I think at the end of the speed training session, get the player to go back to the standard normal swing and see what the swing and ball speeds are compared to before the speed session. The end goal is to keep accuracy with higher swing speed.
That's actually counter intuitive, you want your speed sessions to be purely speed focused and then that speed will leak into your regular swing during your normal practice
@@kylemackenzie3769 oh dah, yeah everyone knows that end bit of what you said and as for your BS about speed training only being about speed, what was the first 10 swings to set a base line! That wasn't speed training, so warming up with natural and cooling down with natural would give and show a gain.
I have a golf net and foam balls with a t mat set up in my living room because it rains a lot where I’m at. My speed accuracy have improved. Foam balls aren’t going to be as good to practice with as real balls but still mimics the same movements
Fair question. IMO it's all about maintaining flexibility and some lower body strength. I'm 54, and cruise at 172 ball speed, but I stretch twice a day for 30 minutes, and work out daily. If you get a chance, look for videos on here of the young tour guys working out. They get after it every day they're not in a tournament. Stretching, core, squats, everything.
You guys aren't pros tho. If he was hitting less club into greens it would make a huge difference. You can't honestly say hitting it further wouldn't be better, ya'll are just b.s.ing
@@MarkMyWordsXx Huh? What are you going on about? No is saying that distance isn't better. It is obvious that the more speed/distance is better for your game. No one is BSing that. We are discussing injuries here....
@@MarkMyWordsXxit’s really two fold. Gaining the speed to be 15-20 yards longer off your drive will also give you a faster iron speed, meaning off his drives he could be netting two clubs lower on his second shot. I’m sure he’d prefer to be hitting an 8i v 6i, 9i v 7i, PW v 8i
Man i want to do this with Kyle so bad!!! Everytime I watch one of these from Kyle, my hearts starts racing and trying to beat out of my chest! Can't believe these folks can do this wild speed training swings with at least a little grunt. Lol
I like watching Kyle push him this will make Block a more dominant player Go get them Blockie. And to see your sons expressions was priceless he proud of his pops
Best shaft flex for speed..? Have decent swing speed; typically use stiff shaft. Should i go extra stiff or regular?? Just bought stealth driver and have a lino xstiff & kailai stiff
Cool video - Berkshire seems like a good dude. Like a few have said at 47 YO how much can your body take. It’s a fine line hopefully they get it right. If he can cruise 167-68 the senior tour in a few years could have a formidable rookie to watch out for. Not tot say he couldn’t make a couple nice paydays on PGA tour first. Think about it what sport can 47 yo compete with 25 YO day in and day out. Golf is one but still a BIG ask.
Kyle takes a more psychological approach in trained folks for speed. It's like we get a sneak peak inside of his own mind for a minute. Problem is people have different internal triggers. I used to be into bodybuilding back in the day. I absolutely hated when somebody was spotting me and telling me how light and easy this lift was about to be. Some people respond well to that though. I would rather you tell me I'm weak and there is no way I'm going to be able to push that weight. Then I would use that anger to take it to a new gear.
I can’t help feeling that Blocky ain’t gonna get good ball speed until he uses the ground properly and doesn’t keep folding his legs under himself as he swings.
doesn't look like tuition to me, all I hear is 'keep pushin' so we can all do this at the range swing for swing just try and hit faster and faster, but to be honest as Michael is hitting at 170 his feet are all over the place, he's rocking before he hits the ball like the long hitters do ... the first bit of tuition comes in round about 14minutes into the video ..
One thing I’ve learned in my short 2 years of Golfing. More speed means more room for error. I take my 285-300 yard straight down the pipe fairway drives all day long. Don’t get me wrong, during a scramble I’d gladly let loose and 365 is hella fun but not consistently good
“That’s my club speed man let’s go” 💀💀💀 Still cannot stop laughing at that 🤣 just a casualllll flex lmaooo
Shit had me rolling too
Blockie raising his floor with the quickness!
So impressive Blockie🟧Excited to see the next speed session! 💯

"that‘s my clubspeed man" -Kyle 🤣🤣
This is awesome. Seeing the results I gotta ask, do you guys have any sort of published routine a guy can do over the winter to build some speed?

Congrats to Michael Block on the PR, i love the content on how to get faster =)
Another great video Kyle you bring the positivity to people and it’s infectious they start to believe and that is dangerous for the status quo.
It's definitely great to see him get the speeds but at 47, how long can his body last? I'm just worried about injuries.
Yup. I’m happy with 260yds where I want them to land. I’m 45 and got some issues holding me back. I’m not looking for 300yds anymore like I used to

Would love to see Michael also work with Martin on the technical side of speed. Then he’s got it from two of the best
Just found your channel …love it ! 👏👏👏
great video! Blockie is the everyman's hero. What a story.
I gave myself a hernia trying to chase speed last year…. I’m wading back into it slowly but surely! Top ball speed before I got hurt 178 mph
I am a few years younger than Blockie. I can guarantee he is hurting the next day after this! I know I would be.
I've gone from 138 to 146 in 1 month (57 yrs old) gaining speed is damn addictive. Next up is to crack the 150 mark.
You will!
This was awesome!!
Good tip out of that was turn shirt buttons up. Don’t chase distance Blockie. 160’s ball speed is plenty for a champions tour run.
Well done Michael. Excellent stuff.
I was a hole Marshall on hole 15 at Oakhill when MB had his hole in one, crazy cool and loud,
Really exciting to see.. hope this converts to his game on tour. He can be unstoppable !!!
Need to make this a series. The Block Bomber. Block Buster.
what is the foot dance in the beginning?? Garrett does that too when he's trying to rip it...the Top Golf swing
I'm looking forward to this video series. 💪💪
What amazing content! Keep it up!
If he gets his fitness going, that will make a huge difference
Who is the caricature with the mullet and and short shorts? Seems intent on making sure he gets camera time.
I love the fact a golf pro who made 15th in a major tournament and slamdunked a hole-in-1 is happy and willing to let someone do a 'golf pro' on him.
I like watching Kyle push him this will make Block a more dominant player Go get them Blockie. And to see your sons expressions was priceless he proud of his pops
Where is he dominant ? More speed will make him longer which should lead to better scores but I don’t think he is dominating any tour.
Mikes gotta sick short game. If he starts bringing the heat off the we could have another old timer winning a major. 😊

Blockie was moving it 🚀
Does a video of Kyle hitting persimmon exist? Would be interesting to see if he could beat Mike Austin’s record
Kyle you are so good ❤ like to see forward Mr Block’s Journey 🏌️♂️⛳️🤓
Did you find there is a sweet spot for driver head weight between mass and ability to swing faster? If so is it 190-195-200g…?

Swing hard through impact while staying loose!
Kyle can get Blockie to set PRs but not me 🙄

Kyle's a pretty good golfer in his own right..l would love to see you 2 guys have a match one of those bomber courses.
Love blockie !
Kyle just brutalized him with the comments lol 😂
Good stuff
Kyle you must train dylan too he hit 215 the other day
I want to hear the Mark McGwire thought lol
Hopefully now blockie can play from where Rory hits it
35 swing cus i dont want you to overhit? I did 135 yesterday, am I doing it wrong? ^^
Blockie with some speed is INTERESTING
imagine these two on a scramble team lol
Kyle is awesome.
Kyle seems like such a nice guy I don't know whether it's easier or harder to take such shit from him
“What I would shoot from where Rory hits it would be stupid. I think I'd be one of the best players in the world.” well now he’s got it #BLOCKIE24
Kyle, you will see me at some point...I'm 49. You probably don't remember me at the PGA Show in 2020.
He's gonna wish he stayed below 170 ball speed when he wakes up the next day. Stiffer than Rory's upper lip about LIV.
Wait, that's not RiffRaff?
Selling the Net Return I see....getting an endorsement? You would definitely be the man for one if you are....and if you are, congrats!!!
That lazy finish was the main thing holding him back, plant harder
be nice to block, kyle
I wanna see Kyle PR on his intensity of shit talking
171 was his best? I'm 58 and can get to 180 with my on course playing speed. Really surprising.
Old man is tired of being out driven by his kid lol
Pls dont hurt my guy
Maybe if you were 170 ball speed you could be on tour 😂😂😂😂
🚀🚀🚀💣💣💣

You missed 5 cuts you had 2 good rounds 😂😂😂😂
BlocKyee!
Some really spiteful comments in here. Credit to both of you for going out of your comfort zones.
Ignore the salty pricks

Sure I hit 330 yd drives straight every single time on the internet😂
Which golf game are you talking about.I can hit 360 sometimes too and have a plus 20 handicap
Kyle did nothing but tell him to swing faster lmao duhhhh
Any guy that hits the ball close to 400 yrds can’t putt. Its in the Bible
OB
Shit 174.6 is 175 my friend
Better work on your ball speed now, 4 in a few years THEY will work on it 4 u!
Exerts to much energy rather be straight fairway finder all day!!! With Elite short game !!!
So all your doin is just telling him to swing harder. Didn't really teach him anything really?
It's not rocket science.
You can tell Kyle hasn’t got a clue about coaching, comes out with some absolute shite. No versatility what so ever.
kyles not really a coach
Nice work,fellas ; “ LETS GO “ ⛳️🏌🏻♂️
Is that Logan Paul in shorts?
