How to change the ip address in windows 7 HD

This is how to change the IP address in Windows 7.
To change the IP address you will need to click on the start button, then on Control Panel, Network and Internet, then click on Network and Sharing Center. Now on the left of the window click on Change Adapter settings.
In this window you would right click on the network connection for which you want to change the IP and then select properties.
Another window shows up and you need to select the TCP/IP protocol version 4 and then click on the Properties button.
Another windows shows up and there you can change the IP address, netmask, the default gateway and the preferred DNS servers.
After you finished click on OK then close all the windows.
