Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series: Requiem The Final Episode (A fan made production) Revised

- It became necessary to change some music in the original video in order to avoid 3rd party monitization and ads ruining the viewing experience.
The Final episode of the 1980s Saturday morning cartoon Dungeons and Dragons. From a script written by series writer Michael Reaves. Fully animated by using original footage from the series. Dialog from the DVD radio show released in 2006 by BCI eclipse. With original cast member Katie Leigh graciously reprising her role of Shelia. Music reconstructed from the original series (with varying degrees of success) The creators of this episode are fans first, amateur animators second. There are many things I wish could have done differently in this presentation, but I am very proud of what we have accomplished and it is my hope that those who love this cartoon as much as we do will be pleased with what we have put together. THAT WAS ASTOUNDING!!!!! I can't believe that here, at the age of 53 I'd live to see the serious finale of a beloved cartoon! A millions applauses and a billion thankyous!!!! What a joy!
And I at 49 yrs😄
I thought the same thing. I am so glad I finally got to see the finale of such a beloved cartoon I watched as a kid. This is well put together.
I'm 44 and I am privileged to see the ending. I saw the beginning when it premiered in Singapore before it got pulled off the air. I saw more episodes from the Malaysian side but never expected to finally see the real ending. Thank you Zetavio Deloryan for putting this altogether.
@Christopher Hogan , yeah, there are so many possibilities. Presto probably didn't have a family that he's close to or he probably thinks that when he becomes a full fledge wizard, he will be able to open a portal back to Earth on his own. If you have seen Brazil's Renault Kwid advertising, Presto looks like some one very familiar.
He looks like Harry Potter right? We do not know Presto's real name. When I look up James Potter's date of birth and when Presto and the rest of the kids went on the Dungeons and Dragons ride, James Potter would probably be a young boy at best. So Presto could be James Potter.........
My feelings as a sixty-one year old too!
46 years old and that brought a tear to my eye to finally get an ending to something I loved so much as a child. My soul needed that. Thank you so much to whoever made and shared this.
After 40 years I finally get to see them make it home it's a joy thanks .. I've never missed an episode when I was a child watching this on Saturday was and always be my favorite ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have the Dungeons & Dragons complete set and I loved this show from the 80s growing up . I just finished the remaining episodes last night and just watched this. Omg this was AMAZING it gives the show so much closure plus it left it open for Dungeon Master call on the kids for help again . I loved this so much .
I loved this cartoon as a kid and when it went off the air it just left me hanging. Thank you for completing the story.
Wow, it's like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one - good things really do come to those who wait.
Thank you for this, I waited over 30 years for this closure! What a fantastic gift. Now I can die in peace. :)
The movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, brought me here but this was also something I watched when I was a kid coming home after school in the 80's. I'm now 51 and this took me right back haha!
Incredible work and perseverance to get this made.
You have done the series and the fans proud.
Thank you to all involved.
Just finished watching the series. This has to be my favorite episode. Thank you for putting in the hard work to give D&D the ending it deserved.
That. Was. EPIC. I finally have closure after some 40+ years.
I felt like I was 12 again watching my Saturday morning cartoons and this was one of the best. I was mad it came to a end with only 1 season and the last episode not even made witch I didn't know till I was older. Thank you.. gonna sign up to see what else you have.
With so many 80's shows getting the revival treatment, it makes perfect sense that someone like Titmouse should revive THIS series.
I mean...if things like She-Ra, He-Man, all the Transformers revivals and even the most recent X-Men revival can be a success; I have faith the same could be said for THIS show
That was absolutely amazing! I grew up watching D&D on Saturday mornings like so many others who posted here and I’m also glad I wasn’t the only one tearing up watching this fan made last episode. Bravo sir! This is cannon for me now! This was that great!
Amazing! Great job. Was hoping to see final episode realized for so long and here it is.
That was amazing, the ending honestly brought a tear to my eye. Thank you so much for making this and giving us closure after all these years.
Seen it about seven times already. That's how much of a fan I was when I was a kid. Loved the episode. Great work! 👍
I have the 2004 Contender region 2 DVD 📀 release, so the Requiem feature only covers the work at that time ⌚ it also has the same series 1 opening titles on every episode. I always hoped that a Blu-ray release would happen that had a version of the final episode as such like we have been lucky enough to see hear with the series two opening titles in place, plus digital restored with HD Upscaling.
Thanks for uploading this. My whole life I wondered, would those kids ever return home?
Wow. This is amazing. I never thought I'd get to see an ending to this show. It was one of my favorites from growing up. Thank you. I recently joined a dungeons and dragons facebook group. So if anybody didn't know there's a group on Facebook that discusses, post video clips

Fabulous 🥰🥰 would of been nice to see carena with venger at the end and off corse zandora bust be there mum 😁👌
I hate seeing things come to an end but it feels even worse when something isn't given a proper ending. This fulfilled a childhood dream I've wanted for a long time.
I was born in 1977, and loved this show in the 80s. What a great result. Well done. This 46 year old is one happy man

As you can see you've touched so many people by making this. Theres a whole generation that grew up loving every second of this series and you gave every one of us something we never thought wed see Thank you so much, from the bottom of all our hearts.

I also searching for it long time but i dont know its name.
Can i get it in hindi language??

This made me tear up so much. Me and my mom loved watching D&D when I went as a kid and we’d dress up the part. I’d have my little bow and arrows and my mom dyed a sheet the same color as Shelia’s cloak. My dad would walk by when she was wearing it and standing next to her ask me where she was, I always told him I couldn’t see her she’s invisible. About 5 years after the “final” episode aired she died of a massive heart attack
I just watched the true final episode and in my minds eye I was a kid again watching D&D with my mom.
Thank you so much for making this
I've just watched it today for the 1st time after all these year's and I feel the same way about my dad. He used to watch it with us and sadly he's not alive anymore. I wish i could pick up the phone, call him, and tell him all about it. I've finally got closure to one of my favourite childhood cartoons
Sorry to both of you for your loss. I hope watching D&D brings you many happy memories of times with your parents
So sorry for your loss - your folks sound like they were the best.
I'm from Brazil and this cartoon was a big hit here, I mean HUGE hit! Pretty much like He-Man, She-ra and Thundercats. It aired daily for years. We would watch each episode over and over again and never got tired of 'Caverna do Dragão' (Dragon's Cave in English, its title here). I believe it was even bigger here than it was in US (the video with the version of this dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese has more than 2 millions views.) These characters are very dear to us, so finally being able to watch the final episode is like a dream come true. Thank you so much for this! You guys did a wonderful job! 🤩😍

Not to long ago I found the complete series of Dungeons and Dragons at my local flea market many moons ago. It was only $5 and I knew the moment I picked it up that my life would change forever. I watched the entire series back to back and was struck with sadness as there was no conclusion to the show, learning of its cancellation afterwards. I even listen and read the comic of the last episode Requiem, but your piece of work is what gave me the closure I truly needed. Finally I can close the book on this wonderful show and I only wish I was born earlier to see it on Saturday morning cartoons back in the day.
Dungeons and Dragons have been a new staple into my family recently. We've began to play almost once a week with new stories and adventures, I even run as the Dungeon Master!! But forevermore I will hold onto these adventures close to my heart, both my family and this Show.
Thank you for making this possible.
I remember hurrying home from school to watch it that & Starfleet
I watched all the episodes on TV couldn't wait for the next episode each week
Ahh, welcome Dungeon Master. May your tales be epic and may your players forever have fond memories of their adventures with you.
Amazing!
Congratulations on a creating a phenomenal final episode. When the show was cancelled all those years ago I dont think anyone could have anticipated someone would be able to finish it off to such a high standard and satisfying conclusion
1972....52 years old and now an open chapter my my childhood is finally closed. You've done an amazing thing here for all us gen X kids! Thank you!!😊😊
We now mourn for Michael Reaves, the man who made this show possible, as well as gave us closure to this beloved series. RIP.
It’s very sad. I watched many of his shows
Suddenly, this becomes a fine tribute to the memory of Reaves.
He’d be proud of his disciples here who carried out his hope this would get the satisfactory conclusion it always deserved

He wrote some of the best episodes for the show. Recently went back through it with a friend. Loved how he put the characters in scenarios that not only challenged their goals but also their relationship to Dungeon Master.

Thank you. This was done very well.
Thank you for making this! I had read the script but great to see it as a complete episode. Finally some closure after 30 years or so....
The funny thing was, all these years later I started rewatching with my daughter, she was seeing the series for the first time. As we finish the series you post this, so for her it was complete in one go!!
I told my mother who always watched it with me when i was young about this and even she was excited to see it
Thank you for this!
P.S. You absolutely nailed it with Presto reuniting with Varla, and Bobby wearing Terry's locket. Thank you again so much. To this day, this is still my favorite cartoon series. Thank you for giving it so much respect. ❤️
Diana should have stayed as well to be with Kosar.
Yes, because Terry's dream will come true to be reunited with Bobby
Yeah I had forgotten about Varla but Bobby putting on the locket was a great touch.
Teri's pendant at the end was just... amazing.

After 40 long years, the children have finally completed their quest of saving the entire Dungeons and Dragons. This is an event that Dungeon Master and his son Venger will not forget. But eventually, remembered. 🇵🇭

Wow... after 35 years I finally get to watch the series finale. Not gonna lie, gave me some misty eyes. So very much appreciated, thank you.
I was a kid when this was on tv...watched it cause of my older brothers sat morning! Nice to see an ending!!!! Awesome to see Venger talk how Dungeon master was the one who was screwing them! Lol
I absolutely love how Eric is the one that gets the hero moment at the end and it's his decision that frees everyone from the realm. He was always my favourite character.
Thank you so much for the amazing job you did with this production!
In my head Eric was going to be that guy even before I saw this. Eric was always my fave character on the show
Even though I read the original script years ago that was fantastic you should all be really proud. That worked so well,....nice little touch with bobby's locket and Presto's story. From this point Presto could be a guide for a new group of children to come to the realm. Glad it had an ending and you still kept the story alive. Thanks guys.
You don't by chance have a brother named Daniel, do you?
No sorry
Sorry. My brother in law Daniel has a sister named Michelle (maiden name)-Thoburn.
No problem
They should have then allowed Diana to go be with Kosar, since he was her "love interest".
OMG Venger is dungeon master's son and the heroes are redeemers! I am completely blown away by this amazing last episode. As a small boy in the '80s there was no cartoon I looked forward to more than the dungeons & dragons series. This work is impressive to say the least. I'm struggling to find words that can appropriately transmit my feelings of appreciation for what you've done here. Thank you so much for finishing this series and giving it an ending that truly lives up to my expectations. Many blessings to you (whomever you are, I'm guessing it took more than one person to put this together) and all of your endeavors in the future.
It's never stated though wether venger is his biological son or adoptive
It’s alluded to vaguely in The Dragon’s Graveyard “ when the kids defeat Venger and Dungeon Master says, “ Rise, my “
And another time Dungeon Master says to himself, “ We all make mistakes, Venger was mine.”

It is the best of all time. They should have finished the season with the Requiem episode. I will never understand why they didn’t do this, only one more episode.
So right ! I loved this show so much, thank you crew for sticking it out, and making this happen......well.done !
I can imagine Eric returning to his home life, getting back to his education, probably getting groomed for a position in his father's business, a position that he probably never wanted but it was put upon him, and now feeling miserable about it all. And deep down he is now missing the Realm.
So, when Dungeon Master calls him and the other kids back, Eric exclaims "I didn't ask to come back here!" But Dungeon Master, already knowing Eric's true feelings says with a smile "Oh, but you did, Cavalier. You told me so before you returned home. I quote 'oh yeah, we don't wanna miss that'.
Eric is initially annoyed, but even he can't help but grin at Dungeon Master's reply, and being back in the Realm.
Perfect. So good to be young again in the Realm.
Perhaps all the kids will return to the Realm when they each come of age (which for most of them was not far away). Cause it looked like Hank wanted to stay.
Maybe Presto makes it possible for them after perfecting his magic skills.
With happy endings, there's always an encore. By all means, let's have a return to "Dungeons & Dragons". All the children will have grown up, and truly devote themselves to the misadventure they detested in their youth. Please don't change Uni where we wouldn't recognize her anymore.
Well its better if they grow up, finally takes weapons and a not only "SHIELD" and big wood stick.
Reminds me alot of the Chronicles of Narnia.

When I was last online, (literally, over a decade ago!) This episode had a Fan made "Radio Show" Styled "Audio Only" version, but, I NEVER though that I'd Ever see It actually Animated!
THANK YOU 💕
Ah, yes, that radio show was made as an extra for the American DVDs, released in 2006 (so it wasn't fan-made, even though most of the cast was different from the original episodes). Almost all of the voice acting for this episode was taken from there. =)
I usually don’t comment but this is a special moment for the dungeon and dragons animated series and its long time, hard-core fans. We have waited several decades for these thoughts and ideals to reemerge on the video screen. Many thanks go out to all those involved in this phenomenal production and grand finale to one of the finest cartoons series that I can recollect in my 46 year existence on our planet.
Not only does Venger's redemption arc begin here, so does Presto's. He still needs to make up for that time he lost Uni gambling!
I like the idea that the first step of Vengers redemption is training Presto. Something he promised (duplicitously) in the very first episode The Night of No Tomorrow.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@zetaviodeloryan5381 Do not forget about chapter 19, The last Illusion, where Dungeon Master told Presto that he will find his "home" with Varla, wich means he would marry her.
@@maximopaz4126 yes!
This is incredible! You should be very proud of this. It is so good to finally see a happy ending where these kids make it home. I especially like the part at the end of the credits where you see them coming through the portal. I can imagine how happy they must be now to be able see their friends and family again :)
Very, very well done.
Thank you for posting this!
Whoever made this, had this 48/49 year old Man feel like the 8/9 to 11 year old who watched it faithfully every Saturday morning on CBS .....Thanks
OMG... I used to watch Dungeons and Dragons when it first came out and was so disappointed that it never got a PROPER ending.... until NOW... thank you ..
I happened to come across this while searching for another cartoon I remember watching Saturday mornings, and can say I'm glad I did. I always wondered if the children were able to return home. Thanks for answering/showing this for me!
I can't believe 30+ years later I finally see the conclusion to this series. Hayfever is strong for some reason tonight... 😪
suddenly got a bit dusty in here too . . .
Es un trabajo espectacular, mil gracias por compartir este trabajo a todos esos fans que crecimos con esta serie, ver el final llega el corazón de alegría, al fin pudieron regresar a casa ❤️
I’m 49 years old and I’m so glad I got to see the final end of Dungeon and Dragons. Been waiting for a long time. 👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Wow, just wow. Of all shows I watched as a kid that had unresolved endings this was the first one that gave me closure. Granted it took 40 years but you got it done. Much appreciated.
Better late than never!
Simply Fantastic!! Fantastic ending of a fantastic dream long overdue. After all these years and all the things between, there are those who still believe in hope and happy endings. "All of us are in the realm of Dungeons & Dragons, trying to find our way home." Thank you much Zeavio Deloryan....you are a true friend of the crown!
Thank you so much for this labour of love. I enjoyed the original series immensely and it's one of the many reasons that I got into D&D in the first place. I read the script for Requiem many years later but never expected it to be animated. The circle has closed, the campaign has finished successfully.
0:31 i have always loved the sound effect for shiela's hood. the sound originated from captain cold's ice gun in challenge of the superfriends and went on to be featured in many other series since then.
Yeah I like that sound
That’s my text alert tone,
@@TayWoode how were you able to customize the sound for your text alert?
@@aztecolatino I keep trying to send the link but got reported for spam 🙄 so I’ll try and explain.
Search for cartoon spell effects, look for the orange screen on the thumbnail and it’s the last sound around 2:33. It’s slowed down as it’s been used on other cartoons so I pitched it up an octave and added a bit of reverb and eq to clean it up and added one of the other effects that make it sound like a sweep up when she disappears. I hope that helps 👍🏾
@@TayWoode i will give it my best. thank you! i remember that spiderman and his amazing friends series would also use the sound in reverse in the episodes that featured sunfire, thor and the episode titled "7 little superheroes."
Well done everyone, you have made a lot of fans of the original show happy with this. What a great ending with Presto staying behind. If only they had made this first time round. Thanks.
Outstanding!! Years ago I bought a D&D boxset with all episodes including a featurette for Requiem, set to be either the show's finale or bridge to another series, but was never made! The DVD had the script to read and I later listened to it on UA-cam, but finally it has been put into animation!
I so wish this episode had been made as it ties up loose ends. There are hints all through the series that Venger is Dungeon masters son. Also, it explains why Dungeon master always seemed half-hearted in wanting to help the kids get home. He needed them as much as they needed him. This video is beautifully made. It's in keeping with the style of the series.
Remember the very first episode? Presto wanted to stay with Merlin and his white “hair” who was Venger in disguise and here he stays with the redeemed Venger who is now called Merlin
@@TayWoode Full circle
@@benfisher1376 exactly! I only realised when I watched the first one with my cousin’s son a few months ago and thought wow they’ve planned this whole story from the start and also in a few episodes Presto says he doesn’t have nice parents who are always criticising him calling him useless and he’d rather stay in the realm and use his magic to help others
@TayWoode It was such a good series. The animation has dated a bit I suppose, but the storytelling, music, monsters and characters are still great.
This show deserved having this done for it. Thank you for the huge effort that must have been involved, and for making a lot of nostalgic people happy old sods.
Truly an outstanding job! This was my favorite Saturday morning show and was bummed out when it got canceled. I’m 50 and enjoyed this episode immensely. Thank you for bringing a fitting end to a great story.
I waited my whole life for that thank you! I'm 53 years old and shead a tear I've been saving for a special moment, and that was it.
A very happy 49 year old has just had a blast from the past …. Thanks for this. 👌👌👌
So this is how it ends. The story is complete. A beautiful end to a beautiful show, one which has entertained me, enriched me and inspired me. Thank you, Dungeons and Dragons.
I loved the final episode - thank you! I fondly remember watching the cartoon on Saturday mornings in the 80s. I've been patiently waiting for more D&D cartoon content for decades. I'd still love to play a video game based on the cartoon. Or how about a movie with Anthony Hopkins as Dungeon Master? Maybe an HBO series? There is money to be made and some wonderful content to be created! I read a lot of LITRPG fiction to try to tide me over but there is always a special place in my heart for this cartoon. Still my all time favorite after all these years...
this has finally completed my childhood 🙌 ❤
Yeah2 me too...i thought i, never see the end of this madness....oh that dungeon master son quite have a good looks 😆😂
Watch the credits all the way thru!!
Thanks for posting this. If you made the animation then double thanks.
@@McMahonHater yep! This was a 4 year long project. Glad you liked it!
@@zetaviodeloryan5381 I downloaded it, I wish I still had my DVD maker. Great job, I just wish it had the original voice actors. But hey, what can you do, right?

@@McMahonHater katie leigh returned to reprise her role as bobby and sheila as she did in the original series as did frank welker for Uni so there were 2 original voice actors that returned. At least the producers did their best to make the voices sound as much like the originals as possible
A magnificently well-done finale, with a happy and satisfying ending, and no senseless violence - a lost art…
That’s how to make a grown man cry. Childhood complete.
Excellent work
I'm so happy this randomly appeared in my suggested viewing after watching a video about the He-Man reboot. Thank you so much for bringing closure to this magnificent series that I loved so much as a child (and still as an adult!) I have the boxed set, which included the script for Requiem, but never expected to actually be able to see it on screen. You have truly done a magnificent thing here: thank you, thank you, thank you.
I think the ending was done very well by the people behind this last episode. I can absolutely believe that Presto out of all the bunch would choose to stay to continue practicing magic. He always seemed kinda less concerned with going home and more interested in the Dungeon Realm from what I remember watching it as a kid. Very good ending, didn't see the son/father angle coming I admit. I believe this is an absolute best ending for the series.
Presto got that hot girlfriend varla going for staying.
From the bottom of my heart thanks to everyone who put their time and efforts into this project.
I listened to the audio when the dvd's came out put this was magic.
Thank you!
They need to stop playing and continue this story has a video game.
