Stylist: How much would you charge for this service?
Clients: How much would you pay for this service?
Glam by Merry Personally I charge $65 not including hair. But i do charge for longer length as in butt length and knee length and floor length
I would charge at least $10 - $15 more than regular box braids. The technique....not everyone can do feed-ins..you have to add enough hair to keep a consistent flow.
Sherma Pogson do you think the $10 - $15 is worth the extra time?
RaShay’s World how much do you charge for regular box braids?
Sherma Pogson I agree and that what i do personally
Hey I just wanted to let you know you basically taught me how to do my own hair and others so I just want to thank you🙏🏾.I’m 13 and I do hair and I’m really good at it 👍🏾people used to make fun of me at school because I would give up my weekends to do hair but what they don’t realise is that it’s my passion ❤️and I really love 💓doing it. They stopped making fun of me now because when they asked me how much money I make in a week doing peoples hair I replied “ normally I do about 3 peoples hair so around 150-220 depending on the style and stuff” ‼️I absolutely love your channel and I wouldn’t of been able to even get to where I am now without your help and influence. 🥰ALSO HOW COMES NOBODY TOLD ME I COULD MAKE LIKE £600 a month just by doing hair and I can get box braids done in under 2 1/2 hours I could do like 5 peoples hair a week and earn like 1000 a month‼️ I gotta say I’m on a roll. Love ya💕
You go girl!!! Do your thang
Ok sis, that’s so good! Lmao meanwhile I’m here watching this from my bed just because.😂 but keep doing your thing. And chase the bag period.💰🏃🏾♀️
Absolutely do you, this is a business in the making... congratulations
Mind you that's more in dollars guys! An entrepreneur at 13... Is a Mogul at 30... If they don't give up, and don't get used to being comfortable. Keep growing, learning, adapting to the times as they change and stacking those reds, and greens!!!!! The only person who doesn't grow is a corpse. I'm proud of you!
Remember, if they're not laughing/talking at you, then maybe you haven't arrived yet! They're laughing = They're noticing! You're doing something very right! In the name of making fun of you, they're doing your marketing for you also... Can't beat that!
Keep pushing and never give up! Don't worry about people making fun of you. Practice makes you better and better at your gift. It takes dedication and sacrifice. But also remember to still rest and have fun too. And you'll be starting high school soon, if it offers Cosmetology, take it. It will be worth it. Talent can only get you so far, but in many places that certification is the key to unlock many doors.
My oldest niece started taking clients at your age and she owns her own business now. She was obsessed with hair as a kid! It's possible for you too. Don't give up on your dreams! Also, it's not their business how much you make. The only reason to tell your prices is when they're trying to get serviced. Not to nosy, jealous people. Please be careful and don't keep that money on you. 💜💜💜
I wish I could find someone that charges less than $300 and did quality work.
I think your price point is great
Gumdrop92 I do if u in NYC.
Dat9jascorpio Noturbizwax hi, I live in nyc I would really appreciate if you would share who you have in mind?
In Michigan, the most I’ve ever paid for box braids was $150, the least I’ve paid was $50.
i get mine done for free from my sister and shes really good!!!
phiephie hey sis. I do hair. I live in the Bronx.
Excellent job as usually!!!
My hair is medium length and thick, so I would pay $240 - $260 w hair for the knot less braids.
I think depending on the person's hair texture and length you can determine a fair price. You definitely have skills. God bless your talented hands!!!👌👍👏💯👑😃💖🤗
Ericka J Stevens I would consider $240, but $500?! I would get heart palpitations. 😂
She did do a good job but I think 🤔 she blessed her on top of what she originally charged her
Well my hair is long as well and I got this done at a braiding salon waist length small for $180 and it took 5 1/2 hrs . It looks amazing and parted too perfection 🥰
Your my favorite UA-camr!! You actually inspired me to start sharing my braid talent on youtube a couple of weeks ago!!
This is the best tutorial I have seen. You explained everything you did perfectly! Thank you for that!
I like that you charge by the hour. That’s awesome and it also lets the clients know look this is by the hour so when I’m done, this is the total price. I love it
Just tried this style for the first time.... it came out pretty darn good.... I'll drop some pics. I love this style. And love your vid great job as usual.
1. love your voice
2. best (most helpful) youtube video that i've found on knotless box braids
finally feeling confident enough to try these on myself next weekend. many many thanks!
I love your teaching. I just practiced one. Turned out good. Your a great teacher.
Her hair is gorgeous from the start, and the results were absolutely beautiful!
THANK YOUUUU❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been searching so long for an INFORMATIVE video on knotless box braids and you have helped me so much
You do such a amazing job I love your videos and with your technique and skills your price for service is good
Thank you so much for posting this video! I did this for the first time about a month ago after watching other UA-cam videos, but I appreciate this bc her hair is the exact same length and thickness as mine 😭🙌🏾
Wow. This is such a great video! Sometimes (with other videos) I can’t see the handwork but this camera angle really helped. And your tips and instructions were helpful too. Can’t wait to try this out at home. Thanks!
This is gorgeous, you'll get to 200k sis, you're a true artist, your videos are amazing.
I live for this intro 😊 beautiful work as always💙
You made it look so easy. I hope I can do it. Thank you for taking your time.
These are pretty!
I'm super obsessed with watching your videos!
Beautiful work! I would pay more for this level of work. It’s done with skill and care. Really suits the shape of her head and face! Great luck in your business ⭐️
I appreciate you explaining the ideal textures for this.
OOOOOH I LOVE IT👍🏾👍🏾😍😍😍PHENOMENON JOB!! MAY U STAY BLESSED AND GOD BLESS 💜💜💜
So detailed! I can’t wait to try these!
Your work is amazing❗️😍
Yes, I love your work
These are gorgeous. The price is so reasonable. I wish you were in Houston
🙋🏽♀️I love watching you braid. The OCD to details is a bonus for your clients. I love your technique for knotless braiding, your parting is on point. After watching your videos I feel like I can do the same. Lol I can't though. Maybe 10 yrs ago but not now Arthur makes my hands and fingers cramp and hurt. Anyway keep up the fantabulous beautiful work you do. God bless. 🙏🏾✌🏾❤🙋🏽♀️
Oh yeah I'm not a braider or stylist but I think pricing should go by hair texture and length. I use to braid my daughters hair when she was in elementary school and junior high school not so much in high school so I do know it's time consuming. I wish I knew then what I know now about the different techniques and stretching the hair. Braiding has evolved so much. I think if you went up to 300.00 you would still be at a fair price. Take care. GBU
🔥🔥you’re talented 💎
Yess omg i love this video , the information was very helpful
Come through goodie! Love it
Nice
Hi, I feel the price that you are charging is reasonable. But I am watching you.And it is a lot of work. And I do understand why some people charge what they charge.
Girl when are you coming to NY cause I need this look ASAP
That price is about right. Sidenote: do u have any tips and tricks for doing braids in a timely fashion - besides practice? My braids come out so beautiful, but it takes me 9 hours to do a set of medium thigh length braids on thick 4c , non blow dryed hair and I do prep the braiding hair. Omg.
Murray's hair pomade for braids and locks with help take the hair allowing easier braiding.
@@dionnepitts9858 thank you. I do use Jam as well.
As far as cutting down on time. You have to find your Braiding rhythm. Planning out your parts is another way and also dividing your hair in advance.
@@RaShaysWorld you are so right. It takes me so long to do parting because the natural hair isnt blow dryed.
Locs Mermaidia I can agree so it just depends on what natural hair. So my hair is natural long curl and fine. I used leave in conditioner and the part am not braiding I twist them so the moisture can lock. For other clients with course kinky natural hair I do the same and prepart
I did my hair like this perfectly one time size and all to where it wasn't to big to not fit in a ponytail and not too tiny...this looks like the size I want..i need to try again
You did a fabulous job.
This is definitely for me to try again. I have butt-length hair. And it's very thick. I'm still trying to learn. My first attempt was ok, but I wasn't good with lengthening the braids. So I ran out of hair at the ends. Lol I used the 20 inch hair. But I needed the longer packs. And I have chronic pain, so I was rushing to get done. Next time I will take my time.
Also, I wonder ig I'm allergic to the jam. I've tried some brands in the past and they broke me out. 😔 And even though I bought the ITCHLESS, I'm still having irritation. I guess I still need to soak in acv prior.
I have seen these done in large size and they look beautiful no knot at all. Theres a braider i follow on instagram not sure if she is the creator of the knotless, but the 1st ive seen do large before ive seen the small sizes. This is just a style u have to know what your doing.. great job!!😍
Beautiful work love the color your price is perfect 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🌹
I have 3b/3c hair and I prefer knotless over normal box braids. When using box braids my hair twirls and locks up but with these it's very natural. I do prefer the smedium size.
I like how you put the blond in too
U did a beautiful style
Excellent job stylist...excellent
You are so talented and the client's hair Is lovely Ma.
Beautiful as always! How many braids do you normally have for this style? Thanks.
U did a great job
I'm a braider here in MS. I charge according to length of the person's hair or what size they want the box braids!
That’s really good
Love it 😍
Super love it😍😍😍😍
Very well explained ❤Thank you
Thank you for slowing it down...now I FINALLY understand how it's done. I can't do braiding salons becuase they braid SOOOO TIGHT and I have fine AND thin hair so I have to be extra careful.
Is this a protective hairstyle to help your hair grow?
Great job♥
I'd charge around the same. Good price. It's more tedious for sure. Also I only charge more for shorter length of hair as it's harder to grip. I have never understood people charging more for longer hair, that's crazy to me bc its gonna be braided up anyways. Only caveat to that is if the stylist is detangling/washing/deep conditioning/blow drying the hair before hand, but often times client come prepped. So I charge by length of braid, density of braids, and size of the braids desired.
Your the bomb great detailed video thank you
Great job! How long were these braids? I wanted to get some down my back and I was wondering how much hair I would need for that.
Great super nice lovely job
When will you be opening up appt. for May?
Beautiful
I think you should be charging more for your services. You're amazing.
I think it depends on the perspective. I braid my own hair, but also am a client from time to time. For this size, length, quality, and the amount of time spent, I would easily pay $300 for this style.
When are you coming to Chicago?! I really want this style and I loveeee your work.
Love your styles, just started following and subscribing. Where can you get that wooden tool to separate the hair?
Suzette Mccalla it’s a thread rack you can get it from amazon Walmart any craft store
Do you travel and do hair? I would love the knotless boxbraids (nyc)
What kind of hair do you recommend for fine silky hair?
I’m doing my own long natural hair myself in the style and that women’s is just like my hair type
You really did a nice job
I love "ALL" of your braids. Where are you located? I live in South Carolina
Hiii please the piece of hair you're adding is it three separate pieces or a piece you have divided into three?
I think you do a wonderful job, i too was a braided while in nursing school, doing hair in the home. Starting at the age of 14. $25-30 per hour is reasonable and allow clients to purchase their own hair. Just a suggestion if you're not in a shop. A blow dryer works for fly away hair
25-30/hr...for braids..this is not rocket science...In other countries, including 1st world countries, they do not charge anywhere near that amount...They are robbing American Black women..but hey..if you all are willing to pay it.
@@lisangelblack9070 the stylist in the video chsrge $260 for that syl
@@lisangelblack9070 I recommended she reduce the price. But yes if people are willing to pay. To each its own. That's why I install my own. Everyone does not have the skill for braiding.. stylist develop carpal tunnel etc. At least get $20/ HR.
Is two packs of xpressions 84 inch hair be ok?
I learned how to do this by watching ur videos
So I have long thick hair like your client, but coarse. when I get box braids it's really bulky and I hate that because it's hard to manage. are the knotless box braids less bulky?
Yes and it takes way less hair
Thanks so much for you video. I’m doing braid with someone with long hair, why do we still need to add hair if it’s long already?
Where are you located? Not only do you know your craft, but you are a great instructor. It's one thing to know it, but it takes another set of skills to dummy it down for others. Great talent. I am more of a hands on person, any thought of doing a class? I would be your first student 🤗😍.
Very nice!
Well you pricing it perfect in USA your pricing is just amazing . Here in Italy no one will even pay 70€ for hair. My hairstylist charges 45€ for mine and she did an amazing job. So girl you price whatsoever you want because it takes a lot of time
The lady that do mine charges $150 with hair included
What is the wooden peg thing u keep the hair on called?
do you have to blowdry your hair before?
Great work!!!
Where are you located?
when you dip king hair at the end, does the natural hair not frizz up again? how does that work?
But 250 still high dough but I also understand that it takes time and for the hair to some ppl charge and it includes the hair
Actually if this client went to a salon she would've been charged at least $350-400
I feel your price is definitely reasonable and I would be perfectly fine paying for this service.
Pls could you leave a link for your work page on Instagram, i tried looking for it on the search bar but to no outcome. Thank you.
Anyone know how long these last?
Are you located in North Carolina by chance? If so I definitely need to come get my hair done. These look great 👍
Are you in NYC wonderful work
How long did her braids last.
So informational and great camera placement!! ❤️❤️❤️ I know how to braid pretty well, but I don’t rlly like braiding hair lol. I would charge around $200 for this, and I would pay around $200. Maybe I should look into braiding people hair then!
Depending on your location, you can charge $250+. In Miami, Dallas, and Atlanta, this could easily be $350
@@catchmorningtea6466 thanks for your reply. I live in Minnesota. So probably around 150 to 200 seem best.
How many packs of hair did you use? I did someone’s hair that was also long and thick and she had a bigger head, I use 7 packs. And I also charged $100 only because I’m have a end of the summer sale
Muuuuch better tutorial. I was able 2c what u were doin!!!
How many packs of hair do you prefer???
Does anyone know of any braids in Ga that do awesome work like this?
Latoya Porter hi! There is a braider by the name of HairbyHt in Instagram. She does knotless box braids-I actually have an appt in June 15th. She’s in Atlanta, GA
When you trim the hairs, is your natural hair also being trimmed?
No...it should not be. 😉
Are knotless box braids heavy?
2 years later n your at 296k n that’s on manifesting☺️
You are very good so your price is extremely reasonable. Especially since the price includes hair.
