Personally there's nothing wrong with owning a huge number of pets, as long as they're properly looked after, fed, loved and that the environment they're in is well-maintained.
yeah there's a lot of people who "rescue" cats only to lock them in a filthy crowded house but this guy is actually making sure his cats have space to be alone and lots of enrichment

Totally agree. It is easy to slide into hoarding and we are very aware of our limits, both in resources and time. People want to save them all (including me) but there is no point if you lose the joy by being overwhelmed

You can really tell that he hasn't just gotten them for his own pleasure, but for THEIR pleasure. Only someone who truly love animals are willing to turn their entire house around into a playzone. The way they are all acting around him, happy, comfortable and calm really shows that they love their human friend. Because it really feels like he doesn't see himself as an owner or the hero but just as he has allowed this big pack of cats to have a happy life and he just happens to live there aswell. I loved this video!

My husband grew up with cats and he just loves all cats, dogs he finds are to demanding and need lots of play time, cats on the other hand will play with you for a while and then pat you on your head and send you on your way 😹😹😹well that’s we have felt with our fur babies over the past 30 years.
I love cats now more than dogs. After having two, their attitude of not caring whether i am around them is what attracts me to them. My cat loves me because i let him do his own thing, play with him daily, and allow him to do what he wants. It's a healthy exchange of respect and love on both of our sides. Love my kitty lots. 🐈❤

Nice idea. But most cat treats have bad ingredients. The only quality cat foods are purina one. And hills science diet.

Pet owners should always check the ingredients to make sure it's natural, and doesn't contain grains, artificial flavors, any ground up "meal" ingredients, and artificial dyes. Raw pet food is a good choice if you're looking to avoid those, like freshpet

The laws in some states that limit your cats to to 6.. saying no one can take care of more then 6 is hog wash..they can't truly know unless they inspect your home and see the healthy pets..who is animal control to assume this ..I see plenty of people enjoying and caring for 10 to 2o cats including me who don't deserve to be harassed about having to many pets..too many is dependent on the person

This is a touching video as well as a great example of what NOT to do. I generally love what @GeoBeats Animals produces, but as far as this video goes @GeoBeats Animals is being extremely irresponsible.
To all those people who think this is such a wonderful video, you do realize that animal hoarders actually love animals? We've all seen shows on animal hoarding and we've seen that quite a few of them started off just like this guy trying to "help" animals in need, and before they knew it they had gotten in way over their heads. Some of them don't even realize they are in over their head until animal control knocks on their front door, or if they do realize it they don't know how to get out of it. By the time animal control gets involved the animals have already suffered greatly, and their situation has become perfect material for the Animal Hoarders type shows.
Even with this guy it wouldn't take very long for his situation to change from people excitedly saying "this guy is really cool!" to people angrily saying "how could he be so cruel, he needs to be locked up"
So I wonder how many animal hoarders are going to be created as a result of this video ("If this guy can do it I can do it too!!") I would imagine quite a few.
Note: I'm not speaking of situations where the hoarding is a result of breeding gone bad (puppy mills.) Most of them did end up finding themselves in over their heads, but they started off contributing to the problem of too many domesticated animals way before things got out of hand and they found themselves facing animal control. This video would have very little influence on those type of people.
Mr.Robo yes I agree you have legitimate concerns. However, did you notice how clean and well organized the house was?. I think we need to look at the surroundings for the cats and what I see is an A+. Please understand I am not putting your opinion down I know we are all entitled to one.

I'm happy he mentioned shy kittens 🥺 My little Tiger Lily was the runt and ran away from dogs and people, so no one wanted to adopt her. I was even supposed to take her brother instead of her. But after the kittens had a long night of fevers from a vaccine, I realized how much she wanted to be held and loved. Now she's a registered ESA in my college dorm, and she gives endless cuddles and conversations all morning and night.

I would love to know Peter. Anyone who's this good to his cats is definitely my kind of person. So many things he says exactly mirror my own feelings. I started bringing home stray cats at about age 7 and I currently have four beloved cats who started life as kittens of a feral mom. I knew when I left that job nobody would care for and feed them so I got a trap and, one by one I took each to my vet for an 'all clear'. I dream of customizing my house to better suit them, but it's costly if you can't do the work yourself. I'll keep working toward implementing some of those ideas. Meanwhile, I talk to them all and my cats love that attention.
I too was never a cat person til I bought a house that came with 6 cats. They are really the only people that I look forward when coming home. They come & hang out with me when I clean the yard, I never feel alone when they’re around.

My cat just passed 2 days ago and I’ve been grieving ever since, can’t seem to get myself together. This video warmed my heart so much because he gets how special cats really are, and how ones life can truly benefit from just a little cat. May this man live a long and prosperous life.

Wonderful video! I had 26 cats for many years and loved taking care of them. I couldn’t make their living space as wonderful as yours (rental property) but they all loved it. I miss them all terribly-I lost them one by one due to natural causes-and only have one now, a lovely tuxedo boy who will be 13 this summer. All my cats have been spayed/neutered and kept indoors only, and always up to date with their medical care. I’m unable to add to my family due to age and disability, but watching you with your cats cheers me up immeasurably. Thank you so much for sharing your family!

Harriet I am so sorry! I know you miss them. I had 27 cats and eight dogs when I was 8 (*MANY* moons ago), then my parents split up, Mom moved us to the next state, and I had to leave the critters in the backwoods where we came from. I was beyond sad, but now thinking about it as an adult, they came out of the woods and they knew they could hide under the house in bad weather. What this man is doing is so admirable! How many adults are there who can and are willing to do this for God's little creatures! I am also reaching the age that I will have to stop taking care of kitties and other little creatures. Post Covid Syndrome might bring it to an end sooner. Still, I am happy to have been of use to 4-legged and 2-legged creatures during my stay on this planet!🤗😊

My girlfriend and I are currently at 5 cats, that 'run the house' 🙂 We used to have 4 cats (all guys - 3 saved from the street, 1 adopted from a shelter), but after one of them, my beloved 24h-a-day companion, passed away in late April 2020, the whole flat felt a bit empty. So, we took one mother-less stray from her grandparents' garden (poor fellow was really tiny and quite malnourished) and later, she saved an orphaned girl-kitten from the nearby cemetery (a historic one, it's more of a park now). And last year, we re-modelled and installed a few 'things' inside to provide them with more jump & hide & fool-around & relax places. Considering how vital, energetic and happy they are today, it definitely paid off for all of us.

This guy is the patron saint of rescue kitties. I have 4 rescue cats now I've adopted over 15 years. It's a lot of work and expense taking care of them but we think it's worth it. I can't imagine dealing with 24 kitties. I would be overwhelmed. I converted my back patio into a "catio" last year and that's been a big help. It give us and the cats more room to sprawl. They are strictly house cats so this way they get some outdoor time. I even have flower pots with catnip and wheat grass in the catio for them. Thanks for the video.

I love this man. He is living my dream life. But first I have to get a home of my own, living in rented properties is impossible. My cats(2) are my first priority, and I cannot stand the ignorance of landlords and agents who say 'no pets' when it's been proven, study by study, how we need animals as much as they need us. Wonderful man, making a difference, one cat at a time.
