Yeah.. I'm in the market and that atc 17-40 looks great. Little small but yeah, we have loads of vertical so size and weight is kind of important here in the alpine. Wish they made it in 15-45 like the kowa 553/4.
I have had both of those spotters personally. The field of view and ease of use of the ATC completely blows the little Kowa out of the water. The ATC works fantastic with the Magview phone scope and using a high quality phone camera, you can easily make up for the 5x difference in magnification. I've used both on successful sheep hunts.
