That would be pretty cool. I'm looking at mini-vans for moving cargo but they are primarily people-movers with lots of cup-holders, plastic, seats, and USB ports that I don't need. This promaster van is closer to what I need but I think it may be too crude, noisy, bad ride and handling. I guess I'll have to test drive one to see.
Yes! I Have been thinking the same thing! I drive a Dodge Ram Promaster 3500 Custom Delivery Van (CDV) for Amazon. Basically Utilimaster completely strips down a Dodge Ram cargo van and attaches a big box to the back. I wish so much that they would get their hands on these Dodge Ram City's and make a CDV out of them. I don't see why not. Perhaps extra tall people wouldn't be able to stand up without ducking their head a bit ... not a big problem! And they would probably almost-double their storage capacity in the back, while making the passenger side into a walk-in entry for the driver. And the benefits are: to keep the nimble and compact size of the Dodge Ram City van, and ... well, it would just be AWESOME! Omg it would look so cool.
doesn't feel like a big cargo van .. cause its not lol .. if you think thats small .. try than nissan Nv200 its even smaller, I have the 2015 city van .. someday I will get upgraded to a new one The rear backup cam is pretty good .. but wtf dont any of them make a rear cam on the top looking down so you can actually see wtf is going on behind you. And no side sensors.. this should be standard on these vans these days, Even more so on the vans with no rear windows. The top storage shelf also needs a taller cargo net, I upgraded mine with an additional cargo net with a velcro strap .. and the rear mirrors if you are tall are crap .. I had to add additional side mirrors.. 240k miles on my 2015 .. Its just keeps going .. Id recommend one to anyone
I average 21 mpg like my big high top Sprinter 3.0 diesel. I never got over 22 mpg even on a 1500 straight through highway only trip. Mine is 2015. We need an 8’ bed for plywood and sheetrock! Rated at 29 mpg highway. Nope! I have 30,000 miles. Red Cargo. Great condition. $17,000 for sale. All dealer service. Florida. No snow or salt. Kept clean. Fiberglass bulkhead available.
ChrisSoCalm you guys don’t know what your in for. It’s not a Ram it’s a Fiat. Made in Italy. Worst van in history. The Nissan nv200 suspension engine and over all ride is the right choice.
@Drum Flip this is the best comment I ready today. I just bought a 2019 Ram Promaster City and I'm so glad I did. The Ford version when compare side by side is definitely bigger. The only difference is the Ford has extra seats in back but that's about it
thats an euro cargo van its a fiat doblo/opel-vauxhall combi in europe and north africa and south america they got a lot of models like the peugeot partner/citroen berlingo , renault kangoo/dacia dokker , ford transist toreno smaller than the connect in the size of promaster city also the most reliable one of them is the volkswagen caddy with 1.9 tDI four cylinders
I had one of these. A 2018. Not pure junk like the Nissan NV, but not as good as the Transit Connect. Ignition switch problems are commonplace, and that 9 speed transmission is junk. I did like the dual slider doors, and the fuel pump access plate on the floor.
I really like these small cargo vans. I’m seriously considering getting one as a daily driver and my sams club Walmart trips. But they really need to call these “unfinished” vans. At least put some sort of hard plastic walls with insulation or something at the factory. Most people wouldn’t mind having that huh? Walls that can take a beating and easy to wipe clean. Also nice durable flooring wouldn’t hurt either. This van needs an autoflash for the transmission and go pedal from madness auto works! Lol. Check them out. I got them for my Jeep renegade with the same engine and transmission like this van
They're designed to be upfitted. They don't add things like that because 99% of customers will just rip it out to install their custom shelving or whatever. If you want flooring and walls and stuff you have to put it in yourself. In fact, you'd do better to just buy a passenger van and remove the seating.
I never had a problem with the sliding door track. The speedometer sucks! You cannot see it. If you drive 10 and 2, you cannot see. Get cruise control! It drives the best of all of them. My battery died after less than one year. Tires wear well. I have a 2015. Zero infotainment and backup camera. Sucks.
Ohh my man. You didnt drive the original body Fiat Doblo, from where this doodge originally came from. Doblo has 1.3 diesel amd 1.6 gas inline 4 engines with 90hp. And you still says that doodge underpowered?
What other competitors this cargo van has? Can anybody tell me other brands of cargo vans I should review, I’m trying to see what vans will be good to use for Amazon delivery vans?
My 2016 ProMaster City has a terrible Multi-Air engine with 9-speed combination. The transmission currently gets stuck whenever it gets into 8th gear. Only way to un-stick it from this gear is to get car into park or turn off engine. The oil pan rusted a hole right through it. What idiot is using such cheap parts. The rest of the car interior and ride are very good.
WARNING ! This car is a piece of junk, there is only 10K miles on mine and everything is falling a part ! The manufacturer does not want to fix anything because the "warranty" is over. DO NOT BUY THAT CAR !
Is someone timing you, or are you just on lots of RedBull? Is it just because people your age have such short attention spans that you have to talk fast or they wander off? Whatever it is I find it just annoying!
too bad that chrysler doesn't make a cargo version of the Pacifica; 2 seats , finished interior ,AWD ,under $ 35 K
That would be pretty cool. I'm looking at mini-vans for moving cargo but they are primarily people-movers with lots of cup-holders, plastic, seats, and USB ports that I don't need. Aga be enişteye bak Bursa'dan Amerigaya göç etmiş helal
It looks like a Fiat Doblo...isn't it??A good van for courier companies.
Nice vehicle to review. 👍👍
Yes this is fiat doblo. Produced in fiat mega factory in Turkey, It's just a different name and different engine.
Please review a Ford Transit Connect long wheelbase. I'd love to how you compare it to the Promaster City. Thanks!
I used one of these to make deliveries in the hills. it's pretty fun and zippy.
I’m looking for one to live in.
Do you happen to know if the driver seat has lumbar support? Is the seat comfortable in your opinion?
If this is slow, wonder how much slower the transit connect is. My Friend got rid of his connect because it lacked power compared to the pro-city.
Would be SO cool if they’re offer a high roof.

I had one, they idle harder than my F150 and hit bumps like a brick!
Yeah.. most four bangers idle harder than the v6/v8 . It’s something I’ve never gotten completely used to.
what is the distance from the inside of the rear door to the arm rest?
Whats the leg room like compared to the promaster 1500 ?

Lol
These cars are produced by fiat-tofas Mega factory in Turkey.
can you tell me if the promaster city cargo van does the back windows go down?
not in this version but theres an option for that
It's a cargo van. Would of been nice to know the dimensions of the cargo area 🤔
Ram has their own website and they list all the information on there
How many liters is the engine of the car in this video?
Is the 9 speed automatic transmission made by GM?
lol what
Yes
Having driven both, I'd choose a Transit Connect over this any day.
Why?
I own a transit connect. 19,000 miles had two engine issues already just got it back from the shop today. Gonna be making a switch soon.
@Drum Flip this is the best comment I ready today. I just bought a 2019 Ram Promaster City and I'm so glad I did. The Ford version when compare side by side is definitely bigger. The only difference is the Ford has extra seats in back but that's about it

the people who are driving the van are at work not at home!!!
