@@fjb3544 I'm sorry to say that you'll never be able to duplicate that sound unless you have an actual engine under the hood. And to each his, own, but if you have a concern about climate change, build a 292 because it's 6 cylinders not 8, put a mild camshaft in it, then instead of a carburetor, install an aftermarket fuel injection unit in place of the carburetor. Put headers on it, but install a wideband O2 sensor in the exhaust. Then have it tuned by a professional shop for maximum economy, not power. Then you can drive it, enjoy the sound and still have a smile on your face because your truck is putting out the minimum amount of pollution possible. Oh, and put aftermarket catalytic converters in the exhaust system and it'll reduce emissions even more! I think you would be amazed at the end result if you build it properly. Just run both headers into one 3 inch pipe and install the wideband in the 3 inch pipe with the converter. Good luck to you! I'd love to hear how it turns out if you build it! 😁👍
Thanks for the upload - What's not to love on those great durable trucks of yesteryear!
@@Journeyman-Fixit Yes they are cool and the 292 is a very stout engine! 😁👍💯
That’s a rare build for sure. Sounds awesome. Love that paint color too. Thanks for sharing Wags. Have a great rest of the day.
Love inline 6 engines and the sound they make! Sweet Truck !
Ya it sounds great with that dual exhaust! Love the way he chromed up the engine too!
how to make the power that doesn't make you make the choice between eating and the fuel pump
Nothing like the sound of a straight 6❤
Glad to see this. It is harder to find parts for the Chevy and ford sixes and they make an interesting engine to build up.
Ya the 292s are becoming more popular now! I've actually picked up 2 of them recently! 👍😁
Is there anyway of seeing how the throttle cable is ran. Trying to do the same on my c10.. thank you
Gorgeous truck!
@@deftones2793 If I see it again, I'll try to take a look at it. I'd just buy one of those flexible universal cables off ebay and adapt it. 👍😁
I think it sounds great!
@@whirlpool1978 Me too! I have a couple of 292s myself now. I can't wait to build one! 👍😁
@ I also like the 300 I6 engines as well-I’m not brand partial with the straight 6 engines. I like them all.
@whirlpool1978 Cool! 😁
Sounds great
@@RobertGibb-h7i Yes it does! I've acquired a couple 292 engines now. I can't wait to hear them run! 😁👍
Is there a way to go electric and still make the engine sound? Climate change concerns

Mods?
He had a racing cam in it, headers, dual exhaust, and a 4bbl carburetor. I don't know what else he did to it, but it sounded great! 😁
Does not sound very good. Kind of thin.
Thin? It is a 6 cylinder, so it's not going to have the V8 sound.
@@WagsAutomotive It sounds kind of cool, but doesn't have a lot of authority. Like a little brother sound.
@@georgeallan6550 You might be surprised! A 292 engine is capable of some pretty serious HP. 👍
@@WagsAutomotive yes, but the sound is inferior.
@@georgeallan6550 oOr maybe it's just different? 🤷
love it
@@ronwhittaker6317 Yep! Beautiful truck! 👍😁
