The China women's national volleyball team (Chinese: 中国国家女子排球队, or 中国女排 for short) represents the People's Republic of China in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Chinese Volleyball Association. They are one of the leading and most successful squads in women's international volleyball, having won ten championships titles in the three major international competitions of volleyball, including five World Cups (1981, 1985, 2003, 2015, 2019), two World Championships (1982, 1986) and three Olympic titles (1984, 2004, 2016). The current head coach is Lang Ping.
China took five consecutive World titles in the 1980s. Although it experienced an unstable development in the 1990s, the team won the World Cup title in 2003, 2015 and 2019, also captured the gold medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016, the Chinese women's volleyball team won the "Best team" award in the CCTV sportsmanship competition.

Yuan is definitely the loudest... lol, her skills've been improved so much since Rio. But Yan Ni is still the best middle blocker we have. There is a reason that she is called the North Great Wall of China... Can't wait for Tokoyo Olympic 2020...

Wonderful! how this Chinese women's team has evolved a lot over the years. All holders are over 1,90 cm tall and will increase even more in the coming years.

Yuan Xinyue and Yan Ni are obviously going to be on the Olympic roster for Tokyo, but I wonder who else Lang will bring. She can choose from Hu Mingyuan, Wang Yuanyuan, Yang Hanyu, or Gao Yi (according to the 2021 training roster). Hu is the best in attack out of those 5, but lacks in height and block. Hu's serves are also very effective, which is notable. Yang is the tallest, but I think her plays have been mediocore recently. Wang isn't super outstanding either, attacks seem lazy and weak sometimes. The last time Gao got lots of time on the national team was in 2017, where her blocks were amazing but her form for attack was weird. I know she played for Shanghai during the CVL last year, but I haven't been watching her too much. Zheng Yixin wasn't on the 2021 roster, but her attacks were also good. It's weird, the two shorter MB (Hu and Zheng) have better attack. I feel like Lang would go with Wang, just because she was a part of Tianjin's club. I'm hoping Gao can make an impactful return. Regardless, I hope China can put together the best lineup for the Olympics!
That being said my favorite is Xu Yunli, I feel like she was well rounded in block and attack.
