He never thought of running for public office as most Filipino celebrities do, and gained the respect of his countrymen because he doesn’t pretend to know anything else but his favorite game for which he is famous for. Efren is happy with his honest money and adoring billiards fans. I hope he lives many more years to continue entertaining the world with his skill.

Great memories , his son is my daughter co-worker as a nurse in Angeles ,Pampanga.And his dad say's just roaming around and play billard and chess in neighborhood.
He's a master like no other, not just his consistency which is amazing but his ability to make incredibly difficult shots, I started at 8 years old but only wish I had 1/4 of his magic, that nickname is well deserved

Mark of a true sportsman, a true champion. The best part win or lose he wins the hearts and admiration of the people watching and of his opponent. Simply put WOW!
