Hey Peter. Wait for the new Duke 250. KTM just updated the Duke 250 with TFT color dash and the DRLs from the 390 as the 2025 edition. Soon should be in Canada and US shores within few months. Cheers!
Nice comparison. Winter cold weather on the way. A slower season for Motorcycle Shops, and ice cream shops too. About to store my bike very soon for the winter. Not safe on the ice, gravel, salt and snow with only two wheels to keep balanced.
In Guatemala it looks slightly different since we are very dense in traffic. I went to look at it today. I am going to purchase the 250. One thing I will disagree with your WHOLE video. This IS NOT a beginner bike. I TRIED IT at the KTM fair, and it pulls HARD after 2nd gear. Like, once you go to rev, it pulls. So someone who doesn’t understand launch control without launch control will 100% full whiskey throttle this bike. Your whole video is amazing, and I absolutely love every single point you make. You could not make an even better video. The part about the tires is 100%, it’s almost like the bike itself wants you to corner. And the brakes seriously grab so hard. ❤❤❤

Duke 250 got tft display and drl's here in india just few days back ....i do have a big confusion either to go for 250 or 390 but now i can easily choose 250 here in Indian roads . which is good at mileage and great at breaking as much as in 390.
is it ok to upgrade from a 125cc scooter to a 390duke? it only takes me 1.5 years to feel like it is not exciting anymore in this 125cc. some people say a 250 is better as a first bike but I don't want to replace my motorcycle every 2/3 year.
Hay I am from India and here we don't have great roads to run your bike over 150kmph what I wanted to know is which would be a better bike and at what speed the engine is stress free for all day long running at the maximum speed possible
I have a 24 390. My 2 complaints are, one the seat comfort is not great. The second is that the "halo" around the head light will shine in your face at night. Other than that it's a great bike that will get you anywhere you need to go and put a smile on your face .
Interesting, I haven’t ridden this at night, I never even thought about that halo being an issue. It’s not like that on all KTM bikes, but I guess it could come into play for some people on these more compact bikes.
The fuel consumption of 250 is just better almost double than the 390.great for commuting. Had both older gen. its good if you are a thrifty person 250 a great canyon carving machine to since its lighter. Both are winner bikes imho
A new young rider should price out the cost of insurance on the two machines. It may or may not be significantly different depending on where you live.
Duke 250 is the kind of bike you take the MSF course on (if you're tall enough). The Duke 390 is the kind of bike you buy after passing your MSF. Unless, of course, you get the 390 Adventure.
I'd agree with you, but that cell phone connectivity with navigational aids in the dash, and a number of other features make this a big step above the typical MSF course bike. If they had it for the courses, it would be, by far, the most fun bike in the course.
Sales falling. Parts service reliability and colours as well as reputation. Too many trick vids not enough quality control and service. Now in administration with 4 billion debt. Waste of great designs by poor management
I can see people choosing the Duke over the CBR300R. Keep in mind the Yamaha R3 is in this category too, and it's a FUN little bike. The Duke 250 impressed me, but when the even more impressive 390 is just up the model line, it's a curious thing to have the 250 available in this market.
@PeterLoweOne yes, but the R3 is not a naked bike, it would have to be the MT-03, but I like the looks of the honda better. I was just comparing the 249cc duke against the honda 286cc, which are more similar in size. But if I was choosing a sport bike, ninja 500 would be my choice over the R3.
KTM Duke 250 Just Got The Latest Updates With
1. Same DRL as Duke 390
2. Same Colour TFT Screen as Duke 390
Here in India Just A Week Ago🎉
also ebony black camei in 250 and it is damn sexyyyyyyyyy
That is a nice, calm review. I love it. For the first time, our Indian version is more up-to-date than the one in another country.
You are literally the best motorcycle reviewer in the world.
That’s definitely not true, but thanks so much for the compliment!

It's already available in India, with tft and drls, it looks sick and they are also planning to launch new color within 2 or 3 weeks

I hope the black wheels are an option in the 390.
Yeah, this version 390 has too much orange, and I'm not a fan of the 'blue' one either really. I could do without the orange rims and seat
That dash is huge improvement on previous 250 one but bit sick 390 one now in 250. 200 and 250s for Asia and S America

@PeterLoweOne It maybe my hight and riding position. The display would block the light for a shorter person.
Is seat height a same ??
Duke 200 gets a tft color display for it’s next gen and it’s already on sale in India

@@PeterLoweOneyes it’s definitely good , I’m getting 35-40 kmpl while the 390 has 25-30 kmpl.
thank you very nice review
250 is more relaxed for daily use and more economical which is issue in Asia. In USA highway bit too fast for 30bhp bike perhaps.
TFT and DRL updates for 250 duke came in india
