you do work while in nursing school, i would suggest one job being a nurse externship, which allows you to work in a clinical environment as a student for experience and skills building.

    How is the financial aid? I start MN in August.

      congratulations! i think it depends. i imagine it’s harder for non-georgians and those not interested in taking out loans, but even with the scholarship i received, the remaining cost can still be expensive.
