Lovely video - thank you! The acorns are adorable and I’m going to make some next year for fall decorations. We are surrounded by oak trees and enjoy watching the deer come into the yard to eat the acorns each fall at dusk. I’m planning some hot water bottles and mini hat, sweater and sock ornaments this Christmas season. I feel like I’ve mastered knitting in the round this year (lots of socks) and want to make some fun ornaments.
I already have so much done for the holidays, but I'm a beginner, only knitting for two years. So some rugs, a chicken I free-drafted, and a lap blanket. Going to make a vest for my dad yet and some fish plushies for my mum. The Big One is going to be stitching together all the squares for my son's blanket. So much to do yet!
Thank you for the great video. I am always looking for tiny gifts to make and put into an advent calender for my mum😊 also a Fliegenpilz is called Fly Agaric in English
Wow, super Timing!
I started knitting winter tree ornaments. Carrots, onions, mushrooms, leafs… sewing on some mini glass pearls and golden hangers… so I appreciate your ideas to add to my collection. 😊
I love all the autumn decoration! I can't wait to knit myself the pupkin spice hot waterbottle cover from Laura Penrose! I'm also planning on knitting four hot water bottle covers for my direct coworkers. I'm looking for mini hot water bottles, but so fare I haven'''t found them, so maybe I'll have to make them big ones.
This comes out at the perfect time ❤️ I'm going to make Christmas tree ornaments as gifts off of my wine red scraps once I've finished my Elisabeth blouses
I’m so happy that you shared all these gift ideas. I plan on making at least one hot water bottle cover, a beret and a wee chicken. And I was just thinking about starting the holiday knits this weekend so you posted these idea at the perfect moment.
I’m glad my timing was good ;) and your plans sound like a lot of fun! will you be making the emotional support chicken or is there another pattern you’re thinking of? happy knitting 🥰
I'm so excited about this KAL, Marlene! I plan on making the Traveler Shell for myself in a bright Christmas red as my holiday sweater that I hope to wear for many, many years of Christmas celebrations. Your bundle inspired me as well; the forest mushrooms look so cute and perfect for my Fall decor! I'm going to add those to my knitting queue for October. 🎉
yay, I love your christmas cardigan plan, Sara! the shell be so wearable with all kinds of different outfits and in any kind of weather too since winters keep getting warmer or the fireplace might be on during the holidays! (:
The tiny Sock is so cute! Last year I made some little cottages by Aga Tutak to put on the gifts for my family. Thank you for this video, it is never too early 🎁⛄
that’s also such a cute idea! I love decorating with these scandi ceramic cottages to put lights in during the holidays so that might be right up my alley ☺️🥰
I'm on a second pair of double felted slippers (Babbucce Dopie) with Sandness Garn Fritidsgarn. They are fun to knit. Our grandson gets a pair in dark teal, and his girlfriend in hot ink. They will be great for hanging out on a winter day. Next comes socks for several grandkids (all of our grandkids are in their 20s) and felted hats...maybe some handwarmers, not quit sure. I stared late this year which means they will get goodies through January. Too many WIPs that need attention and have to get off the needles before the end of the year (they were all started last winter and got interrupted), including a Norwegian sweater for hubby, a Marie Wallin for myself, and a pullover for a daughter.
Just purchased 3 hot water bottles and excited to search for the perfect pattern to make. Haven’t touched colorwork yet so I think I’ll keep it simple 😊. Thanks for the idea!
Thank you for all of the ideas 😊 I plan on making some scrunchies to keep on hand as a quick gift. Just wanted to say, I'm sure you can get "naked" hot water bottles at the pharmacy!
Love these ideas!! They gave me inspiration to make some tree ornaments. 🥰 I’m also excited to knit up a sweater for my husband and I have an idea to work on a holiday inspired hat or socks for myself as well during the KAL!
I loved this video Marlene! I already had a few of the patterns in mind but there were also some new ones. I can't wait to finish my big shawl project to do some of these for gifts and for myself!
These were such great ideas for gift or even self knitting. I have the water bottle on my list, but I think I’ll need to add some tiny socks to my tree too. I started my gift knitting at the beginning of the months to take the pressure off. Currently working on a headband to gift.
such cute ornaments! Last year I made a toque with a fluffy pom pom for a tree ornament. I'm thinking the mitten and sock ornaments might be nice additions for this year
hey, yes that’s it! thanks! it’s not a word a i’ve ever had to use before so I also had to google it while editing the video and was like huh, I really didn’t know this word 🫢
so in love with this video🥰, I was searching for some video inspirations on YT after I watched your video, sorry to say I did no find any good ones, yours is definitely the BEST inspirational one btw. love the chess what is it made from?
it depends, currently Im doing one with my members on discord but I’ve also hosted some on instagram with a friend + I love joining other people’s knitalongs on there! ☺️
